Run from Mc Carpentry, DO NOT HIRE!!! Mike Collins owner of Mc Carpentry talks a big game but doesn't back up his work ethic or the quality he puts out. He will tell you customer satisfaction is his number one goal but once you bring up an issue or multiple issues he will tell you that you're wrong and he knows what he's doing. We hired him to gut the upstairs of our home (a small hallway, bathroom and bedroom) every project he wanted to make bigger and wouldn't complete a single step before starting the next step in the process. Everything he did has to be gutted again and fixed by another contractor. NOTHING is up to NYS code, even tho he will tell you they are. We agreed on $10,000 for 2 weeks worth of labor, he then made projects bigger then what was needed and told us it be another weeks worth of work. Didn't get to finish 1 single thing he started in the 3 weeks time!! Save your self and run the other way!!!! Mike since I cant replay to your lying response ill do it here. You did not just have an agreement with Damian it was with ME (Randy his husband also, We both made decision on what was happening with you) The job you did was just HORRIBLE, We brought it to your attention a few times and told you thing needed to be fixed, You would come up with some lie and only made the project bigger and worse than what you already did. (I HAVE PICTURES OF UR BAD WORK THAT YOU CALL AMAZING AND OH SO GOOD) which its horrible and you call your self a master carpenter, LOLL My response to your work pictures that you sent me, You where 25 feet away HOW IN THE CAN I TELL IN THEM PICTURES THAT THE TRIM CUTS WERE HORRIBLE, WAY OFF, CUTS NOT EVEN OR LEVEL AND HAD BIG GAPS ON ALL SIDES THAT DID NOT TOUCH THE WALL (once again we have pictures that prove my point) Our (3 of us) agreement was $5,000.00 Per week unlimited hours and you told many of people that. 0 stars! STAY AWAY!! SCAMMER! He will make your house look worse then it did before. Mike is completely unprofessional, has the lowest quality of work, and is a complete scam artist. He has taken zero accountability, nor apologized once for how TERRIBLE of a job his workers did at our home. Along with the terrible quality of work, our house was completely trashed with dust, since they did not tent off anything like Mike assured he would. I only rated them one star because we couldn't go lower. While repairing Mike's work, we have discovered that the door opening to the storage area so off by an inch and a half, meaning we have to move one side of the wall before we can even put in a door casing, The wall should have been framed at 16 inches on center so we have something to nail the wall panels to. Some studs are 15 inches apart, some 17, but nothing at 48 inches, so there is nothing to nail to. I'm sure this is all over Mike Collins head.
