The food is good (love that crispy crust and salad bar selection), but the last two times we have been there over the lunch hour the employees are really struggling to keep up. There were three people working, but tables were dirty, salad bar had multiple empty containers and pizza buffet was rarely replenished and never full. There were a few pizzas that even stayed on the bar for the entirety of our visit. Management needs to either hire more people or train the employees to handle the lunch rush. read more

Trip back in time. Used to go to Mazzios in the 80s. Was $2.99 for the buffet. Poor college student. They have been gone for decades from our part of the world. Not good, not horrible. Quick pizza buffet with a salad bar. Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed. read more

I walked in and made it to go order. 45 minutes later when I was the only one in the restaurant it still wasn't ready. I had ordered the calzone and wing special with the calzone to be only ground beef, pepperoni, and bacon. What I got was spicy sausage and pepperoni. And it wasn't really very appetizing. I don't give out 5 stars to often but this pizza joint has the best pizza and there cinnamon sticks are to die for. We use to live close to a Mazzio's and I ate here at least once a week. The pizzas and there breadsticks are delicious. I like how there not skimpy on there ingredients. Plus I'm telling ya there cinnamon sticks are nice and gooey and just plain delicious. Took over an our for a small personal pan pizza. Not efficient all definitely not good enough to wait that long for a simple pizza order that I placed online. Love their buffet but it was smaller than expected. They have 3-4 pizza varieties out at a time plus a dessert and cheese dippers. They also have a salad bar. Decided to try out Mazzio's because they have a lunch pizza buffet during the week. They always seem to have coupons in the mail that can save you a couple bucks. I believe there were about 6 or 8 pizzas to choose from, each with different toppings, and they also had cheese bread. All the pizzas were thin crust (which I like), and were nice and crispy, not soggy. They brought out a fresh pizza at a pretty steady pace keeping the buffet full. Pizzas were your typical restaurant style, nothing super-fancy, just a good hot & fresh pie. The salad bar looked pretty good, fresh lettuce & lots of toppings, even had pickled okra (yum!). Desert had brownies, chocolate-chip cookie pizza, and a cinnamon-roll type thing. All three were really good but the cinnamon sweet desert was probably my favorite. The only downside to this place is it *really* looks run down and in need of some serious remodeling. But it was clean inside, smelled of fresh pizza, and cold A/C. I have loved Mazzio's pizza for many years. Recently becoming gluten-free led me to the discovery of how good their gluten free pizza crust is. Last week, while purchasing several lunch buffets, I requested a gluten-free pizza which they made to order. Today, I was told I couldn't request a gluten-free pizza with a buffet purchase, even though I reminded them I had last week. The cashier said the manager told her they would not be doing that anymore. It's ironic that at the table where my family sat was one of their tent promos that read: "Your favorite pizza not on the buffet? Just ask... we'll make one for you." I was surprised when my husband suggested we eat here but it was a Tuesday night which is buffet night! One price-all you can eat pizza, salad bar and dessert. What was good-pizza stayed fresh, decent salad bar selection and the staff stayed on top of removing used plates. Not so good- the pizza itself. Thin and overdone. Dessert area was under a heat lamp and had been there awhile. When I grabbed the utensil to scoop up a piece of dessert pizza, it burned my hand. Literally. It was that hot and my fingers/palm burned the next half hour. I had to keep my hand wrapped around my drink cup. With all the pizza places in town to enjoy, this isn't one of them. I HATE posting bad things about good businesses, but our local Mazzio's is in desperate need of some help. We went at 12:30 on a Wednesday afternoon, during their lunch buffet, and it was abysmal to say the least. There were 5 SLICES, not pans, literally 5 slices of cold, dried up pizza on the buffet, every single table was dirty, and had used cups and plates on it, one of the employees was making pizzas in the back without gloves, after repeatedly touching his face and hair and ringing up customers ate the front. Here's the worst part, there were only 2 men working during buffet hours. They definitely weren't able to keep up with the demands of the customers, and it was so depressing to watch. My mom and I were about to start cleaning tables for them to give them a hand when 2 delivery people came back to the restaurant, one of them being the manager. The manager came I , went to the back and got to work, while one gentleman was able to come out and start cleaning tables. I LOVE Mazzio's and I hat seeing them struggle. The need to hire more people to help during lunch rush, and try to keep up with the cleaning. Once the manager and other delivery person were back in the store, they were able to get more food out and refill the salad part of the buffet. I hope they continue to stay busy so they stay open, but they for sure need extra employees. The food was great, hot and fresh once it came out. read more

Called customer service and was told there is nothing they can do since I ordered through a "3rd party". Would not even connect me to the actual store. Very poor customer service. read more
