Great spot: super food; attentive, kind servers; & killer ocean views! I can't believe we were ably to score the perfect table as walk-ins.

Attentive service, and wonderful views of the ocean! The food was great as well. And our meal was under 50.00 for two!

Warm refried beans served alongside the delicious salsa with warm chips is a nice touch. Had the Chicken and mushrooms. Oh so good. Original Margaritas here are AMAZING! Major kick! Only negative was the 3 enchiladas plate. Cheese was barely cheesy, chicken was dry and beef was rubbery. Everything else was great. Very friendly service from the waitress. She rocked!

Missed opportunities. A well made Cadilac Margarita & was not asked if I wanted a second one. Seafood Chimichanga was very tasty full of seafood excellent. Second visit I had a stuffed Beef Burrito & Enchilada both excellent & meaty. The house margarita was excellent you can taste the tequila, I had to ask for a second one. Waitress & Waiters you do not get if you do not ask, do not be shy & ask all customers if they would like a second drink. Sale, Sale, Sale.

Went here in our first night of a vacation to Depoe Bay. Waited 10 minutes and were then seated. Highlights were the chips, beans, enchiladas, and chimichangas. A bit pricey - but to be expected in a touristy town.

Good Mexican food with great views of Depoe Bay. I ordered a combination plate- 1 shredded beef taco, one cheese enchilada and 1 chicken tamal, with beans and rice. Being from Southern California, I am VERY particular about Mexican food. This was a good, not great, but pretty good find in the Pacific Northwest! Everything was good- the shredded beef was AWESOME! Great flavour- I will be ordering anything on the bell with that beef! The beef was 5* but I'm giving the restaurant 4* bc There should have been more sauce on and more cheese inside of the enchilada, the masa on the tamale was a bit weak, and they use store bought hard tortilla shells rather than frying their own. The place is pretty inside- beautiful murals all over- it feels a bit dated, but is pretty, with a homey charm to it- and all is clean, just been used for a while. They have at least 2 locations, so next time I will try the one in Newport and see how it compares- I'm sure it can't beat the views of the bay! If you're in town and want Mexican food- go to Mazatlan!!

A place doesn't have to be big for it to be good. If you are looking for cool decors and some gimmicks then this ain't your place. But if you are looking for amazing food, really good margaritas and exceptional service then this is your place. I felt like i was transported to my Mexican friends house and was the guest of honor. It's that authentic and genuine. This place is a gem and i cannot rave enough!

Greeted by friendly staff and seated immediately...close to the window by the entrance, right next to a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. That was the only empty table when we arrived. The place was packed. Chips and salsa came in quick and they were gone in no time. My kiddos love them. We got a refill. We ordered the following which I'll recommend. $22 Alberto's Burrito - delicious. This was recommended by our waiter. Fresh avocados, well seasoned burritos, large portions. $16 Bean & Beef burrito - my kiddo's fav. He devoured it. $16 - 3 tacos combo - plate was clean when all said and done. We had $4 lemonades for drinks. They come with refills. Overall, great service, delicious food, & good ambiance. We'll swing by next time we are in the area.

What truly stood out was the service. The owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of the entire time. Genuine hospitality like that is hard to find these days, and it really made the experience memorable. Great service, good food, and a warm atmosphere. We'll definitely be back and would recommend Los Caporales to anyone looking for a welcoming place to eat! We will be back the next time we visit the Oregon Coast!

It's really tough to rate this. It was great and then not so good. So here goes…read more To begin with Oscar's looks like a full service restaurant. It isn't. It has seats inside but yet you order at the counter, find your own seat and wait for the counter person to yell at what you ordered to go pick it up. Then, of course, the tab asks how much you want to tip. Well, NO. Inside is clean, a little run down but appeared clean. Everything else appeared pretty worn out. Not the food .... we both ordered taco salads and we were definitely pleased with the taco salads. They were very good. Next we cleaned up our table, dumped items in the trash and stored the tray. The big question is would we go back. Yes. We would because the taco salads were very good,

( for reference, we love Mexicali Express, Taco del Sol, Don Pedro, and La Parilla Kitchen on the west side of PDX). This was not a great experience. We got two chicken quesadillas with a side of guac and a diet pepsi and I spent $30 including tip. The woman in the window was very nice, the tortilla part of the quesadilla was pretty properly grilled on the outside at least,( although there were some pieces of random meat and veg stuck to the outside of both tortillas), and the red and green hot sauces were good, those are the high points. My diet Pepsi's syrup to carbonated water ratio was off, the guacamole was gloopily weirdly nasty, and the shredded chicken in the quesadilla was stringy and wet. Mediocre. Oh, and the orange cheese inside the quesadilla was strange! Also we expected something to come with the quesadilla for $9.99 -a blob of sour cream, tomato slices with shredded lettuce, a handful of chips, or smidge of rice and beans maybe but that is not the case. My spoiled child, 22, threw most of their meal out. Plus out went the weird slimy guac and my soda. I ate most of my quesadilla but it was just sad, man. We will be either quesadilla-ing at home or hitting a taco truck next time. Try something else but probably skip the chicken.
