I read the reviews and still questioned how good Mexican food could be on the Oregon coast. I came away impressed and will certainly be back. Updated menu photos included for reference.

My kid and his BF got tacos for date night.I got to try leftovers, yum.

I have a definite Pavlovian response to weather warming up because I grew up in Arizona. When it's warm/hot, I want Mexican food. This has been a little difficult in Oregon and even harder at the coast. It is not the same. We have been to the two other usual Mexican Lincoln City spots a few times over the years with my former in laws. They are ok. But not delicious, not really. Pretty gringo- ish. Which is so sad. The kid and his BF had gone to La Roca on a date recently after our Latina phlebotomist at Samaritan gave it a positive report. The kids liked it. So today on chemo day we kept breakfast light and picked up takeout after. The woman on the phone was efficient and promised 15 minutes for pickup! We were lucky and scored parking right in front. At 3pm it was busy. It is cute inside. Kid got fish tacos and a horchata. Why mess with perfection? he said. I didnt get to see him eat cuz I stepped out of the room for five min when we got home. INHALED ! I got a carne asada plate. Everything was delicious. The beans and rice were just right. There were 3 soft warm tortillas. It was not hella expensive like some (most) other coast places. In the bag we found tasty yummy red and hot green salsas, , chips, plasticware, napkins, and everything was packaged and plated well. Awesome. I am a very happy camper and we will do it again. The kid is a fan too.

I asked for two cheese enchiladas red sauce. They brought me a full meal with mole sauce. Tool 15 min to get my drink and it wasn't busy.

Yum! I've been eating La Roca since the 90s in Philomath, and I was so pleased to stop here in Lincoln City. My order used to be the super burrito split in half with my best friend. Today, I got a carne asada burrito covered in chili verde sauce. The flavors were just like I remembered and I enjoyed it very much. I brought half of it home and it was great the next day too! Gracias, Nuñez familia!

I had just flown in from California and drove in from Portland. . It was a very rainy night and we were in desperate search for a Mexican restaurant and we found Mazatlan restaurant. We got there literally a few minutes before the closing time - there is no other customers in the restaurant, as I mentioned it was raining with a kind of slashing rain that can occur near the coast. They're about to close, but when we walked in, they were as gracious as ever and what was a pleasant surprise was that the food there was amazing. I had a three enchilada combination plate and to this date, it remains a benchmark for delicious chicken enchilada. The Service was just superb. It was better than coming back home to family. no complaining or the slightest misgiving for us late comers. There was no issues like that. The ambience of the restaurant is clean and comfortable with benchseated tables. The service was wonderful. The food was wonderful. The discussion and talks I had with my friends was wonderful. It was a reunion after so many years and I've always had this warm memory of that dinner and how wonderful the enchiladas were. I just continued to search locally for enchiladas that are that good and so I just want to say thank you to the family-owners. My friend paid that night, I hope he left a big tip! I imagine it's a family owned restaurant. They were just really gracious for these guests who were coming in at the closing moments. They're about to close but they treated us so well in the food was just absolutely wonderful. I really appreciate it so thank you and it was just time for me to leave a review years after the fact.. I thought it would be a disservice for me not to write a review for this wonderful restaurant.

¡ Hola, mis Amigos y Amigas!…read more Sometimes you NEED tacos, mainly because they're proof that sometimes everything is exactly the way it should be vs. most everything else. So, I took my craving to Super Oscar's for the first time tonight, seeking confirmation and comfort food. Ordered (3) birria tacos with consommé and (1) large horchata at the counter, grand total was tad under 20 bucks. But before my order is ready, should probably mention first that the place is on the "rustic" side (little to no emphasis on interior design or repairs), there's a tv present but unfortunately not on Monday Night Football (or anything else) and the salsa bar was disheveled at best. But hey... all that has nothing to do with food and the service was on-point. The nice woman at the counter smiled often, was bilingual, answered menu questions and even double checked on me while inhaling the second taco. It's a good thing. Speaking of which, someone said "Birria Tacos!" loudly up front prior of course and I didn't need a second reminder. So, I flew up and carried the heavy sack back to my clean, mismatched table. As you can see by the photo, they're large and overflowing with protein and just the right amount of melty, melty cheese. Yes, I know that cheese is a protein too. And yes, one melty was probably enough. But if THAT wasn't enough, they came with a tiny dunking tank, slice 'o lime and two Christmas salsa choices to adjust to taste. Would have been a bit bland without, flavortown when added. The horchata was flat as well but thankfully a sprinkle of cinnamon was added on top, simply ask for more to swirl in (...if that's your jam). Best birria ever? That's a stretch. But, definitely a solid Lincoln City option. And judging by how busy Super Oscar's drive-thru was during this visit on an "off" night, seemingly others agree... Mantente Hambriento, e

Our server opened our bottle of wine, the appetizers came out in a timely manner and I have to say, the calamari was cooked perfectly.  However,  when the main dish came out, the fish with shrimp on top, we bit in to the shrimp and it was completely overcooked. Such a disappointment after the calamari.  We took the shrimp and put them on a small plate and placed it at the end of the table. We continued to eat figuring someone will stop and ask about the shrimp but no one did. Several employees walked by and one even stopped and picked up dishes but never asked about the shrimp.  The server finally came around and and asked about dessert.  It was then that we spoke to him about the shrimp.  We were told that he can take it off the bill or use the amount towards a dessert.  It was definitely a disappointment.  In this situation,  I've normally experienced a manager to stop by but that wasn't the case here. Im not sure if it is protocol in your establishment or not.  Thank you for your time

And wait we did - about 45 minutes to be seated. By the time we sat down, I was starving and ready to order immediately. I had the Benedict Florentine, my friend ordered the seafood omelet but substituted salmon for the seafood (for an additional charge), and we split the French toast. Despite how packed the restaurant was, our food came out surprisingly quickly. What impressed me just as much as the food was the service. Our waitress was also hosting, yet somehow remained incredibly kind, attentive, and on top of everything. She checked on us several times, and the bussers were just as wonderful - clearing plates and refilling water without us ever having to ask. You could tell this was a well-run operation where everyone worked together. Now, THE BREAD. Oh. My. Gosh. I am not a big bread person. I can go months without eating it and not think twice. But whatever bread they served with my Benedict Florentine was OUT OF THIS WORLD. So light, soft, and delicious that I genuinely don't know what they did to it. Put an entire loaf in front of me and all bets are off. You've been warned. Everyone raves about the French toast, and yes, it was very good - but honestly? The bread itself impressed me so much that part of me thought it was almost a shame to toast it! Between the beautiful setting, great food, and a staff that handled an incredibly busy morning with such ease, Wildflower Grill was absolutely worth the wait. Definitely one to check out while you're in Lincoln City!

I ordered two of the cheesy double beef burritos. I asked again if there was rice in those and she mumbled something and I said OK well if there is rice in them, I want the rice left out just have them make them without the rice and she said OK. Does everything look correct on the screen? I said yes it does. I saw the two burritos for $5.98. She then ask if I wanted any kind of sauce with it and I said yeah give me a handful of hot sauce. All right that'll be $5.98. Please pull forward. Got up to the window paid for my order got my change and she handed the bag through the window. Can't remember at that point if she said anything or not Bear in mind, there were only two people eating inside the restaurant and no one else in the drive-through line. I pulled out and I thought I better check this. I just had a bad feeling open the bag no hot sauce pulled into a parking spot. Walked in and waited about three minutes for a lady to finish her order which was fine. I mean I was the second line and the young lady that was handling. The drive-through was also handling the counter and she was very chatty with the lady that was making the order and she said I'll get that for you in just a second and she started to walk away from the counter and I cleared my throat because I was in the line and she hadn't even acknowledged me yet and she looked over at me and I said I was just through the drive-through and I asked for a hand full of hot sauce there is no hot sauce in my bag so she without saying anything walks back to the bin, grabbed about a dozen packages of hot sauce and came up and dumped them in the bag and turned around without ever saying, oh I'm really sorry I got busy and forgot whatever there was nothing no communication no nothing went right back to the window where she had been taking orders and I had specifically asked for no rice in the burritos and I got home with them and I live 20 miles north of Lincoln City and there is no Taco Bell anywhere near me and I picked up one of the burritos out of the bag and unwrapped it a little bit and it was full of rice. I'm assuming they both were so I guess my advice would be this Taco Bell location is back to its old tricks like it was about four years ago where you couldn't get any order correct and they ended up firing everybody in the store and replacing them with a new crew and manager at this point super Oscars is looking really good because at least they speak to you as if you are a valued customer and they want your business. I could understand her not saying anything about oh I'm sorry I forgot your hot sauce or anything past the point of dumping the stuff in the bag if it were busy, but as I said, there were only two customers sitting at a table eating in the restaurant and by the time I turned around there was one car in the drive up so it wasn't because they were too busy anyway very disappointed probably won't be back as there are many restaurants in Lincoln City that not only need the tourist dollars but they appreciate the money that the locals spend also
