After dropping my laundry off to wash and running some errands, I returned to swap to the dryer well before closing time. I was greeted by who I presume was the owner aggressively telling me to read the sign that he had taped to my washer. It read something about guests needed to be on site by 8:00 PM, an hour before closing time. It was about 8:05 at the time of my arrival. I still had a good 50+ minutes to wrap up the drying of my clothes before the scheduled closing time. Instead of recognizing this, the owner viciously told me to leave since behavior like this will only be tolerated at Qualify Dairy, the other laundromat in town. I'm frankly not sure what that is supposed to mean since I took my wet clothes to QD and loaded them without hassle or harassment. I'm very happy to say that I will not be going to this business from now on, and would not recommend Wash Basket to anyone. I know that the owner doesn't care about this since he says he takes the same check to the bank either way, but I hope this helps save someone else from a negative experience.

Multiple customers have complained of the same thing & it's still not fixed! They have turned a very happy & loyal customer into a very irritated customer, looking for another laundromat, in all senses of the word irritated! When I came back to switch my clothes to the dryer, I found that the SECOND washer was also broken...with my clothes inside. I called the number on the sign. There is no attendant on duty. After I explained my problems to the owner he began to bemoan his financial issues rather than address my own. When I told him his fiscal concerns were not MY concern he told me to take my clothes and leave. I got salty, I admit. But he went on to disparage me AND the other people who live in this "garbage city".

I'm not…read morea regular user; I only use the laundromat for our large blankets, comforters, and bedspreads that don't fit in our washer at home. I'll confess I didn't compare prices before, but rather just used the place my wife had used before in Tecumseh. Today I turned left instead of right when leaving our subdivision, because I wanted to combine trips and buy something in a store in Brooklyn. Both laundromats are about the same distance from our house. I'm very happy I did! The last place I used charged $6.00 per load in the big front-loading washers I use for our larger items. Here the same size washer is only $4.25! Obviously, that's not a massive savings, but saving $3.50 on two loads is nothing to ignore, and you obviously can save even more if you have more loads. The attendant was friendly, and there was a fresh pot of free coffee too!
