I noticed after pick up the next day, that there was a patch of stiffness I understood to be soap residue. I asked them to wash it again. I appreciated the efforts to get my blankie clean. They sell snacks and have about 10 parking spots.

Last time this happened I tried a place I shall not name on 124 street- and was not impressed. Anyways. So far- so great here. Lots of machines to pick from. Friendly greeting at coming through the door. No problem getting lots of change. Machines are 6 bucks for the super big loads- which can handle a lot- 3.50 for the smaller ones- and .25 cents to dry for either 3-5 min- depending on the machine strength. Owner helpfully just rolled a laundry cart my way to use for transportation of the loads from washer to dryer. Good area- my husband is off perusing the antique mall while I chill here. This place is old but you can tell the owners are taking pride in keeping it tidy. All in all not such a bad start to the day!

I think their English may not be that good but they can communicate. They turned a man away with work coveralls because it smelled of oil - he was not happy but they have clear rules about this and given that the machines are shared it makes sense. The laundromat is tidy and machines are cleaned after each use.

A cheerful and friendly sounding man aid that they were open, and not very busy. When I got there and began bringing my bags in, the man from the phone came over smiling and gave me a cart and helped me load them. I had blankets and several load of clothes. He showed me which machines to use so that I got the best bang for my buck! He then starting helping me fill the machines! The facility was extremely clean and had nice shiny, super clean new looking machines. The man was frequently tidying, cleaning. I found the machines worked well also. The price to wash and dry I thought was very reasonable. They also have a drop off service. I left with my clothes feeling really badly that I had chosen this place. That night at 9 PM I got a call from a number I didn't recognize. I normally don't answer numbers I don't recognize, but something told me to answer this one. There was a man on the other end, asking if I had called his laundromat today and did I have a white hat? I immediately recognized the man's voice from the laundromat, and said I had. He said he was cleaning the machines for the night, when he found a load of laundry. I immediately realised I'd forgotten that one load in the washer. He said he'd dry them for me and I could pick up in the morning. When I got there in the morning, his wife was there folding clothing and gave me a beautiful smile. He explained that when he found my clothes, he knew I'd been the last to use that machine. So he went through his phone to see if he could find my number on it. They were such nice people that this is definitely the place in going to use in the future when I have a washing machine break down.

The first time, they returned a comforter with mildew stains still on it. The second time, they returned a velvet quilt visibly altered, with pilling, a rough texture, and a clear change in colour. Even after acknowledging the issue, they refused to take responsibility, relied on fine print, and were defensive rather than apologetic. The quilt had great sentimental value to me. They may be fine for basic items like shirts, but do not trust them with anything of value -- there is no quality control and no accountability. Their slogan about "treating customers like family" is just marketing, not a reality.

I can understand the "bad" moments, as some other customers are very rude with high expectations: and Lynn will say it like it is. She's not shy that's for sure. I've seen her work, it's very hectic, she's doing 10 things at once and then a rude customer will come in right when their closing, trying to do laundry.......like maybe show up an hour before they close! Instead of being rude with high expectations. Peter is also very busy, and is in his old age, however some customers don't care and are very ignorant with him when it's 10 minutes to closing time. The drop off service is excellent, I asked for my pick up to be in 2-3 days, Lynn had it done same day, along with 15 other orders that were due. She was also very nice to my children, gave them colouring books and treats. I take my laundry to her regularly now. All the sour comments, are probably because people seem to think that they can just leave their laundry there, and use the wrong machines because they can't read signs. I would take my laundry and bedding to Lynn any day. She cleaned my bed mattress that was stained and yellow, and made it bright white. She will go out of her way if treated right. Get on her bad side and look out.......probably deserved it. I love Broadmoor Laundry. My children do to. "Can we go see Lynn Mom?" (If you pay over and above, that's storage fees from what I understand, pick your items up when you state your going to) as they are very busy there.
