Old man there wouldn't leave me alone... watching me load a machine, following me around like I did something wrong when I did nothing.

I called this laundromat because of the reviews on Yelp, and it was reasonably close. I called to…read moresee if they were open. A cheerful and friendly sounding man aid that they were open, and not very busy. When I got there and began bringing my bags in, the man from the phone came over smiling and gave me a cart and helped me load them. I had blankets and several load of clothes. He showed me which machines to use so that I got the best bang for my buck! He then starting helping me fill the machines! The facility was extremely clean and had nice shiny, super clean new looking machines. The man was frequently tidying, cleaning. I found the machines worked well also. The price to wash and dry I thought was very reasonable. They also have a drop off service. I left with my clothes feeling really badly that I had chosen this place. That night at 9 PM I got a call from a number I didn't recognize. I normally don't answer numbers I don't recognize, but something told me to answer this one. There was a man on the other end, asking if I had called his laundromat today and did I have a white hat? I immediately recognized the man's voice from the laundromat, and said I had. He said he was cleaning the machines for the night, when he found a load of laundry. I immediately realised I'd forgotten that one load in the washer. He said he'd dry them for me and I could pick up in the morning. When I got there in the morning, his wife was there folding clothing and gave me a beautiful smile. He explained that when he found my clothes, he knew I'd been the last to use that machine. So he went through his phone to see if he could find my number on it. They were such nice people that this is definitely the place in going to use in the future when I have a washing machine break down.

HE EVEN TOOK MY CRUDE OIL COVERED RAINSUIT HOME AND WIPED IT OFF BY HAND... Seriously, I could not recommend this gentleman enough. I live on the east end of Ellerslie and I make the trip to see him. Totally worth it. Inexpensive, fair prices and NO HEADACHE. We need more people like this in the world.

This post will be about the 2 times I have been to this laundromat and 1 story about another…read moreperson's experience. I will also make a lot of assumptions about the owner and his business. These assumptions are not based on fact as I don't really know the owner. I don't even know his name. The First Time I came to clean some blankets and in the beginning the owner seemed very helpful. I was a little confused when he tried to teach me how to wash my clothes. I went to go check the clothes mid way through the drying cycle and he stopped me and said I shouldn't. I told him some of the blankets dry fast and needed to be removed. He insisted I not interrupt the drying cycle, I refused and he was annoyed. From that point on he would keep asking me when I was going to leave because he needed to close up, which was very weird. He then watched me while I folded my clothes. The Second Time There is a sign that states the sink is only for minor washes, so I went to clean off a makeup stain on my jacket with a brush near by. The owner comes along and says the sink is only for washing your hands. I told him it would only take a few minutes to get the stain off and I would put it in the washing machine. He then said "are you here to wash your clothes or are up to something else". He was aggressive and tried to get a reaction out of me. I calmly asked if he wanted me to leave, he gestured towards the door and said "leave". I walked out and told him to have a good day. Another Person's Experience This individual had a normal time, up until they had to dry there clothes. The clothes were still wet after the drying cycle, so they went to put it in again to dry some more. The owner came along and told them they were not allowed and should dry their clothes at home. Assumptions - The owner only acts up when people dry their clothes. There is something wrong with the dryers that he's trying to hide it - Business is slow and the man has turned bitter and has no clue what good customer service is - Maybe he's a nice guy and I caught him on a bad day, or maybe he has a bad day everyday - He didn't like me and that's why he was all up in my grill - The way he treats his customers has hurt his business and he knows it - He lets his emotions get the best of him - He seeks to irritate the customer and enjoys when they react to his foolish antics Final Thoughts I have too much time on my hands, I shouldn't be writing a review this long for a laundromat. I will be taking my clothes to another laundromat.

It was handy and I got my clothes dry but this place is pretty gross. First off, there was no one there? No staff at all. Is that normal? I've never used a laundromat before so I wasn't sure if it was. The first dryers you come to are not working but don't have a sign on them. Super annoying putting wet clothes in and out of dryers to find one that works. I moved to the newest looking dryer and that worked for the most part but stole a few extra quarters from me. There is a change machine that works well and a machine for detergent if you need it. I noticed a vending machine for coke but don't know if it works. There is a bathroom at the back that I did not venture into. It would not take much to make this place cleaner and more appealing. Shame it's been neglected as it sounds like it used to be great a few years back. If I need to use a laundromat again, I'll travel further to one that's a bit more pleasant.

There weren't too many machines of each type, and only one "Triple loader" in working order. Of the larger front loaders, only about half of them worked. One of them said "SUDS" when the load was over and wouldn't open. At all. The number on the wall was unreachable until 9pm close when I called again and the owner was just next door. The place was just like a regular laundromat, pretty dead, thankfully since we took up every working machine. The washers ranged from $2 for the regular washing machines, $3 for the front loaders and $4.25 for the triple loader. The dryers are $.25 for about 8 minutes. Its definitely advisable to mix up your towels between loads to dry or they'll take forever. Eventually, the owner answered my phone call once all my laundry was done and came and released the load that was locked in the machine. It was sopping wet. He graciously offered to re-wash the load and dry it for me and we could come pick it up in an hour. We came by an hour later and it was still trying to dry for another 25 minutes. So that sucked.
