She also allowed us to move in to an unsafe, mouldy house and admitted that the previous tenants had the same problem. Our clothes and furniture were destroyed after only a couple of months there. She told us that it wasn't the dangerous kind of mould and ignored some of our emails with photographs of the issue. It was only when we contacted Threshold and an Environmental Health Officer that she instructed us to clean the mould away using masks then she sent in a painter to use mould-suppressing paint. The reason for writing this review is to hopefully save some other poor tenants from having to go through what my partner and I had to endure. And if you decide to go with this agency, make sure to have everything in writing before you sign on the dotted line.

Given there are a lot (LOT!) of time wasting sales man in this business and a lot of horror stories, hopefully you can find this quite useful. The agency is Get-Let.ie. I've dealt with Gavin, one of the owners (and landlord as well). An incredibly nice guy - he came to Allendale, explained us all the process, the fees (lower than market average, and well worth if you don't want the hassle to deal with minor things / taxes / etc...) and the process in a very clear way. He is a "I recommend you to do this, but then it's your choice" kind of guy. After we signed the contract, he took the picture of the house, posted them on Daft and within 3 days we had 4 viewings in an evening. All filtered by dozens of application he received using a number of criteria he proved to be successful in his experience. The day after he had 3 offers, 1 of those was actually from a very nice Irish couple - what you could define "perfect tenants". Both with great stable jobs and income. The day after, deposit and contract signed. Everything sorted in less than a week. He is managing more than 300 properties, has discounted contractors to deal with any sort of minor problem, but most of all has been recommended to me by 2 friends that use it from years, with them (landlord) and their tenants both very happy. Terrie Dunne brings shame to the entire property letting business…read more Landlords and tenants alike need to beware of dealing with this woman as she does not speak one word of truth. As landlords, she will select a tenant that could be the devil himself as long as she makes her commission and then runs away from all issues she has caused. I state this from fact as we had the misfortune to select her to rent our property and she knowingly let the house to tenants with pets although we were very clear with Terrie Dunne upfront, that no pets were allowed and as stipulated in the lease agreement. This among other promises and guarantees which Terrie Dunne made to both us, as landlords , and the tenants, resulted in legal action having to be taken at our expense simply because of Terrie Dunne's inappropriate actions and misconduct. We again are renting our house but did not select Terrie Dunne due to the past history mentioned above and with which she is very disgruntled , as events over recent weeks have proven. Terrie Dunne was employed to rent a nearby house. Viewers to that house were informed by Terrie Dunne that our house, had major issues and not habitable and recommended that they steer clear of our house. This information was directly relayed to our letting agent by viewing parties. These are viewers that saw through her but I wonder how many did she directly play a role in having them cancel viewing appointments. Terrie Dunne lacks any ounce of integrity and is a disgrace to the property letting profession. She has no conscience or comprehension as to how to act professionally or in the interests of both landlord and tenants. Not one word of truth is uttered from this woman's mouth as her sole interest is to line her pockets as quickly as she can. Steer clear.

When we first visited the Tallaght branch, the staff were extremely helpful, especially Colm, who really went out of his way to assist us. This gave us confidence to go with Deskelly, even though their pricing was only average compared to other quotes. We chose them because we expected professionalism and reliability from a larger company. Unfortunately, the reality was very different. Endless Postponements: Dates we had confirmed in the shop were not entered into their system. More than once, I was told last-minute that the fitting was postponed, including on the very morning I was expecting them. This caused huge stress, especially since I had to rearrange the delivery of a new bed and other furniture several times. Customer Care Issues: Communication with customer care was one of the most frustrating parts. Calls were cut off while I was still talking, promises of follow-up were not kept, and I constantly had to chase updates myself. The lack of respect for my time and situation was very disappointing. Inconsistent Fitting Standards: The LVT team did an excellent, clean job. The carpet fitting, however, was messy and inconsistent. Some areas were left unfinished, and in one case the fitter admitted he had used leftover carpet because the measurement hadn't been done properly. Since Deskelly themselves took the measurements, I don't understand how this could happen, and I was left feeling like I had to accept poor standards for something I paid a premium for. In the end, the work was only completed after weeks of stress, delays, and unnecessary back-and-forth. For a company that presents itself as professional and charges above handyman prices, I honestly expected far better. Overall, while some staff tried to help (again, Colm was excellent), the overall process was exhausting, uncoordinated, and frustrating. I would strongly urge Deskelly to improve their communication, scheduling, and accountability so that future customers don't go through what I did. I left this experience frustrated and disappointed, and I genuinely cannot recommend them.
