Visiting this Rolex store was really depressing. Even though the salesman was much poorer than me, he acted really rich. Didn't offer any positive insights about obtaining a Rolex from them. Salesman even downplayed registering for a new model. Nobody offered to put a watch on my wrist to see how it looked. Not even a bottle of water was offered. Review of Mayors Stores I had a very disappointing experience at Mayors stores. The staff treated me as if I were insignificant -- with an air of arrogance that made me feel unwelcome. These are employees earning salaries, yet they seem to forget the importance of treating customers with respect. In several locations I visited, the display cases were full of merchandise, but I was told repeatedly that the items were "for exhibition only." It felt misleading and dismissive. Because of this, I won't be returning to any Mayors store. In contrast, the gray market and independent jewelers offer much better customer service and actually care about their reputation and their clients. I purchased two high-end watches from Mayors and I could not be happier with their service. I had previously purchased a Rolex from their store in Fort Lauderdale about 4 years ago, but that location is no longer convenient for me, nor does it carry as many brands as the Dadeland location. I contacted Mayors in Dadeland via their website in order to set an appointment, noting that I was looking to to speak with a sales professional who was very knowledgable about the brands and models they sell (there have been too many times in the past that I have spontaneously gone into a dealer and encountered a salesperson who didn't have the depth of knowledge that I would expect). Within a day, Jesse, the store manager, reached out to me via phone and email, saying that he would be happy to set up an appointment with me. I stopped by a couple of days later and spent some time with Jesse, who was extremely knowledgable, friendly and easy to deal with. He didn't know if I was actually going to buy anything, but he was still very attentive and not pushy in the slightest bit. In the end, I bought two new pieces from him, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I'd say he spent 90 minutes with me altogether, which I greatly appreciated. I look forward to doing business with him in the future. If you are a watch buff, this is a great store - probably one of the best in South Florida. The selection of brands and models if broad and they stock very desirable models. I should also note that Mayors has been very helpful to me over the years. I've used them for a watch appraisal, and also needed some documents for insurance purposes. It was an amazing experience dealing with GEORGE VALVIS.. We exchanged emails a few weeks back. My plan was to make an appointment. Like everybody, it fell through the cracks. However, I was in the Dadeland area, so I passed by the Rolex store. He greeted me with open arms and answered all of my questions. He insisted on showing me numerous models. He gave me a great idea. To take a picture with them on, so I can look at them when I get home and see the best Hopefully one styles and fit . Needless to say, we picked out three models and we put them on the registry. I just want to say that Mayors in Dadeland Mall has been staple there since I was a kid. recently, I was finally fortunate enough to get the call for a watch on my wish list. My sales associate Manuel Garcia was extremely kind, professional, and courteous. I will start saying with no doubt, employees at McDonald's are better trained and will deliver a way better costumer experience than these HORRIBLE people. I just went to dadeland store to pick up an order I placed trough their website. As soon as I walked in I realized nobody was willing to take care of a costumer, so I approached to a couple of employees (and old lady and a young man who apparently were doing nothing too special) to let them know I was there to pick up an order ($3.000 watch). Their reaction was nothing but unpleasant, like they were bothered by a stranger who was interrupting whatever they were doing. The old lady gave me a look that made me feel really uncomfortable, and she said in a terrible and despicable manner "I am with another customer". So they made me wait until the young man decided to take care of me. This guy showed nothing but laziness all the time, like he was forced to take care of me and my order. Once I got the watch they didn't even give it to me with the time set, that courtesy would be too much for $3.000!!!! Believe me, at that point I just wanted to leave and share my experience with everybody. Of course I will never recommend to anybody buying from this store, try with another jewelry store or from the brands directly. I bought my first Rolex here many years ago when I was still in High school . We always shopped for jewelry here since they did have super attractive inventory and everything was beautifully displayed however I've come to realize we were truly duped for $$$$ . One of the sapphire rings we bought was later appraised at 1/5 what was paid. Apparently the sapphire has been color treated and this wasn't disclosed. Other items were ridiculously marked up but all jewelers have this practice. Passing by this particular location reminded me how many people including friends and neighbors were RIPPED OFF by this establishment! Granted buying luxury items is really discretionary and maybe a bit superfluous but that was the south FL lifestyle in the 70's 80's and even now. I suggest you shop around and now we consumers have the internet as an alternative we can technically level the playing field " so to speak". Don't get ripped shop elsewhere. Beware of Mayor's at the Dadeland Mall. They are misleading and try to be manipulative. I gave them my Rolex to get serviced and two employees told me all Rolex service only goes to the Rolex Service Center in NY. My watch was returned to me looking like new but not with the 2 year warranty. I called Rolex in NY who records the S/N of every watch they work on and was informed they didn't service my watch but that Mayor's was certified and they would stand behind their work if there was a problem. They also warned me I needed to produce the warranty if I wanted them to honor the work. When confronted the repair manager confessed the watch was sent to the Mayor's Service center and not Rolex in NY as I was told. I also had to force the matter to get a written Mayor's warranty, which was produced. The work is supposedly of the same quality but if it is why be misleading especially when charging the same amount??? A trusted jeweler or any advisor for a layman should be completely honest and not misleading for their own advantage. I went to Mayor's because they are a certified Rolex dealer with a good reputation. After this experience I will never trust them again even if the work looks good. read more

I called into Mayors to see if the had a bezel insert for my Rolex and Mabel was eager to help. She and her watchmaker verified the bezel insert was in stock so I knew I wasn't wasting my time driving 45 minutes south I traffic to get there. This Mayors has a Rolex authorized watchmaker on site and I think the Mayors in Aventura does as well so having minor service work done on site is a huge plus. They're in the middle of remodeling but it looks like they are definitely centering their attention on watches and pulling back from jewelry a bit. Smart move. They are also building a Rolex boutique next door and considering they're current inventory is jaw dropping I would expect the new boutique to have more Rolex watches than anywhere else outside of New York. Unfortunately the disposition of some of the sales staff could use some polish. A gentleman with a car sales man kind of vibe helped me out when I arrived since Mabel was out to lunch. I had brought another one of my Rolex watches in addition to the one I called in about to have the bezel insert changed to a different color but wanting to keep my original one. The salesman informed me that it was against Rolex "Law" to have parts "floating around". I didn't argue this "law" and promptly slipped the watching my wrist. The fact that I was so accepting of this "law" that must be abided seemed to perturb him. He proceeded to interrogate me about where else I was taking my watches asking " who does that" multiple times in succession. Apparently he fancied himself to be a special investigator into crimes against Rolex "law". Basically he came off as abrasive and an ass and left a bad taste I my mouth. I'm sure he's a great salesman and pumps out watches as fast as his customers can fill out the credit applications for low, easy monthly payments to match their leased luxury cars and lennar cookie-cutter-homes, but he left such a bad taste in my mouth referring to Rolex service policies as "Law" and the interrogation that followed that I don't feel like wearing either of my watches and am kind if disgusted by them so I'm going to give my seiko some wrist time for a while. Perhaps Rolex should step in with some training for the sales staff if they're going to be running a Rolex Boutique. Otherwise everything else was OK and they had my bezel insert on the watch I did leave with them was ready in less than an hour. read more

I have been to the Mayors in Dadeland twice once to upgrade my wife's diamond I must say I got the best deal out of anywhere I have been Lorrie helped me and I could not have been happier! 2nd time my wife purchased her Rolex here and Vivian helped she was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I visited the store to leave my watch for service. The people there were super helpful, kind, polite and knowledgeable. They offered me water or coffee while they wrote up the paperwork for my watch. The store is stunning, simply beautiful. The quality of the watches and jewelry they sell is very high, they don't sell low end. The prices are on the high side, that's for sure, the the quality is too. I will update this post once I get my watch back from service, but I have a very high degree of confidence it will be great since I had another watch reconditioned there years back. Let me just start by saying don't go to this place if you were thinking about spending a lot of money on a watch such as a Rolex like myself let's start from when I first walked in the store and mind you this was my first Rolex I was purchasing when I walked in the store I was helped by a lady called Maritza im Pretty sure that's how you spell it so since it was my first Rolex I had no Nice watch on or jewelry where she would actually think i would buy some, technically Thinking i was window shopping. I was 22-year-old kid and when I tell you she belittled me did not want to tell me about the Watches Or anything I actually left the store because of how bad she was treating me I had to come back specifically tell her I would like to order up watch because she did not answer once meanwhile my dad tried to order a Daytona but since he applied for credit online and then we went in store the next day supposedly they couldn't pull his credit but didn't mind to order him the watch, anyways so 4 weeks goes by I get a call that both our watches are in but Maritza says she still hasn't been able to pull my dad's credit, how stupid when he is trying to buy a $20,000, should prolly figure out that credit issue if someone applies online and then goes in store. now the night before I left to go get my watch from New York to Miami I flew I talked to my sales person on the phone and I told her I would be using my credit card and she told me that was fine when I get to the store and try to run my card she failed to inform me that it needed to be a debit card she then called over the manager and I wish I knew his name and the manager tried to run it and it got declined so he was then informing me that it was my fault and that I didn't have the funds after of a couple times of him telling me that I didn't have the funds I had to Specifically ask him to stop telling me I did not have the money or I was going to block out because I felt disrespected and he did not listen and kept saying it was my card and money I had to go and be on the phone with my bank for over an hour switching my card from credit to a debit.Finally I go back in store with card switched and it goes through,no sorry from my sales woman or the manager I proceed to tell them that I could get better service at McDonald's while spending 20 bucks instead of spending $10,000 with that since I left the store I have gotten no call from them asking how the Watche is, No email of how my experience was because they knew I would write bad reviews I'm sorry this is so long but if you were going to spend $10,000 on a watch please go elsewhere read more

i went to buy my first rolex to mayors store in Aventura, it was the worst experience, my wife was going to use her credit and her credit is excellent but mayors personal run her credit and confuse her with somebody else, so they denied the credit and we walk away the store, then after 5 minutes and jumping in the car at the parking lot we receive a call from the mayors personal asking for an apology and we got the credit, i got the date just and i decided to go next day to the store to exchange it for the yacht master but my wife wasn't with me and mayors rep told me that she needs to be present so i told the lady to have the papers ready when i get back so its sign and done, we came back and nothing was done and we waited for 2 hours until finally the gave me the exchange for the yacht master, well thats not all the yacht master had 3 mayors scratches on the vessel or the crown, I'm not going to pay $120000 dollars for a new watch that it is already scratch, so the lady that was helping me decided to tell me that is only a hair line and thats not a problem she will exchange it for a new one but i will have to come back next day and wow again i have to came back and so far this is not been a good experience, buying a rolex should be a happy moment and the reps from mayors should treat customers with much more customer satisfaction guide lines, but no i had to came back and i did, the same lady who help me the day before call me and i went to the store to ice up my yacht master, when i arrive, the lady show me the new rolex with no scratches this time and then i decide to ask her for the watch, first thing i ask was is this watch the latest edition and the first answer she gave me was YOU DONT HAVE TO BUY THIS WATCH! so what type of reaction should i give to this lady after that sentence, well i gave her what the situation deserve and that is TAKE YOUR WATCH BACK!! AND REFUND MY MONEY!! This store is HORRIBLE. Staff is so rude. They are a bunch of crooks. These people repaired a Tag watch two times at a very high price. On the third repair they tried to give back a counterfeit watch. They had removed all of the engraving on the back plate of the watch and the serial number. They refuse to admit that they have an employee who is a thief. I can only assume that they must do other fraud activities like this to customers. I would never bring a watch or piece of jewelry to them to clean or repair. I wouldn't be surprised if they diamond swap and replace good diamonds with inferior ones when customers bring their jewelry in for repair. Be careful with your valuables! read more
