Was going to do an out of state vehicle purchase at a local dealer and asked Maynard's to do the pre purchase inspection since it was close by. This vehicle was at a reputable dealer, had a clean title, and a great CarFax report, but since I was out of state, a PPI was mandatory for me. So glad I did as I saved so much future heartache and money if I would've purchased the vehicle. Alex and Chuck were incredibly helpful during the process. They provided their unfiltered opinions and definitely had their best interests for me. They didn't even charge me the full hourly rate as they finished well before then. I HIGHLY recommend this dealership for pre purchase inspections if you're local or out of state and I would use them again if there's an attractive listing in the area. Awesome shop. Thank you guys so much! read more

Looking at the bill, inspection fee 85$, (many ppl do for free), plus 170$ to inspect and diagnose? And in the end added 50$ fee for who knows what...just says total fee below the total jobs. Would be nice to be told inspection would cost something. I am totally okay with paying fair price, but since no contract was shown or emailed...beware if you plan to use. Before any work is done, make sure they give you something written down...or you end up with over 200$ extra on your bill. And to top it off, after checking out another problem, 170$ unexpected. They needed to do further testing with unknown pricing before they can fix the problem. Took it over to Rob's automotive down the street. They tested and told me what needed fixing....for free after leaving it over for the day. Rob's automotive wants to keep their customers. Go there! read more

Always reliable every time the boys look at one of my cars, I get an honest answer whether I like to hear it or not they do a great job

I'd used Maynard's for years, but my last two experiences have been very poor. Not sure if it's mechanic specific, but I feel I have been cheated and overcharged. I ask for specific service and was changed for something different. Left this shop with an empty wallet with no solution. Too bad, because they are skilled mechanics. read more

Friendly & quick. Now have a reliable shop to depend on! 1st time in 15 yrs. My neighbor has several cars (big family w/ @ least 6 cars/trucks). He works on most himself. I had a list of issues w/ truck & asked who he goes to when can't/doesn't do it himself. 1st & only suggestion = Maynard's. I called set an appointment, brought it in. I had decided to wait instead on dropping it off. They squeezed me in to the top of the list. Took 1/2 the time quoted! Constant updates as I waited. Cost me 1/3 of what I expected. Maynard himself is a working owner/manager. There doing the work w/ his team. That show love & dedication to the work & business. A+ read more

This guy is a scam I never felt the need to write a review before but this guy is ridiculous Quoted me over $7000 in repairs that the car did not need, went in for simple repairs and maintenance and he was trying to tell me my cars engine was shot, went to Tim's automotive down the street they did everything THAT THE CAR NEEDED for $1500 bucks Checked out all the so-called problems this joker " diagnosed " gave everything A clean bill of health and was on my way, I can't even imagine how many people this guy ripped off what a joke read more

It's tough out there....for repairs! I am more than happy to write this and say I have found my car repair place for life. They have 2 additional mechanics in addition to Maynard, and i trust them all. This place came highly recommended by a friend's Dad. As is always the case, a review is based on your own experience, and I was more than satisfied. I had some serious issues with sensors going out, and not sure what to do. I have a Ford Taurus SHO and it is very tricky to do work on because of the engine. I was prepared to lose my car, but Maynard came through. I had to be hospitalized for a few months after dropping off my car. Maynard kept my car the whole time and kept working on the issues until they were resolved. Most places would have charged thousands for so much labor. My bill was more than fair considering. I highly recommend this place. It's very difficult to find a repair service worthy of 5 stars, let alone a reputation that deserves it. Maynard and his mechanics are the most straight up, honest, and affordable I've had the pleasure to leave my car with. I will be a long time customer. read more

Yeh, Maynards, Umh. consider if you can go elsewhere first. Maynards has a busy location of many repeat and referral customers; But on my vehicle repair situation, he broke at least 6 of my/10 Cardinal auto repair guidelines (especially ones on communication about the situation), and now my vehicle is still not repaired properly , i've spent all that $ that could have been used to effectively get the car, going again. I 've heard stories about what he does, quoting in a customer; like looking at a reasonable price and then charging higher, albeit one Positive note is that he may be good at the General stuff, in a portion of the way most/part of the business is just regular Auto repair, but they may lack some of the exact Technological experience / equipment to fully and properly diagnose a vehicles, symptoms; LOL. but GOOD LUCK MAYNARD. read more

As most folks are well aware, finding an honest, proficient auto mechanic can be a frustrating, discouraging crap shoot. I was recently told by a former mechanic that my car needed thousands of dollars worth of repairs. Since the value of my car was less than the needed repairs I surrendered to the fact that investing in a new car was the best solution. After hearing positive news about Maynard's, I brought my car in in a last ditch attempt at at least fixing my car well enough to lumber along until I found a new one. They found a loose injector connection and 2 bad U-joints...and quickly fixed them both! A few hundred dollars vs. thousands! My car hasn't run this well in a long time. Thank you, Maynard's, for your integrity, honesty and quality! You have my confidence now and any time down the road that I need your expertise! read more

Started taking my car to them when I was 16 and didn't have a lot of money. They have always been super honest and reasonably priced. I haven't taken my car to be worked on anywhere else since! They communicate very clearly what is wrong and what it will take to get it fixed and they fix it in a very timely manner! Would highly recommend Maynards to friends and family! read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TAKE YOUR VEHICLES HERE! We are here from out of town for our daughters basketball tourney and had a part break on our suspension. We bought the part from a store down the road thinking we would fix it. To save us the headache and time I looked for a local mechanic and noticed other peoples reviews of Maynards shop and they did not lie! He was super fast, friendly, knowledgable, and the best service we've had. Took care of us right away even though he was off today. Our family cant thank you enough. read more
