Even if took 10 board feet (1 board foot = 144 cubic inches) to construct a door, at $10 /board foot that's $100 f I r the lumber. Doors starting at around $3000 is just sn astounding amount for the labor, ie assembly, milling, painting. Had seen one of their doors in the neighborhood and I stopped to inquire. Elderly woman told me she paid $9500 for 2 doors. Presumably that was including installation but possibly not.

A quick shout out to the team at New England Home and Glass Inc. (NEHG) for being one of the only…read morecompanies in this part of the country apparently that is willing - and more importantly - still able to repair legacy Pella on-frame clip in storm windows correctly. We cracked one such large 36" x 40" unit and neither the OEM dealer network or factory was able to assist us, referring us to local glass companies, several of whom either tried and failed or passed on taking on the project as too difficult. While the 3M plastic sheeting we installed while trying to fix this did work, it looked exactly like it sounds and was not going to be a good long term solution. Enter NEHG who not only accepted the assignment, came back to ensure it was the exact fit (saving us many thousands of dollars in replacement costs for the incumbent) and did so at an extremely cost effective price. Service and support is as equally strong as the final product they reinstalled and they are now in queue for us to do a bathroom mirror replacement project as a result of our confidence in their skills and fair trade approach. Give them your business with confidence and while I hope my review does not create a perfect storm of legacy Pella window owners who might have been looking at their cracked or broken windows and had given up and now will line up for the work, at least know if our project is any such evidence, you are in the best of care having their help.

They obviously didnt measure wall depth which is something a door installer should always do. Now the door is worse then the one they replaced. Now they dont even want to stand by thier work. everyone who install doors knows its just not measuring door entry you have to account for all obstacles and st least tell the customer before u accept work. not just accept to get work and not do the work correctly. i called and they said the owner did the measure.
