Even if took 10 board feet (1 board foot = 144 cubic inches) to construct a door, at $10 /board foot that's $100 f I r the lumber. Doors starting at around $3000 is just sn astounding amount for the labor, ie assembly, milling, painting. Had seen one of their doors in the neighborhood and I stopped to inquire. Elderly woman told me she paid $9500 for 2 doors. Presumably that was including installation but possibly not.​

I had 3 different quotes from various companies for the installation. My wife and I chose to hire Falmouth Glass & Mirror for a number of reasons. After experiencing different sales persons from the first visits, the way they measure and justifying the cost, their treatment of the customer, our decision came naturally. Everything the sales persons did and not did, said and not said, somehow played roles in making the decision. Hard guess work it was, but we are very glad that we decided to work with this company and Joe, the sales person and the installation team. Joe was a very easy going and happy person at his visits, and professional throughout from estimation and proposals to after-services. Price was competitive against other companies. The installing crew of two gentlemen were polite and precise. Five days after installation, we had a minor leak of water along the corner of the marble threshold, an obvious faulty work of the tile installer not the door installer. When I emailed Joe about the problem, after the business hour, he almost immediately replied to set the date for examination. The next day, the same two crew members came and attached a round shaped metal peace along the threshold to prevent water flowing out. Aesthetically well done and functional. They solved the problem. At no charge. Very pleasantly. They made my wife's birthday a very happy one. I highly recommend the work of the Falmouth Glass & Mirror and its employees.

Went to showroom and picked a door and options and thet came out to measure opening promptly. Personnel were polite and straightforward. I had a couple of other glass installers come out and give estimates but i didnt get a warm-fuzzy on the install process. I was concerned about possible penetration of the waterproof membrane curbing for the shower and Falmouth Glass gave me most thorough explanation of the process and assuring me the curbing waterproofing would not be compromised. The install went smoothly except i noticed the door hinge was slightly crooked. I called and a couple of (polite) guys returned promptly and straightened the hinge. Door looks great and operates smoothly.

They were extremely timely, completing previous countertop removal, and measurements exactly as planned, AND VERY timely.... So our lives where disrupted very briefly. 3. Fabrication and installation was quick! 4. Here's the best part.... The counters are beautiful and fit to perfection. The way the seams were done is brilliant! In fact, you would have to study the countertop to even find the seams. In addition , they actually fabricated the back splashes to line up with the veins in the countertop. 5. Both men who removed, measured and installed were friendly, and clearly dedicated to fine craftsmanship. 6. The total cost was fair, and actually came in BELOW the original estimate. 7. I asked if they could give me a 2'x2' piece of quartz for a small rolling island I am building, and they did so free of charge. Basically, I think we found the perfect place to go for our countertops! Highly recommend!!! As a follow up, it even gets better. When our stove was delivered we discovered that it was not a standard size slide in, so the space had to be enlarged. We were a bit panicked, but Cape Granite Connection assured us all would be well. Pella Windows gave me an estimate a few years ago that was 6.2 times more expensive. Pella wanted to replace the entire unit which includes another push-out window. Pella claimed that my window unit was no longer in production, therefore, it must be replaced with a different style unit. Call L&M Glass. They are honest, friendly, and reasonable.
