They work together as a team, which is something you don't see very often. I have been going there for quite a while, and everyone there, at one point or another, has gone above and beyond to help me. Vicky, Dr. Goldman's assistant, is marvelous. She is always so pleasant and personable. Recently, I discovered that it was she who took it upon herself to write what must have been a master crafted PA in order to obtain Lidoderm Patches for me. I have been trying to obtain them via insurance for over a year. Three doctors have tried, as well. These patches are the one thing that cures my pain. I had resorted to buying them from Canada for close to $200. One day, I got a letter in the mail stating my appeal had been approved. Now, a month's supply is under $5. Dr. Goldman is a stellar doctor, who takes time to listen and offer knowledgeable, compassionate feedback. I've never felt rushed out his office. He's sincerely concerned and has been there for me during recent health crises, which I will never forget. He's also funny, witty and sharp. His calming demeanor has made me feel at ease. I don't normally call health providers, but have called Dr. Goldman. I feel comfortable with him, and know he's not going to balk at my concern(s). He really wants to help, and it shows. Excellent staff; I just can't say enough good things about you. Thanks!

Dr Goldman is patient, curtious and knowledgable. I never feel like they are rushing through my apts (I've also seen one of the PAs here). Been here for both annual exams and sick visits and have been happy with the outcome The office runs pretty much on time. The front desk is nice. On site phlebotomy a plus. Exam rooms are either freezing or over-heated. Way to go NWPC!

I don't think he was listening because when he was talking to the manager, IN THE HALLWAY for everyone to hear, he says oh, and now she's leaving. I get chased down the hallway. Do not get mad at me because the doctor told me something yesterday and I'm following her instructions. I should have listened to Dr Perna the first time I met her when she was more than an hour late for our first appointment so I left and about 50 minutes late for our second first appointment. She was upset I was upset. And she said I should find another doctor because she will continue to be at least an hour late but insisted I be on time. Passive aggressive poorly run practice. Run away.

Five Yelp Stars for the Foot and Ankle Service at Massachusetts General West, Massachusetts General…read moreHospital, Dr. John Kwon, and his physician assistant, Patrick Maguire. Dr. John Kwon, MD (MD!, not DPM), is an expert, Fellowship trained Foot and Ankle orthopedic surgeon, who exudes expert, state of the art, compassionate care. Dr. Kwon surgically repaired a complex foot condition of mine, and, here I am, six months post-op, and I so regret not having my foot condition repaired, years prior, by Dr. Kwon. I am grateful to an MGH orthopedic surgeon for referring me to Dr. Kwon. Dr. Kwon's Care Team includes a Physician Assistant by the name of Patrick Maguire, who is a superb clinician, as well. Dr. Kwon and Patrick Maguire function as a very cohesive team, and collaborate closely. On the day of my surgery, Dr. Kwon updated Patrick Maguire about what he discovered of my condition, in the operating room, while Patrick was seeing patients in the Foot and Ankle clinic. I saw Patrick several hours, later, as we were leaving Day Surgery, and Patrick had already heard about my surgery from Dr. Kwon, even though Dr. Kwon, and Patrick, were in two different places. Dr. Kwon's support team, in the office, two, very caring ladies, are superb; they are as caring, as they are professional, and efficient. I am confident that I could not have found a better foot and ankle orthopedic surgeon, than Dr. Kwon, and Dr. Kwon's team, and the Day Surgery Team (including nursing and anesthesia) are absolutely superb.

If I have an urgent issue, Lena at scheduling has been phenomenal at getting back to me with a cancellation spot. Without an urgent matter, it's usually a 2 to 3 week wait depending on location. Dr. Dawn Baird is who my daughter and now I, typically see. She is extremely thorough and is excellent at avoiding pain. I do not know how she does it but the couple Novocain injections she administered was 100% pain free. I did not even feel a pinch. I forget her assistant's name, but the two of them work great as a team. Dr. Baird is not your typical dermatologist. She takes pictures of everything and dictates extremely thorough notes, to the point where I have no idea what she's talking about, not that it matters because she simplifies it afterwards. I went in for a very awkward procedure, that she turned simple and easy .... as if it was nothing. And let me tell you, it definitely was something. A little advice... Don't bother with compound W - all it did was make a mess. Great patient bedside manner and a very soft, empathetic touch. If you or anyone you care about has H.S (Hidradenitis Suppurativa), this is the facility to go to. All the doctors are knowledgeable. In addition to Dr. Baird, Dr. Rowe (and a few others) treated my daughter. Knowledge, kindness and listening are the features that stand out the most. Prior to AP Derm we went to Beth Israel in Boston. We have our favorite doctors there too. But, there is no need to commute that distance when these doctors are equally talented...and give you more time. Dr. Baird actually gave us more helpful info than B.I. - we never feel rushed. That's important.

However, while going over my history and my weight gain from the past year, I felt judged by Dr. Gaines at every moment. Constant jabs about my weight and alcohol intake during the height my depressive episode due to the pandemic were made throughout the appointment. I do not drink nearly as often as I used to (about 2/3 glasses of wine on a Friday or Saturday), and was still shamed for it. Every question I had about my health would come back to my weight gain, and shamed me at every chance she could about this subject. She also claimed that I was late, even though I arrived at the appointment on time. She made references to my tardiness throughout the appointment by telling me that we couldn't get to specific subject matter because she is "on a schedule and that's how it is". On top of everything, after this appointment I was sent a bill for $428.30. I've been in contact with my insurance and they claim that it's in the physician's control. With that, I've called Wendy Gaines' office multiple times to get clarification, but their reasoning for this bill is that it's a First Time Physician's Visit and does not classify as a physical. Sure - but does that mean I should pay $428.30 for a one hour visit? Even if Wendy Gaines was a good physician, this bill would still be absolutely ridiculous for someone who has insurance. Overall, I do not recommend Dr. Wendy Gaines and recommend that she stop practicing medicine. I left the office in tears and I will never go back.
