I have been to lots of optometry places and they're are usually like a bunch of caged animals pacing because back and forth all getting anxious because there's only one Dr because the other "called in sick" everytime. I walked into Meyer ey care and was shocked, there was nobody waiting! They took me back did all the routine stuff and I picked my frames, paid them and left. In and out 25 minutes tops what a unique concept, treat the patient right, dont make them feel pressured and dont overbook. Wow I love this place it's welcoming and terrific staff. Will be back I doubt any other company could beat them. Try them you won't regret anything except why didn't you come here sooner. read more

Dr. Mayer is amazing and took such great care of me. His office staff was so nice and efficient. Dr. Mayer took his time and really worked with me to get my prescription perfect and super sharp. Thank you thank you and thank you. Highly recommend them. read more

The doctor and staff were all polite and professional. Office was clean. The appointment was on time.

New to the area and hadn't had an eye exam in years. Was excited to try out Mayer eye care because of all the positive reviews. I actually saw Dr. Mayer and he was very kind and professional. All of the girls in the office were also warm and welcoming with bug smiles! Highly recommend. read more

This place is an absolute nightmare. Don't even bother calling or stepping foot in here unless you enjoy wasting your time. The front desk staff is downright unfriendly, lazy, and slow with everything they do. Every interaction felt like pulling teeth -- no urgency, no care, just a complete lack of professionalism. I ended up so fed up with their lack of effort that I went to another eye doctor, and thank God I did! This place is a complete joke. They don't care about their patients, and the way they handle business is just plain annoying and disrespectful. If you want proper eye care and customer service, save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else. Mayer Eye Care is a complete waste of time, and you'll regret even trying to deal with them. Don't waste your time, your money, or your patience on this unprofessional mess of an office! read more

Best optometrist around! I've been coming to him for 14 years- my whole family is loyal to him. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Dr. Mayer is one of a kind and as long as he's in business he's got me as a client! read more

Called to get appointment for STAT referral and they don't have an opening until the end of June

I wish that I could give you a full review of this business. Unfortunately, I never got past their receptionist. Lazy, rude and unprofessional would be the three words I would use to describe her. And based on the reaction of the nurses that were standing around her, she was not doing anything out of the ordinary because they were SHOCKED that I called out their receptionist. Let's start off with the greeting. She didn't smile, she didn't welcome me. She essentially said, what do you want. In a rude and short manor. After telling her that I had an appointment she couldn't even look up my name. When I handed her my insurance she then starts asking me questions about my insurance to which I quickly snap back at her, you're the professional, you tell me! Honestly folks. Put in a computer where you can check in yourself instead of paying this woman. A computer is more helpful and personal than this woman who CLEARLY hates her job and anyone that comes in it! I eventually just snapped my insurance cards out of her hand and walked out. As I said, I never made it to the doctor. No one deserves to be treated like this and needless to say, I'm NEVER stepping foot in your business again! Isn't it amazing how one person can destroy your business? But this seems to be the pattern in Las Vegas. You all need to learn some manors, some politeness and some customer service! I'm doing YOU the favor, not the other way around. read more

I really like the doctor! He's very knowledgeable and patient. The office extremely professional. All around satisfaction.

Our daughter recommended Dr. Mayer to us. I was in back in the earlier part of the year. Tyler helped me with adjusting glasses I previously purchased somewhere else. Since then, they haven't been digging into my nose like they did previously. Very helpful, although the lady that handled our payment was a little short and not very friendly like the other members of the staff. Will be back. I appreciate independent businesses. My husband was much happier than another place he had gone to previously. Dr. Mayer took time and answered all my questions. Extremely pleased. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Mayer as my regular optometrist since 2012. Dr. Mayer and his staff are the best. Always friendly and helpful. I never have had to wait more than a couple mins before I am taken to my appointment. I've visited other eye doctors (when I was uninsured) thinking I would save $$ but in the end, I always end up returning to Mayer Eye Care to see Dr. Mayer. read more

I've been going there for over 10 years. Best doctor of ever seen always takes care of me and always is exact and all the prescription. Excellent service and will always recommend this place. They have a great selection of frames they do everything you need. Complete eyecare. read more

My youngest daughter had an appointment with Dr. Mike Mayer and it was her strong recommendation that caused me to select him as my eye doctor for an eye exam. I am 71 years old and have visited a lot of doctor's offices in my life. Some good and some bad. Very few, however, have been such a pleasure to visit as Mayer Eye Care. Starting with a very friendly greeting immediately upon entering the office, followed by several eye tests with a very friendly and outgoing young lady named Marina and ending with a thorough exam with understandable explanations from Dr. Mayer I could not ask for a better experience. I felt like I was provided with the Red Carpet treatment from the get-go and am very, very satisfied with my entire visit. If you are searching for professional treatment wrapped in outstanding customer service, this is the office to visit. I strongly recommend them. Ted Breslin read more

Great and amazing staff and the Doctor himself. Coming back for my appointment today is like visiting a relative's house. Christina and Rossie have been very welcoming and kind. They followed social distancing protocol as well as important PPE mandate. We called the office as soon as we arrived and for the safety of our health, we were advised to stay in our vehicle and also due to us arriving 30 minutes early fir our appointment time. Christina was very kind and professional when she advised us to stay in our vehicle until very close to our reservation time. Dr. Mayer is very attentive and caring. When I sit down with him for my appointments, today and in the past, he listens to my concerns and together, he and I figure out how we can fix my concerns until we derive to a solution. And through it all, Dr. Mayer maintains his patience and gives his full attention no matter how many times he tries to fix my concerns. I am a happy patient and do not have any issues to keep returning for my optical care. I well recommend his care and the care of his staff. Great team! read more

One and only time stopping by, was in the area and wanted to see how much they charge for a eye exam for contacts with astigmatism. The price was the highest I've ever been quoted, $180. read more

Mayer Eye Care - Optometrists Near Me - Henderson, Nevada

They are amazing. Very thorough. Dr. Mayer knew exactly what I was experiencing before I even told him just from the exam. They fit me for glasses and I was nervous because I'm awful at that. They helped pick some out for me and sat with me to try them on and was very honest (and not rude or mean when some didn't look right.). I can't say enough good things about them. read more

Love Dr. Mayer! He's so awesome! I recommend anyone I know with glasses to come here!

I'm a huge reviewer at trip advisor but I really wanted to review this Eye Care. Easy to find nice location, first walked in clean well maintained office. Upon approaching the front desk, there were 2 female employees the one with long hair almost left me speechless because the way she posed a question as to my business there felt like I was an unwelcomed guest to someone's house. I was so confused I decided to ignore her and look at the other lady sitting down with I believe had tied hair & she was definitely more welcoming and helpful. The wait wasn't bad and then I was called in and met I believe Dr Mayer, I can see why there were good reviews for this business exactly why I chose this as well. He was very professional, friendly, and had a wealth of information. I was not at all nervous to ask any and all types of questions to understand my eye sight. My son has autism and was having a tad of an off day so he was talking more than usual and moving around. He even dropped a poster that I am usually on it not to happen but I was stuck on the chair with the machine. I will def say FAMILY FRIENDLY because he did not drop a hat. Thank you!! Wrapped up my appointment it was awesome and going to see the frames to choose from again I had the woman who seemed she hated her job, no extra help or helpful info. This eyecare if you are looking for one is a yes! 5 star even w/ that one employee because it wld be a shame on the rest of the amazing people there. read more

I'm extremely dissapointed! I used Like this place and I had my Husband, kids, in-Laws, & friends come see dr Mayer (he's a really cool dude) but when it came to getting my husbands glasses fixed (minor fix may I add!) they refused to because we didn't purchase the glasses there!!! Although we lashed out about $379.00 JUST to get them done we were never told that we wouldn't be able to repair them there if something went wrong!!! If you're looking for a reasonable place then this is not for you! It's overpriced for glasses! (IMO) & what I didn't like the most was the receptionist on their phones!!! Yep personal phones!!! They took my previous review down because I spoke the truth but I'll keep posting them if I have too!!!!!! read more

I'm surprised there aren't many reviews of "Mayer Eye Care" - I guess because there's nothing to complain about. ;-) This husband-and-wife run business is a gem I HIGHLY recommend. My hubby was having some eye irritation so we walked in on Friday of Memorial Day weekend and I expected to hear "The Doctor isn't in". Instead we were greeted by a very sincerely friendly woman at the front desk who asked us to fill out paperwork, informed us of the reasonably priced exam fee, and was courteous enough to offer a discount since we had no insurance. Then enter the very friendly Dr. Mayer (Mr.). My husband *hates* to feel rushed and is very sensitive about his eyes and he had nothing but praises for the doc after the appointment; he was extremely thorough, very down-to-earth, and addressed all questions and concerns above and beyond his expectations. Thank you Mayer Eye Care for such a positive experience!! read more

I was on vacation with my family when our boy's glasses happen to break. I didn't have the usual eye glass tools with me to be able to fix them. I looked into our insurance and searched for a local provider when Mayer Eye Care came up as a result. I contacted them and spoke with Erica over the phone. She was pleasant and invited me to come on down so they could take a look at the issue with the glasses. When we arrived we were greeted by Kristine who took the glasses and not only repaired what what was wrong, but also tightened everything. We were in and out in no time and back to enjoying our vacation. Thank you Erica and Kristine for making this experience so easy and getting us back to our fun times! read more

My family has been coming to Dr.Mayer for years now and it has always been a positive experience. Everybody is nice and welcoming. Dr. Mayer is friendly and takes his time explaining what he's doing and why. Would definitely recommend this place to to anybody looking for a good optometrist. read more

We love Dr. Mayer!! He sees both of my sons (ages 9&10) as well as my husband. Recently my husband had an urgent issue that needed to be addressed and Dr. Mayer got him right in and got him on the road to recovery quickly. The staff was great, especially for my 9 year old who had to get fitted for his first pair of glasses. They put him at ease and he is so excited to get them next week! We live in Summerlin but will travel to Henderson to see Dr. Mayer anytime!! read more

I can't say enough good things about Mayer Eye Care. I'm very particular about my eyes and have had some issues (running with scissors when little) and I am serious about eye care so I drive over from Summerlin just to ensure that I'm getting proper care. Dr. Mayer is so professional, courteous and very thorough! I recommend to all of my friends. Kudos to the entire staff! read more

Dr. Mayer, along with his staff, were friendly and professional. Upon my arrival I was seen promptly. What more can you ask for?? Another 5 star rating for Mayer Eye Care! I was finally able to drag my teenage son in for an eye exam. As expected he needed glasses. The team here at Mayer eye care are all very friendly and professional. My son agreed that the exam was thorough and the Dr was very personable. They had a large selection of glasses and my son chose a pair of Ray Bans. It took about a week to get the glasses back and not only were the glasses a perfect fit, but the quality is bar none. Thanks again Mayer Eye Care for excellent service. read more

I wonder if this would be a four star review if my previous optometrist wasn't so horrible. They explained to me what my insurance covered and did not cover before I took the exam. My previous optometrist did not. They called me the day before to remind me of my appointment. My previous optometrist did not. They said they would call in a year to schedule my next exam (hopefully they will). My previous optometrist did not. This was my second attempt to start using contact lenses. I was very rushed at my previous optometrist and left there frustrated and still wearing glasses. The doctor here was patient while also being encouraging. My prescription hasn't changed much and I was not pressured to buy new glasses. I looked up the contact lenses online and the office's price was within 5 dollars of the online price. Really the only downside I can think of is that their hours require me to take off time from work. read more

The secretary in the front is beyond rude. I left my appointment without even going into the back. There is an eye doctor on every corner of Las Vegas, I do not recommend wasting your time with this one. Maybe if they hired better help. read more

I haven't seen an eye doctor for a very long time. Didn't need to. Last Saturday, my right eye was blurry. Thought it was just allergies. Even worse thought it was due to my diabetes. Took allergy eye drops. It didn't get better. Three days later I decided to see an eye doctor. I found Mayer Eyecare on Yelp = 5 stars! I agree, Everyone was so friendly. Dr Mayer was very informative. He said he didnt see diabetes in my eyes. He gave me eye drops. Will try that for week. Hopefully, I won't need to see him for awhile. Dr. Mayer is the best. I've been wearing glasses since 2000 and have been examined and purchased glasses in Melbourne and Perth, Singapore, New Orleans and Las Vegas. I spent 3 years at a local reputable Opthamologist who never got my prescription right. Then six years ago, I discovered the Drs. Mayers and haven't a single complaint or problem that couldn't be resolved with the utmost care and professionalism. My husband agrees, and he has been wearing glasses since early childhood. I've now taken my Mother, and he is compassionate, patient and kind with her. This office is the heart of Silverado Ranch is a gem. I hope they never leave. Kudos to the staff! read more

Dr. Mayer diagnosed me with a condition referred to as yag awhile ago. I was delinquent in going back to him for follow up because of my busy schedule. Finally went back this week and I was so happy I did. Not only was I seen promptly, but he remembered our last meeting and helped me with my current complaint. His staff, Marina and Robert are such a wonderful reflection of Dr. Mayer and this is one Drs visit I actually enjoyed. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Dr. Mayer, Marina and Robert. read more

I found Mayer Eye Care while searching the internet since I was in DESPERATE need of new glasses. I saw they had some good reviews and they accepted my insurance so I made an appointment. Right when I walked in the door I was greeted by Kristin by my first name. I was SHOCKED. In a lot of businesses today you're lucky to even get a smile when you walk in. I had filled my paperwork out online so I turned that in and she had me pick out the glasses I wanted. (Good thing since my husband went to a different eye doctor and he didn't get to pick out his glasses until AFTER the dilation which made it difficult for him to see, so getting to pick mine out before was an absolute plus) They have a really nice selection of glasses and sunglasses. Dr. Mayer came out and greeted me and began what had to be one of the most thorough eye exams I've ever had. I don't recall ever getting half the stuff done that he did. He was very friendly and explained everything to me. He wasn't pushy and I never felt like I was being rushed. I ended up getting glasses and sunglasses and they were both ready in less than a week. I've only been wearing them a couple of days but so far I am very happy with them. Kristin said if I did have any issues though that they will work with me to get them corrected. Once again, excellent customer service. I will defiantly be going back for my yearly exams. My husband is even going to switch when it comes time for his next exam. read more
