Beyond her skill and professionalism, Ashley is one of the kindest and sweetest healthcare professionals I've ever met. She has a wonderful bedside manner that instantly puts patients at ease. I've also moved a ton so have never had a chance to develop a rapport with a Doctor until now. I have been seeing Dr. Falquier for 3 years now and LOVE her. I have been (until the last 4 weeks) been a healthy young woman and only visited her on the routine occasions for the regular check ups etc. about a month ago i developed a sever back issue that is still going on. I have seen her about 4 times in the past month as she is tireless in trying to find the right resolution for my pain. She is so friendly and understanding, I know that she has my best interest at heart. I'm also very glad at how young she is as she won't be retiring anytime soon and I hope she is my doc forever. Everyone at the downtown location is very courteous and fast, and friendly. I've hit the Urgent care 3 times and always been seen very quickly. All that aside though, Dr. Falquier rocks. If you've never had a bond with your doc I seriously recommend checking her out. Good luck!!

Horrific! Save yourself the trouble and go to Scripps Mercy. The man working radiology on Aug…read more28,2006 at 4:45 pm was the most inconsiderate, uncompassionate jerk. Even before him, we were misdirected by EVERYONE from our pediatrician to the 6 different people on the phone. First we were sent from Scripps Mission Valley to 501 Washington. The flyer they gave me said Ste but no suite number. GPS led me to the garage for Village Hillcrest. The flyer from the pediatrician did not explain which elevator to take so we ended up in the deserted VH mall. A nice woman who just came off an elevator told us to go around to the separate entrance to the medical offices. We went there. NONE of the office listings by the elevator say 1. RADIOLOGY, 2. SCRIPPS . NONE OF THEM. Where were we supposed to go? There were no doors, no people, no phone numbers. So I called and called the number on our pediatrician's flyer and kept getting transferred to people who had never been in the building and read us the same instruction- go to the building with no sign for Scripps or Radiology. Then they kept transferring me to the radiology clinic and disconnecting me. 40 minutes elapsed with this circus and I finally get the man in radiology and I explain our need to get an xray. He keeps telling me he is about to close. He says we should go to Scripps Mercy even though it is 4:40 and he is open and we are a couple minutes away. You can tell he doesn't want us to come even though we are located in the parking lot directly behind his building and it would take is less than 2 minutes to get there. I explain we just need a chest x ray and that we have been trying since BEFORE 4:00 PM to find the office that is NOT labeled in the building directory by the elevators. He says it's a one room clinic and he is the only one there. Clearly he didn't want us to find him. He keeps saying he is going to close soon. He repeats again that we could go to Scripps Mercy which is across the street for the fourth time and I give up. P.S. Scripps Mercy had us in and out in less than 15 minutes with kindness, grace and courtesy. We were done even before Scripps Coastal closed. STAY AWAY FROM SCRIPPS COASTAL- as the man told me it is a "one room clinic" with only him working there. He does not want to help you or any patients.

He gets refills done quick when I need them and most of the time I don't have to go into the office to pick up my scrips. One of the few doctors that saves paper and is helpful at finding the most cost effective ways of getting me my medication. Whenever I see him he makes certain that we touched all bases and nothing else can be done with the current visit. After seeing him for nearly 6 or 7 years, I had a life changing event and he takes even more time just to listen and make sure that he is providing the best care possible and by spending the extra minute, he once again will make sure that there isn't anything more he can do to make my life better. Although he does take insurance, he doesn't rush like most doctors to the 6 patients an hour that is required for most doctors accepting insurance. If something requires more time and attention, he will make time to help. He makes me feel comfortable about talking about even the most embarrassing issues and dealing with the situation in the most dignified manner. Finally, when he doesn't know exactly the right treatment he will refer to someone that is more knowledgeable in the field that the ailment requires. We see things the same way about drugs, meaning less is more. He doesn't have that mentality that "there isn't anything my prescription pad cannot cure". It's more of a less drugs is healthier in the long run. Plus, his signage inside every room is great. Check the pictures! So those people "shopping" for doctors this isn't your guy for getting your fix he's a doctor, not a drug pusher/dealer. All in all, I'd recommend Dr. Shamblaw as a solid base for health care for anybody. Solid GP/Family MD. Side note: sorry it took 6+ years to write my review.
