They arrived on time and we walked through the project. The estimator advised he would take some photos and have the quote available to discuss before he departed. We discussed the quote and options. It was very professional and I appreciated having the opportunity to discuss the quote. While I did not end up using Hemlock Painting for my exterior, it was a very positive experience.

Sure we could do it ourselves, but, it would look like a do it yourself job. We wanted more so after reading a number of reviews, we contacted Warline Painting. Warren came to our home and did a walk-through of all areas to be painted, made notes about a special paint for the washrooms and all that other painting stuff. We were impressed with the professionalism and he agreed to provide us with a quote. He did not provide the quote on the spot, but took about a day and gave us a firm quote that included materials and labour. We had been expecting a higher quote and we were delighted when a the quote came in for a lot less than what we had expected. (1000 - 1500 less) We said yes and the next step was to pick some paint colours. Neither one of us are great colour pickers so we requested help from Heidi, a colour consultant/decorator, who is part of the Warline package. If you hire her without the company you pay a separate fee, but if you are getting the painting done through Warline, she comes for free. She is great, very knowledgeable and confident with her talents. Within an hour we picked the colours for our home and Heidi prepared a special paint palate that had our colours in a name brand, high quality paint that would not affect our quote. She took the time to look at our layout, listened to wants (airy, bright). She pointed out the colour choices that would work with the kitchen, with our cupboards, backsplash, tiled floors and hardwood. She worked with our desire to keep everything bright and airy and within an hour we had our colours. She is a professional and I give her top marks, she really worked for us. The actual painting and finishing work went very well, this company hires people who are looking to work for a solid company and it shows. Everyone is a professional and the completed job looks great! Needless to say, we highly recommend Warline for painting and color consulting/decorating services. We survived the teen and school-age years much better than the interior of our house did. It was well overdue for a refresh 13 years after the last painting and our designer recommend Powell to tackle 2700 square feet up and down plus a 35 year-old popcorn stucco ceiling. I have to start with the ceiling (they did). It got planed and sanded, the HepaVac creating minimal dust with the crew painstakingly protecting all the floors, sealing doors and tidying up at the end of every day. Honestly such a worthwhile difference when it was done. Tanja the owner is very particular (more picky than I!) and has so much experience and good ideas, such as how to improve the worn look of our kitchen and bathroom cabinets. With a thorough knowledge of the best way to do things, best materials and best referrals (trades), she also offered great advice on colour and design. Her quote was comprehensive and accurate. Our painter (a drywall expert to boot) was easy to get along with, punctual, reliable, and so hard-working. On time and on Budget, everything was put back in order just as before. And the follow-up! Every detail attended to, they noticed little things to amend that we wouldn't have and ensured our absolute satisfaction.
