Front desk was friendly, the dental office/equipment looked modern, and the dentists were efficient. Each procedure was explained and front desk helped with scheduling and often notifying for upcoming appointments. So the reason why I stopped going... I had a filling redone due to it coming off. However, I had pain around the same tooth for months. I couldn't eat on that side at all. I went back in for checkups to see if they can figure out what's going on. The head dentist told me to consider getting a crown since there seems to be a cracking on the tooth. They offered to cover the costs however I thought it was a bit extreme to get a crown from a routine filling. Over the next couple months, I would go back multiple times since the pain didn't go away. This included shaving part of the filling, redoing the filling, and trying to figure out my bite. And the final time I went there for a checkup, I was just told it could just be a neurological thing and almost made it sound like it was my fault and they can't do anything about it. The only reason why I kept going back was to give them the opportunity to fix what they had messed up. I ended up looking for another dentist and I told them my issue. They were able to figure what was wrong, and redid my filling. Now I have no pain.

I hope my experience of when I received care from Dr. Chen, the assistants, and the front desk staff can give you a better insight on why I highly recommend any individual or parents to choose to go to the Daly orthodontist for their ortho treatment. I'm a dental assistant at a pediatric clinic and I can confidently say that the quality of care that I received was very similar to the quality of care we give to our patients in my pediatric clinic. I was first recommended to the Daly orthodontist by my coworkers because they and their children were receiving treatment from Dr. Chen. I hopped onto that train as I trusted my coworkers' opinions and was curious as to why everyone went to Dr. Chen. I soon found out why all my coworkers and their children chose to get their ortho treatment from Dr. Chen and rave about their office. In my first appointment, I received such a warm welcome from Dr. Chen, the front desk staff and the dental assistants. Dr. Chen was also very detailed and informative of my treatment in simple terms that was easy to understand, answered all my technical questions truthfully, gave me a realistic time frame of when I should be done with my braces and was receptive to any ideas I had about how my teeth should look. He is also very chill and easy to talk to and still be professional when he needs to be. The assistants were also more than friendly and accommodating to your needs from assisting you in the chair and adjusting anything in your mouth that doesn't feel comfortable to giving you extra floss threads and rubber bands. I think the best part is that the whole experience felt very personal as Dr. Chen and many of the front desk and assistants do remember me from previous visits. Dr. Chen and the staff really do their best in making sure you have everything you need to get to your end goal and making your ortho experience as easy and comfortable as possible! Even after I was finished with braces and am currently wearing my retainers, Dr. Chen was very open to helping me make any adjustments to my teeth if I saw anything I didn't like. Overall, I had a wonderful experience working with Dr. Chen, the dental assistants, and the front desk staff as you will definitely be taken care of even after you finish your ortho treatment!

There is also a staff member who touches the hardware without gloves. This incident occurred twice. I've seen all, but this one staff member, change their gloves often. When I explained the situation to the receptionist, I was offered an appointment for the following morning. I explained that my son was leaving for vacation the next day and needed to be seen that same day if possible. Unfortunately, I was told there was nothing that could be done. What was most disappointing was not the lack of availability, but the receptionist's tone and apparent lack of urgency or effort to provide any alternative solutions. Concerned about my son's discomfort, I contacted another Image Orthodontics office in Redwood City. The receptionist there was incredibly understanding and went out of her way to help, even though they do not typically see patients from other offices. Thanks to her assistance, my son was able to be seen and treated promptly. As the attached photos show, the wire had shifted significantly, which was causing the irritation and inflammation. I'm not sure how it happened, but I'm very grateful that the issue was ultimately resolved. While I appreciate the care my son has received, I hope future patients with urgent concerns are met with more empathy, urgency, and willingness to help find a solution.

UNFORTUNATLY, this never happened, whether because of staff fumbling the ball or Dr Quock not providing the information to staff. I've made repeated requests to no avail and now he's retiring and I'm told that I'm "on a list" for follow up even though there is no guarantee that the practice will even exist past this month. HORRIBLE FOLLOW THROUGH and it's a shame that this will follow Dr. Quock's good name into retirement. If this is resolved I will edit this review, otherwise it stands as a true record.

My plan broke down to $65/ month over two years and this includes free retainer after I'm out of braces. If you got vacation or big trip coming up, please let him know and he will be more than happy to adjust accordingly. I often tell him ahead of time whenever I have a trip coming up and often tell him "please don't hurt me! I'm going away and there is delicious food I am going to eat!" He's often more than happy to help me out. Plus, if you ever broke a bracket or needed adjustments in between appointments, you can simply call and he always will try to squeeze you in. But do be warn that lost bracket means additional charge so please never lost the bracket you broke! Overall, it's not a bad ortho place for the price point. Thankfully, the workers at this office are amazing! Continuously going above and beyond their job description to help out their clients and random callers (ie. me). I called one day in sheer panic due to my regular orthodontist being out of the country on vacation for over a month, which didn't include the closed office due to the company moving buildings - and was offered the sweetest help. The young lady who answered the phone, assured me that her boss couldn't definitely help with my situation. I was in sheer panic as my retainers were causing me so much discomfort, I would literally sit up in bed and cry from the pain. The worker told me that her boss could actually adjust my retainers. This was probably the biggest sigh of relief. Maybe I could finally get a good night's sleep without pain or waking up crying. However, I was a little skeptical to bring my retainers in -I had to explain how my orthodontist actually didn't give me a case for my retainer and how one of her workers casually handed me a denture case. With a little "oh no," she was so sweet, laughing and really put me at ease. She assured me that she could get me a case for my retainers that wasn't as big and bulky as a denture case. This is the kind of customer service people need! I'm not even a regular customer, but I tell everyone I know to come here!
