We got here at 5:20 pm and the doors opened at 6 pm. We were asked 2 simple questions prior to reaching the booth. When we got to the both, we were told what movies were showing and we chose Wicked: For Good. We were directed to the screen on the right side of the lot. We loved how the parking lot had individual bumps to park. This let us know that we all would be able to see with no issues. Concession stand: They have many food, snacks and drinks (alcohoic and non-alcoholic) options. We went with 2 options...a personal pan cheese and a personal pan pepperoni. We both had a slushie. Altogether, I paid about $26. The movie started and had to tune into 96.7 FM (I think) to hear the movie. All headlights were told to be turned off. The movie and sound was clear. This was a very smooth experience. We will most certainly go back.

I haven't been to the drive-in movies since I was kid, so I think I was the most excited out of the group. It was easy to connect to the radio for sound. I saw a kids' movie, so there were definitely restless kids running around their cars (safely). If you have littles but you're worried about taking them to an indoor movie theater, this is another option for watching movies without the stress!

The seating is comfortable, with a home-like feel--cozy couches that make it easy to settle in and enjoy the film. That said, there were a few drawbacks. The popcorn wasn't great, which is always a bit disappointing for a movie night. The wait staff also came across as rude, which took away from the overall vibe. Another surprise was that they only accept cash and don't offer tap-to-pay options, which feels outdated, especially for Oakland. It was interesting that the lobby was busy and lively, yet the actual screening only had about four people in it. The space clearly leans into a community-focused, multi-use model, and they host other events that could be fun depending on what you're looking for. It feels very Oakland--community-driven and a bit unconventional. Overall, it's a decent spot with potential, but not somewhere I'd rush back to just for a movie.

Movie theater management, this one included, puts as little money as possible into keeping up the close caption equipment. But this theater apparently recognized that the auditorium seats with the cup holders would not hold the closed captioning equipment they purchased. Apparently they are retrofitting this equipment with clamps. Unfortunately the clamp also doesn't work on the seats. But one of the diligent employees came into the auditorium and made sure ours was set up properly. This theater has the old fashioned stadium style seating, and it's extra uncomfortable. But all in all the movie going experience was positive at this AMC theater.

Before I left I had to ask another associate what was his name cause I didn't catch it. His name is Zee! I was among probably the first 20 people in line (I was only there to get demon slayer merch), he was patient and very helpful. He was the only one working the concession stand and he had everyone ordered, served, and ready for their movie. No one complained about the wait cause he had great customer service and had everyone's order fresh made. Apologized and warned us if there is a wait for certain food items. Give credit when it's due and give that a guy a raise lol.

I hadn't been to Brenden's in years, more than a decade for sure. But the place provided a satisfactory moviegoing experience. The parking garage in the back of the theater, off Willow Pass Road, offers free parking. The ticket kiosks apparently don't take swiped cards (only tap or insert). Because I had a gift card, I had to be helped at the guest service counter to make my purchase. Not a big deal. Staff was helpful. The lobby was colorful and modern, with two levels of auditoriums and a concessions stand at the center with long lines in the afternoon. There's another concessions stand near the rear auditoriums, which was closed this past weekend while I was there. I opted not to grab any snacks on this day, but I do like that they have self-serve butter dispensers here. There's also a Cinema Cafe attached to the theater serving even more menu items. Inside the auditorium, it was quite spacious, most of the seats toward the bottom front section set up in pairs, even private seating nooks for couples offered along one side all the way to the top. The railing did not obstruct the view of the screen. Sound and picture quality were ideal. The seats themselves were visibly worn (and some even torn). But at least they were comfy, reclining far back with leg rests stretching all the way out.

A waste container was dragged into the theater seating area during the movie in an excessively noisy manner. MELANIA was enjoyable. We always choose a movie unlikely to be crowded or frequented by ruffians.

The experience definitely did not disappoint. The theater essentially had three screens surrounding the audience: left, center, and right. However, we noticed that not all scenes actually used the full three screen setup. Only certain significant or impactful moments expanded across all three screens. That was a bit disappointing because we had hoped the format would be used throughout the entire movie. Overall, it was still a really cool experience. The tickets were pretty expensive, around $20 each. I also did not love the seating layout. The screens could get partially blocked when people in the rows in front of us stood up. I have been to plenty of other theaters where the rows are spaced better so that people in front do not affect your view at all. Another downside was the parking. The lot at the Veranda shopping center was really difficult to navigate and finding a spot was a pain. Still, despite those issues, it was a fun and unique experience. That said, I do not think it is something I would need to do for every movie.
