Apart from the drive here, everything is just a breeze. The view is magnificent. You'll be seeing a carpet of clouds covering the city and the mountain ranges too. You need to see it for yourself. We also ate dinner here and it was amazing. Their food wasn't too expensive but it was really food. The non magic sarap kind of tasty was there. They also have small rooms but we stayed in their transient house that was good for about 10-15 people. There were only six of us but the rent was still really cheap. Php 5,000.00 a night, complete with a kitchen, fridge, clean bathrooms, comfy beds, a nice view from the terrace, and a wonderful fire place. Like wow, i just wanted to hug the owner for making this place awesome for everyone. Great view, good food, and cozy accommodations.

If you're planning to visit here, you need to contact them, they have phone numbers available on their facebook profile. They will advise you to go up around 5 or 6am before the DENR people will be at the checkpoint. Again, coordinate with them before planning to go to the top, I have seen a lot of people complain about not getting through the checkpoint.

It is an iconic café, restaurant and bakery in Baguio that's long been beloved by both locals and visitors. The ambience has a rustic, artsy vibe and has played an important role in the city's cultural and culinary scene. It's called Café by the Ruins quite literally because it was built beside, and partly within, the ruins of a war-damaged building in downtown Baguio. After World War II, much of Baguio was destroyed during the battle to retake the city. This is why the café became a natural home for artists, writers, activists and thinkers, the space itself tells a story of survival and reinvention.

I thought that I wrote a review for this place years ago. I have been going here for about 30…read moreyears. It is an amazing restaurant with a historical location. All this time I thought the restaurant was located on Chuntug. During my younger days, Baguio was known for the clubs and casinos at a couple of the hotels. Things changed after a major earthquake, and I guess the name of the street for the Cafe By The Ruins also changed to Shuntug. I love all the architectural changes that the restaurant has made after the horrible fire they had. Of course the restaurant would have a wonderful ambiance, since the co-founders were artists and creative minded individuals. This is a location where memories are created with an unforgettable dining experience. They proudly served farm-to-table food before the social movement of using local ingredients in food preparation. In fact, the menu changes due to the seasonal fruits and vegetables. I encourage you to ask your server for their recommendations. They will know what's currently popular, and it is a great way to discover new items you might not have considered otherwise. I say that only because I would not have tried the duck pinikpikan, since I remembered how chicken pinikpikan was made. I'm glad we ordered it, because it was the perfect match with the rice that was served with it. The black ink pasta with fish rose cream sauce and crispy tapa are dishes that I'll be ordering again. I also asked what the server recommended for a dessert, and I'm hoping that they'll always have the strawberry pavlova on their menu. I also enjoyed Christine's Crepe. The Ice Ruins Coffee was a wonderful beverage with my desserts. This is a restaurant that I always go to whenever I go to Baguio.

The restaurant is huge, great for groups and more native style than modern. Place is clean. I saw a ratatouille mouse again going outside from inside but it's an outdoor restaurant so what do you expect?! Should I be worried? We were the first to eat there for lunch as we got there once it opened. We were well attended. This is what we ordered: Complimentary- Lomi soup that is like a hot and sour soup without the sour or hot! Just looks like it. It lacked a little salt. Pakbet - pretty good Kare kare - lacked peanut butter so it was less salty. Lechon kawali - very good Liang - it lacked taro leaves and had more huge slices of ginger instead. I actually thought the ginger was meat cuz it was huge pieces! Fresh Coconut - lots of juice inside and they opened it to eat the coconut meat Four season in a pitcher Manga juice in a can There was nothing special about this place or food. Decent prices.I am always in search of an authentic Filipino restaurant but this was not my fave; good enough; 2.5 stars. [113/100]

We had to meander inside and find a place that suited our numbers. Minus 1... Taking our order took forever. And when a service staff finally appeared and started listing our order, he disappeared (we found him at another table taking orders) What was that all about? The food...meh! Nothing special. Even the presentation was just super-meh! You have been warned. Please...take you tummy somewhere else...
