First of all the servings are huge. You can select the richness and spiciness of the broth. I'm skipping dinner tonight because I'm still full and I ate 6 hours ago. My only wondering is why are the slices of char siu thick? I appreciate thick slices of meat on my ramen but the spices were too thick to be a garnish. Lots of meat. I didn't finish it.

From the moment I walked in, I knew something was fishy (no pun intended). Just approaching the…read morerestaurant I saw the employees sitting outside on the tables just chatting. But I kept my head up, and had the positive mindset that this would be a great lunch. As I was being seated, I couldn't help but notice 3 flies about 1 or 2 centimeters in length flying around next to the table (we were first seated indoors by the window). So my dad and I decided to sit outside. Upon ordering, we were told they ran out of tuna, eel, and another type of sushi (I'm not familiar with, but I think it starts with a u...?). So I settled with the smoked salmon roll, the Spicy Carnival roll, and my dad ordered a bowl of different sashimi. We got the drinks first, and couldn't help but notice the mishaps, such as the sake being the equivalent amount of $7, for what seemed to be a very little amount, and the fact that they gave a tea cup instead of a sake cup, so instead, my dad just asked for a shot glass. But the bulk of the review is for the food. The food itself was alright, the smoked salmon roll was really thin, but the presentation was nice, the taste was good, and with the addition of it being dipped in soy sauce and wasabi, it tasted excellent. The spicy carnival was pretty good as well, but the presentation was kind of all over the place, but I can't complain, it does say carnival in the name. My dad's sashimi bowl, to him, was alright, but all it really had in it was salmon and squid. We decided we weren't full after his bowl and my 2 rolls of sushi. So we decided to go for another roll. We ordered their best selling roll, the Sumo Sam roll, which turned out to be a complete disappointment. It was a California roll, with something fried on top of it, and a "shrimp" on top. I was completely surprised when it arrived, because the shrimp was what restaurants use for popcorn shrimp. The smallest shrimp I have ever laid my eyes upon. That was your best seller? Really? The problems keep piling on as well, while we were eating, countless flying insects came to visit our food, and one even ended up going for a swim in my cup of coke after its little play around in my sushi (I know this because I noticed orange fish eggs/caviar on its feet). I'm not even sure how many insects flew into my food, but I know a few got trapped momentarily in the paste (they flew away as soon as they got free). The employees kept walking out of the restaurant to talk on the phone or text. One employee sat down on a table right in front of us and did paperwork (this is a minor complaint, but don't you have an office or something?). If there were enormous flies in the dining area, I'm not sure what is even in the kitchen. Overall, the food itself was mediocre to good, but literally everything else was a complete disaster. We really wanted to go eat sushi, have some father bonding time, and have a great time, but we just couldn't, as much as we wanted to. Of course the American way is to leave a tip on your way out, but dang that tip was really far out compared to what we experienced.

The moment I browsed their menu, the prices were expensive (P300-P500). I tried to reason out that maybe the food is worth the price. Maannnn.. never was i this wrong in my entire life. The menu items was pretty standard for a Japanese restuarant, you got the ramen, rice bowls, etc. We all ordered and they got different types of ramen while i ordered the Beef Bowl. Maybe after a good 20 minutes everyone got their orders but me, I kept calling for the waiters to check up on it but its as if they got retrogade amnesia. They place wasnt even packed yet, I also saw costumers who came sooner, already get their food and is asking for the bill.. it was kinda frustrating Now about 45 minutes of waiting i got my Beef Bowl but guess what IT WAS ROTTEN. Their was a disgusting smell coming from the bowl, I called for the server and return it. Their was never an apology or excuse. Nothing they just dont seem to care.. i cancelled my order, left my companions and ate in Army Navy.(because i was soo hungry :( ) I tried to give you a shot, I can understand an expensive menu but if youre food and staff dont live up to that, i think you better close the doors. Im sorry I really tried to defend you guys because I love japanese cuisine and uou guys look like you can be better. But after what i went through, the long wait, the horrendous smelling rotten beef, no just no

I've never had ramen in the Philippines, but the opportunity came up when FamBam and I decided to…read moresnack. Well... we just happen to be walking by this place when that came up. Knowing I'm probably not gonna have another chance to have ramen anywhere else during this vackay, it was no question we were gonna make a stop. I went for the miso ramen. Uncle went for the tonkotsu ramen. Big Bro and cousin decided they each wanted the 5-piece shrimp tempura. Service was pretty fast considering there were only 4 other tables being serviced. Needless to say, the bowls both came out quickly. My bowl wasn't impressive, even at the least. It barely hinted the aroma of miso, so I really didn't get any taste of it. There was nothing authentic about it, it was almost as if they just boiled water then added salt and miso powder before serving. It needs some serious work. Uncle said he liked his tonkotsu. I didn't bother tasting it since I was disappointed enough with the miso bowl. And I don't know how to get started on the shrimp tempura. (See attached picture.) There was no comparison to the picture they were advertising on their menu and what we got. It was quite a mess - the shrimp got lost in a forest of cooked tempura flour. I would score a zero on presentation for this dish. Big Bro and cousins said it was "okay." I know, maybe I'm being unfair since my palate is not one with the masses in this here area. But there's potential here - if they care just a little bit more, it will show and will make a difference with their food quality wise. Although the service was good, and unless they make better changes, I'm not sure I'd come back.
