The place was easy to spot, just look for the big red angry crab out in front. While the staff leads you to your table, you'll pass a tank filled with live crabs; you can't get any fresher than this. The restaurant is an open air restaurant so no air con just electric fans. WE ORDERED: - Fried shrimp (complimentary appetizer) - this was ok - Garlic rice was sticky, I wasn't wild about the flavor. - Chili Crab was swimming in a spicy tomato based curry sauce, there was a hint of sweetness: my guess is they used cooking wine. Crab was meaty, but not as sweet as blue crabs which are my favorite. They separated the crab into manageable portions before serving. - Mango shake was made from fresh fruit, this was thick, sweet and delicious. You'll pay a pretty penny here. I think you're enjoyment will depend on your individual taste: hubby liked the food more than I, so I'll give it a safe 3 stars.

This, he told me, is the superior seafood restaurant in the Angelas city area locally known yet also famous with tourists. The architecture is bamboo seeming made in the ancient traditional methods. The value was awesome. It cost me 35usd for a beer crabs and rice. The chilli crab was as good as any I have eaten in Singapore. The crabs are fresh and juicy still alive in the tank. I also saw the coconut crab which other diners loved or the steam crab is apparently the specialty of the house. By the way share these because the servings are large. I was hungry but I couldn't eat it all. The service is great and the staff were extremely warm, friendly and welcoming in the greatest Phillipino traditions. That grab driver deserves a high five from me

Dr…read more Ferdinand Anno invited me to this Riverfarm knowing that I loved organically-grown seafood. Its a hidden fish farm next to a river, with floating huts and tables around surrounded by a lush green vegetation of trees and coconuts. Bathrooms are available and parking is certainly all over under trees and shade, this was so inviting and reminded me of the prairies surrounded by singing birds, and the chirping sounds of crickets and other insects. We ordered a bunch of locally-sourced fish and other interesting seafood galore. The grilled milkfish is to die for, smelled fresh and tasty and was partnered with a side dish of "pakpaku", a local vegetable favorite ,and garnished with tomatoes and freshly harvested peopers. We also had their "Dinakdakan" which is a local design, a grilled pork with mayonnaise, species with tomatoes and garlic galore. This cacauphony of slightly cooked meats was so creamy and the vinegrette and mayonnaise complemented the tastes of the smokey meat and garnishes. The Malaga fish was also grilled to perfection and it tasted like a light fleshy fish and when you dip it in fish sauce with Onions and tomatoes, you begin to enjoy its freshness and seafood qualities. The " dinengdeng or inabraw" was another local creation which was a combination of long beans, saluyot and shrimp to enhance the flavors of the Northern part of Luzon. But when they offered me to taste the "pakpaku or fern" I became excited to explore a grass looking weed I have never had in my life. The fern was light steamed and garnished with tomatoes and Onions and a little fish sauce. The fern veggie was crunchy and tasted like regular Seaweed but neutral on the side. I loved the crunchiness and grasslike twists that played into my mouth which to me was a perfect company to my fish and other vegetables in the menu. So, if you're visiting the Northern part of Philippines, drop by this place and eat their food, enjoy the landscape and dive in to the culinary delights that attracted Spain, Japan and Americans to this beautiful and luscious country.

Kept asking them how long more , all they replied was oh yes they are cooking more. OMG why they kept running out of foods if they even asked for reservations. Then people kept coming in on their own so us that had reservations had to wait for some other foods that was empty. No words from the staff or apologies came from any of the staff. It's sad because of how the restaurant runs . And kids are charged full price from 4 feet's above and under 4 feet's 300 pesos . They should charge by certain ages . Staffs are not trained well no customer service. We always asking what we need foodrinks & tissue not being refilled while needed always waiting. I don't understand why they can't accept cards when cash has been used as deposits. The difference wanted to pay with card the supervisor said no. I didn't asked for the deposit back I was willing to pay the difference on my credit card. Not acceptable....i will never refer my friends and family from abroad. I don't want them to get the bad service as we experience. This Dampa restaurant was at Dampa Urdaneta Pagasinan.

Mom and I love LOVE love their Dagupan location the food there is SOOO good, so after a few hours'…read moredrive coming from Nueva Vizcaya, we were delighted to find there's a location here. And with the lunch hour as well as hanger pangs perfectly timing a tag team, it was a must stop. The snag? There was a wait. Whoa, we were number 9 on the list and a a couple of names had parties of 10 or more. However, one of the hosts told us it shouldn't be that long of a wait: we were guaranteed to be seated within 15 minutes. In the meanwhile, we were seated at one of the outdoor tables and given menus. They asked us to look it over while we wait and put in our order, so by the time we get seated inside, our food would also be good and ready to be served. That's pretty clever, eh?! And as promised, we were seated inside about 10 minutes after we got on the waiting list. We didn't wait that long either before our goodies started coming through. HIPON CRISPY: Also known as "nilasing na hipon" (drunken shrimp) was AMAZING. Made to order hot and still sizzling by the time it got to our table, it's worse than potato chips: you can't have just one. I almost put in another order, but! we had other grub to get through! But this is a definite must have/must try. SINIGANG NA MALAGA: Mom said she hasn't had this for a long time, so it was a must have. One order is only good for 2 people, and being a party of 4, we put in two orders. To be honest, I didn't think it was worth the price. It's supposedly one of their more popular items (which probably explains the cost, plus the fish itself must be pricey) but it was mediocre at best - at least for me. Don't get me wrong: it wasn't horrible, but it was nothing to call home about. BONELESS BANGUS NA INIHAW: Came through with a really good char and seasoned well. There was no hint of dryness and it was a pretty good size. Delish! POKI POKI: Their version of eggplant salad. This was a recent discovery for me from another eatery, so a bar has been set. Not as great as the first one I tried, but this was pretty close. The eggplant, tomato and onions were fresh and the shrimp paste didn't come off too strong. Great palate cleanser. GRILLED PORK BELLY: The marinade was perfect. Somehow they managed to keep the skin crispy as they grilled it. Came with a dip which, honestly, didn't think it needed. It was delish on its own. I also got sago and gulaman to wash it all down. FOOD: 4. SERVICE: 5. Our server, Marlon, was a pro at tending to our every need. He was friendly and provided service with a smile. I would say he's the reason for the above par rating. VALUE: 3. PARKING: They have their own parking spots, but if they're full, a parking attendant will let you double park and have you move your car as needed. OVERALL: 4. As good of a run this was, I think I much prefer the location in Dagupan. I felt they were a little more generous with their offerings, and although I can't really put my finger on it, the food there is slightly better. But I wouldn't mind coming back here again. If only for the drunken shrimp! Good first run! If my travels take me around this 'hood again, I'd most likely make another stop.

I wanted a bottle of water and there was a bunch of people standing in the back not attending to anyone. I later found out the mayor of Manila was sitting in the next table. Efficient but not warm and inviting because the waiting area was small and your party can be spread throughout waiting area.

It's been so long that I don't even remember what the place looked like but I'll say I was pretty impressed with the overall appearance. Two floors worth of seating situated next to water. What a view! Plenty of tables open and we chose to sit by the water. There are a couple of boatmen selling goodies from the ocean. (Not sure if they're affiliated with the restaurant, though.) The only thing I wanted to try was the crispy kangkong which came out less than crispier than I preferred but pretty good for a starter. (I left it to my party to choose whatever else they wanted.) Got to taste the binagoongan which had a hint of sweetness to it. Not bad either. The crispy catfish was amazing! That fish was no doubt fresh and meaty and juicy with the perfect seasoning. Didn't even need the dip. There was an order of sinigang and kilawin but didn't get to try those since I was focused on the fried fish and got full from it. Heh... FOOD: 4. SERVICE: 3. VALUE: 4. Twice I've been here and each visit gets better and more interesting…read more Now, this is a fish market, and as most (if not all) wet markets go in the Philippines, the area as a whole is a bit of a mess, so wear appropriate clothing - SHOES are a must. (I would know, I made the mistake of wearing flip flops the first time, but in fairness, I didn't know we were going here.) Both times, I was lucky enough to witness plenty of boats coming in from the sea with their fresh catch. The variety of seafood is unbelievable - a couple of dozen types of fish, seafood including tuna, red snapper and salmon, crabs, shrimp, clams, mussels, prawns, octopus, etc. There was fresh seaweed I haven't seen for decades (arorosep, I believe it's called.) I even got to witness some sort of bidding for some reserved products. Walking around is an experience like no other. Price point?! Almost everything is pretty much a bargain buy. If you're patient enough and can haggle, you'll get what you want for the price you want to pay. (So long as you're reasonable!) Immediately on its outskirts closer to the main street, there are plenty of vendors selling dried goods - mostly dried salted fish among other products. There are some interesting buys there as well. It is a bit chaotic and it can be overwhelming with the crowd, but it was pretty much an organized frenzy. I found it fun just walking and looking around. I ended up buying and bringing stuff home for dinner. It can't get any more fresh when many of their products were (literally) just harvested a few hours prior. (On a personal note, this is my 1,000th vendor Yelp review!) Anyway! It'll be on my next MUST STOP for fresh seafood (and then some) for sure.
