Our first night there she needed help and they left her unattended for almost an hour. They forced her into a diaper even though her surgery after care said absolutely no diapers. She was constantly uncomfortable and not listened to. I found multiple roaches in every room we set foot into. On top of all of this my mother is deaf and they refused to get her an interpreter. They gave her a white board on the first day to communicate and when I returned the next day it was on the other side of the room... making it impossible for her to use. When I insisted she needs an interpreter for effective communication, they simply gave her a tablet THAT SHE HAD TO USE BOTH HANDS TO USE. Famously deaf people need their hands to communicate so this did not work and they did not offer a solution. At one point they caused her wounds to open and she was bleeding all over her body. They insisted that I come in and interpret so she wasn't scared.... hmm seems if they needed me they also needed an ACTUAL INTERPRETER. Please please do not send your loved ones here. My mother and I are still traumatized from our experience and I wouldn't wish what we went through on anyone. I'd give this place 0 stars if I could.

Without question, my all-time favorite is Ivy Rehab in Glen Cove. What makes Ivy Rehab stand head and shoulders above the other facilities I've visited? First, the physical therapists are not only highly skilled and professional, but also compassionate, encouraging, and blessed with a wonderful sense of humor. They are supported by an excellent team of assistants who guide patients through their exercises with care and attention. Just as important, the entire staff respects their patients' time. I was never left sitting around wondering what came next. As soon as I completed an exercise, someone was there to guide me to the next one. At other facilities, I often found myself waiting five minutes before anyone noticed I was ready to continue. That may sound like a small detail, but it makes an enormous difference. Above all, there is a wonderfully positive atmosphere throughout the facility. The staff conveys a genuine belief in their patients' ability to improve, and that optimism is contagious. I am deeply grateful for the mobility I've regained under their care. Should I ever need physical therapy again, I wouldn't consider going anywhere else.
