I called to make an appointment for my fiance who was experiencing really bad back pain. I even asked for someone who would be good to get in the knots so they suggested janette. My fiance got out of the massage and was very disappointed. He was not relaxed during the massage because she was speaking to him the entire duration of the massage and he didn't want to be rude ... she even brought up politics which is extremely unprofessional , especially him being a PROUD republican. It's really disgusting. I am so mad that I booked this place. She didn't even massage the areas that he addressed to her !! Complete waste of time and money ! read more

Recently got a prenatal massage with Carolyn - I'm 9 months pregnant but there was no concern whatsoever in the technique by Carolyn. The space was clean and the bed with the hole for belly and breasts was comfortable. It was relaxing but Carolyn also targeted muscles that I'm sure she felt were tense. I will say that I did have ask for harder pressure, which I often do with a prenatal, so not a bad thing as they're likely not sure - but once adjusted, it felt amazing. read more

First and foremost, customer service is a 5/5. All therapists are kind. My first time here was a little rocky with the therapist I was paired up with. I go for massages frequently and have never had a rocky session. However, upon voicing my concerns and dissatisfaction, management was prompt to make it up to me. My second visit I was paired with Paula. She was so attentive to detail, kind, and knew exactly what to do with the issues I had whether I voiced it or not. She was consistent and very careful with me. Paula remains very serious and guarded, overall professional. But she is very good at what she does. I usually need medium to deep tissue massage. While Paula did not go too hard on me, I felt relaxed and relieved for the most part. She did get a lot of my tension and some knots to be minimized. I do recommend this location. Just one suggestion to think about, the therapists seem very experienced and have lots of knowledge. Both times I did not receive any feedback at the end of my session about any concerns or issues we were able to help alleviate. It could be this location is not like that, whereas I'm use to getting feedback at the end for anything that stands out. First time going here today. I had an excellent experience. I was able to get an appointment the same day for some shoulder pain I was having. There was an issue with the schedule and the person who was supposed to do my massage but they were able to rectify the situation and I was able to have Amber do my massage. She was phenomenal, really felt like she knew what she was doing. She asked how the pressure was and adjusted perfectly. I recommend Massage for Wellness and Amber! read more

Booked a hot stone one hour massage as a gift for my husband. He got a regular massage and when it was over he asked where the hot stones were. The therapist said she didn't realize it was booked as hot stone...I booked this on their own website and got a confirmation. Shouldn't they be confirming the type of massage prior to starting??? This has been my go-to massage and facial spa for years! The prices are not costly, the staff is exceptional and the environment is beyond relaxing. I could not rave about this spot more. I go there for deep tissue massages to target my neck, back and TMJ pain and have found relief no matter who works on me. Got a Swedish massage (plus hot stones) from a very warm and friendly massage therapist Rennae. It was literally the best massage I ever received. She is very knowledgeable of anatomy/physiology and knows exactly where and how to massage the muscles to sooth them and get rid of all "knots." I felt amazing during the massage and for days after. Plus she asks questions prior to the massage to get a better understanding of your preferences and encourages you to communicate during in case you want more or less pressure or to focus on a particular area. Plus the receptionist was so friendly and warm as well. Great place! read more

Definitely a hit or miss with the masseuses. Do not book with Susan. She will waste your time talking and insist on putting a heating pad on your back so she can have less time to actually massage. She basically just gives a back rub. So so awful I literally had to end the session early and thankfully wasn't charged for the horrible experience. Barbara, Lisa, Lenore & John Steven have all helped me with my headaches brought on by stress in my neck and shoulders. They explained and then successfully achieved my goal of headache pain relief by concentrating on my tight, so tight, shoulders and neck. I am so glad a coworker referred me here! I have had terrible massage experiences in the past at other locations, and I am always weary when I try a new place. Massage for Wellness exceeded my expectations and continues to do so! The location appears unassuming from the exterior, but the staff is highly professional, respects your privacy and follows the same HIPAA laws as medical facilities. The massage rooms and tables are always clean and have an appropriate ambiance. The masseuses are licensed massage therapists, who always help to ease my upper back pain. Renee has been an excellent masseuse, I especially enjoy that I do not feel pressured to talk and I can enjoy the massage. All of the staff is friendly and provides quality massages. I found MASSAGE WELLNESS in HICKSVILLE by placing a post on a local Mom's Facebook Group.Paulette came highly recommended. I've been fortunate to have a lot of really great massages all over NYC. I have to admit I snobbishly wasn't expecting to find a gem like her in a strip mall on Long Island! Paulette is AMAZING. She has years of experience and is constantly improving her game by educating herself in various techniques. She understands the body and is quite intuitive. Her mission is to find out your problem QUICKLY and get it solved IN ONE SESSION. Whatever she has to do to accomplish that she will - deep tissue, stretching, cupping, Reiki.. she knows it all! John was fantastic! So informative and kind. He knew exactly what my issue was with my shoulder and gave me so many pro-tips on how to stretch it even after the massage. I had a gift card to SpaFinder and this was one of the few places near me that accepted those gift cards. It was pretty easy to book a service online through SpaFinder but then I called to add another service onto my massage. I was a little irritated that I had to hold for about five minutes for someone to pick up, and their messaging system would say "Press 5 for a call back" and I could slam my finger down on the phone repeatedly on the 5 and nothing would happen. The place was bright and clean and I had one of the first appointments of the day. I had a wonderful facial by Jamie and a few days later my skin still feels fantastic. After my facial I moved onto a hot stone massage. I forgot the masseuse's name (sorry!) but she was very nice. I made the mistake of writing down medium to soft on my form for my massage preference and I'm one of those wusses who doesn't speak up, so I would have liked her to go harder but didn't say anything. Now I know for next time! My only complaints are that since the place is small you can hear almost everything even with a white noise machine. My massage was in a room near the front entrance and I could hear the phone ringing, doors slamming, etc. Not exactly the most relaxing. I also (unfortunately) developed a skin reaction to something that was used during my massage. THIS IS NO FAULT OF THE SPA! I sometimes have weird reactions to lotions/perfumes and I guess something they used triggered it. If I knew what it was I would have let them know ahead of time, but I never know what can spark it. I would definitely go back again, the customer service was great and I left feeling very relaxed. read more

Gave this place another try and booked a 60 min massage with Heidi and it was amazing! All covid protocols in place- everything was extremely clean and sanitized- felt very safe. I filled out an intake sheet and covid questionnaire in advance and then waited in the car until they were ready for me. I told Heidi what was bothering me and what I wanted her to focus on and she was excellent. I definitely will be booking with her in the future! A diamond in the rough. I was pleasantly surprised. It is a small independent business in a strip mall, which doesnt really look like much on the outside. Honestly it looks kinds run down, so i wasnt expecting it to be a professional establishment. The receptionist was welcoming and friendly and clarified my appointment, the therapist was also kind and professional and communication seems to be very important here, thankfully they understood my issues and concerns. I will admit the inside seems a bit shabby chic and home goods inspired with inconsistent decor and furnishings, but it is a small business and independently owned and operated so they dont have the large budget of a franchise or chain. They charge a bit more than their competitors but you can tell the staff are treated well and are committed to your wellness. The menu is fairly standard and has what one expects from a wellness spa. I chose the swedish medical option as i had some specific things i wanted addressed. I would be happy to return for some of the more detailed spa like experiences. read more

I Went in for my first facial ever and was super nervous BUT it was such an AMAZING experience!! The staff was friendly and informative. Jamie answered all my questions and recommended products for my skin after. She was gentle throughout the whole process but my face feels clean and fresh. I feel like I got a brand new face!! DO NOT GO HERE. MY EXPERIENCE WAS EXTREMELY NEGATIVE. THIS IS NOT A CARING PLACE. I needed to find a massage place in the Hicksville area. After searching Yelp and reading the reviews, I made a reservation, bringing a friend for her birthday. I explained when making the appointment that my friend had specific needs caused by pain issues and was assured that they would be met. These were not special treatments - they are offered on the site. Another phone call, another assurance. When we got there, we once again told the woman at the desk what my friend wanted. However, the therapist put pressure on my friend to do what was easier for her - not what my friend wanted. My friend - a shy person - felt pressured and went along with it. Needless to say, it was a bad experience - not only physically but it was stressful as well. We left and my friend - reluctant to complain about a gift - ultimately told me what happened. I went back in and made my displeasure known. I went back and explained what happened. The woman at the desk questioned the story, siding with the therapist before even talking to her. I got a voicemail a short time later saying that I would be refunded for that treatment. That said, this is not a place that listens to the needs of its customers. Okay this place is so so. I was hoping for a sensual soothing massage and all I got was heavy pressure and lots of pain. I understand the therapist had to loosen me up to work on my knots and adjustments, however a massage is supposed to be comfortable and relaxing. The entire time my hands, feet, and teeth were clenched because I was in sheer pain. The therapist did not listen to me when I said medium to light pressure, he just kept digging deeper until I finally said OUCH! I have gotten massages outdoors in Hawaii at a Four Seasons resort, from top masseuses at resorts out east, as well as local nail salons, cruises, Massage Envy, and everywhere else in between. Massage for Wellness is hands down the ABSOLUTE BEST. The staff here are very highly educated and always keeping up to date on professional development/etc. , and it shows. I started coming here while I was pregnant for prenatal massages. They are one of the only nearby places that has tables with cut outs. I went to Paulette while I was pregnant. She was wonderful. They offer so many types of massage and other therapies. Also, the rooms are beautifully painted with different themes and are so serene. This facility is literally a life saver. I started to come to MFW when I first learned of my infertility issues, and I was looking for massages to relax. After 2 sessions I truly feel like the therapists genuinely care about your physical and mental wellbeing. It is a very clean, professional, and well run business. The prices are on par with what I've seen for legitimate massage facilities, that employ actual massage therapists who know what they're doing! On occasion, you'll find coupons in the community Pennysaver-type mailers. Massage for Wellness keeps a chart on each client, including medical history and background. The therapist speaks to you each visit to see what's going on and what body parts need a little extra TLC. I've felt comfortable with the majority of the therapists I've encountered over the years. Most of the time, I come out of the massage room super relaxed. On occasion, I've had a therapist who talks too much or made the hour feel rushed. However, you can avoid this experience by booking a specific therapist-- the receptionist usually knows the style of each therapist--or politely asking for a quiet massage. Parking can be tricky, so give yourself a few extra minutes prior to the appointment time. read more

Not a traditional fancy spa but amazing treatments. I've been going to Tabatha for my prenatal massages and she is the best. I've been to many high end spas such as Four Seasons/Ritz resorts and Red Door and this has been one of my favorites massages. A big bonus for pregnant women is that they have the special table with the cut out for your belly so you can actually lay on your stomach and enjoy your massage. Highly recommend! read more
