I consider myself lucky to have found this roofer. I had at least 5 companies come out to bid on my flat roof and we requested TPU. This is the only company who recommended GE Enduris Silicone so of course we did our research. It was pretty much a no-brainer because of its 20 year warranty. No more leaks for us! The install was efficient and they even provided a quality control visit a couple of days after and fixed a few things. This company is seriously organized. I'd use them again in a heartbeat. I just want to say that these guys have the best customer service and follow-up that I have experienced in this particular industry. I have spoken with a lot of contractors and no one is as timely or responsive as Duke at Maximus. We were looking to do an in-law or addition, and he had detailed estimates for me in days, whereas I was waiting weeks or never got a formal bid from others. Unfortunately, plans fell through because of Covid and my parents decided to pivot and purchase a separate property instead. But they are saved in my phonebook for any big projects we have in the future and I recommend them to anyone who asks for leads. read more

I am very impressed with MDI - its professionalism, completeness, attention to detail, and how easy it is to get in touch with someone at all times is important. I am a first-time home-buyer, and I needed my house to be updated; Max and his team had a good idea of what I was looking for based on my budget and the constraints of the actual layout of the house. He asked a lot of questions, and he would follow up with specific items before moving forward. I liked how they had an idea of how things may want to be, but that they were sure to get my sign-off. He even asked me to sketch out my own closet. And I must say, I LOVE my closet - it has just the right amount of hanging space and cubbies to organize my accessories. We bought a house that needed a full remodel. Besides the exterior walls everything was redone. We moved bathrooms, took out load barring walls, all new electrical, new kitchen, and much more. Max and his crew came in with a competitive bid, were professional and promised the quickest timeline. I was skeptical about the timeline in the beginning. MDI had guys (who were professional and very friendly) at the house six days a week. HIS TILE GUY WAS AT OUR HOUSE UNTIL 4:00PM ON THANKSGIVING DAY! Since we weren't living there the long hours didn't bother us one bit. Needless to say we couldn't be happier we choose MDI. I have referred him to friends and family. Another huge plus about Max; when we have a project as big as ours there will be change orders. We only had a few pop up but Max was extremely fair with any unexpected change orders. First of all I believe readers should know the background of an issue before judging a review. I bought a house that MDI rehabbed - a Flip house. They did a nice job of matching cabinets with counter tops, flooring and paint. The house showed beautifully. But as with every pig that had lipstick put on it you have to look closer at what you are getting. As I have had the chance and time to live in the house I notice the imperfections. But that is not why I give MDI two stars. As I said, the cosmetic part looked beautiful. But the guts on this pig is really what should have been addressed. First the electrical was bad, shorting in several places. MDI sent their electrician out to find the problem and then fix it. They replaced the electrical panel but left most of the electrical circuits as they appeared to be in good condition. But then their electrician put a ground rod in and broke the main water pipe coming into the house. So MDI sent out a plumber who patched up the hole that was created. And when I say patched that is what I mean. A few months later the patch job failed and I had to call out another plumber at a cost of $450. There have been other issues as well that I won't bore you with. I will say this, Max has been good at returning my calls and discussing the issues I have had with this house. And Anna is very nice on the phone. Their crew have all been very courteous and for the most part knowledgeable to a point. But I can't get past the issues they left this house with. read more
