People of Flint, you have 2 exports to be proud of; Michael Moore and Koegel Hot Dogs…read more Now how in the heck can I review Koegel Hot Dogs if I am in Pennsylvania? An explanation is needed. Here in Pittsburgh, we have an old church-turned-bar/concert venue called Altar that is located in the Strip District section of the city. Altar does not serve food, but out front during an event, you'll often find a hot dog cart operated by a guy/gal tandem. Sometime last year, I went to Altar for the first time, and needing to stave off hunger pangs, decided to get a frank or 2 before entering Altar. In doing so, I tasted the most daringly different damn dog ever. After chatting with the vendor, I found out where they originated from and located a website later that evening at home. Here I was thinking at first that perhaps the vendors made the dogs themselves or got them from a local butcher. That's how perfect they are. "Serve the curve" for darn sure. Hell, they're way ahead of it. Tie me up with a rope made of these linked franks anyday so I can eat my way out of my bonds like an escape artist/competitive eater hybrid. Then repeat.

The workers are always friendly and give good advice. The store is always clean and well kept and easy to see the food in the displays. If you're looking for something special, this is a place to go. They treat you like a king. So that all said I'll probably go there once a month to fulfill a special need. Like yesterday, I was looking for a smoked pork shanks to make bean soup and the head exactly what I want the price was easily within the price at local food stores.

This comes with 4 meats, 4 sides, and 4 pieces of Cornbread. I got Pulled Pork, Brisket, Smoked Wings, and Ribs ($8 upcharge) for my meats. For the sides I got Mac N Cheese, Bbq Pit Beans, Mashed Potatoes, and Spicy Creamed Corn. Overall everything was good and well cooked. From best to least it was Ribs, Brisket, Smoked Wings, and then the Pulled Pork. I would get the ribs and brisket again, but probably pass on the wings and pulled pork. The Bbq beans were only okay, oddly enough as cold leftovers they were much better. The Mac N Cheese was okay, but I wouldn't get it again. The Mashed Potatoes were very good. The spicy Cream Corn was excellent, they weren't lying it has a spicy kick! Funny enough the best thing was the Cornbread. It was fantastic, some of the best I've had. The worst thing? The sauces. They all were not good at all. The most tolerable one is their regular sauce, still a c minus. The service was good, but I was asked how I was doing about a hundred times. Still everyone was friendly. Overall a 4 star review. Would I return? If I was in Lansing then Yes. It is quality bbq cooked by someone with skill. I just might bring my own bbq sauce.

Haleeb dairy products. I'm writing today because I would love to see your business grow even further, and I think a dedicated website would be a great next step. The physical ambiance is really aesthetic. The store is massive and it I has everything you could look for. In fact, you guys are the only place my father recommends for authentic sesame oil. Many customers in the Flint area look for specialty Egyptian and international groceries online before they visit. A website would make it much easier for us to see your latest inventory, check store hours, and even place advance orders for pickup. I would personally recommend using Shopify or WooCommerce. These are globally recognized leaders in e-commerce that are very user-friendly and would give you full control over your store's digital identity. Please do NOT use Wix as they are Israeli. I believe a digital storefront would bring in many new customers who are searching for the unique products only Sindbad Foods Market provides. Thank you for all you do for our community! Best regards, A loyal customer out of state.
