We had exchanged e-mails last week, Mary had offered two potential times. I e-mailed back saying that one of the times worked, giving both my Skype name and telephone number. I never heard back, but assumed that we would be meeting, since she specified a date and time. I had cleared my morning schedule to meet, and waited...and waited. I didn't hear anything, so I called her office twice, got no response. Finally, I e-mailed her, and received this response back: "Sorry, I've been swamped. After further thought, I don't believe I have capacity for this work in 2019. Good luck with your search. Thanks for contacting me. Mary" Not being able to work with a potential client because you have too much work? Totally understandable! Not saying this upfront while offering meeting times, then being a complete no-show at the time you suggested, while simultaneously not being reachable via phone? Very unprofessional.

It would be also a good idea to ask for a written estimate of the bill before letting them work for you. I used their service for one issue, they did a reasonable job, so I sent them the next year's tax return preparation with some international complications. Only thing I heard from them was they needed to do some research, before handing me a bill for several thousand dollars for a single year's tax return. Perhaps it was my fault that I didn't ask for a quote first but frankly I didn't expect a bill for tax preparation could be more than a few hundred bucks. If they didn't know how to handle certain things and had to research them, I'd expect either (1) they did it on their dime since they didn't know how to do their job, or (2) at least they should have first asked me that they were about to spend thousands of dollars of my money to study up on the issue and if that was okay with me. If you want to hire so-so CPAs and pay them through your nose, go ahead and hire this firm. Otherwise, I'm sure there are much better and cost-effective service firms you can retain somewhere else. Another personal issue for me was, I never got the impression that they had any respect for me as a customer. They went from being merely polite to quite rude very quickly once I complained about the unexpectedly high charge. Obviously, money matters much more to them than building long term relationships with customers. I'm glad my business with them is done. Hopefully, I won't have to deal with them again.

I've learned to stay away from flashy CPA's and rather than be sold on their services, ask them questions and listen to their suggestions. March 6, 2026, WARNING!! to any existing or potential clients, please read this review. I am 74 and…read morein poor health, I was an independent family Doctor in Tacoma for 45 years. I kept my private practice open during Covid despite great financial loss out of my retirement fund to pay my staff, but only see emergent patients. And unfortunately, my entire staff including myself contracted Covid. But this was my community duty as a Family Doctor, and my hippocratic oath. The federal government offered some help to partially compensate doctors that kept their private practices open during the pandemic with a program called the employee retention credit. elite CPA assured me after a 45 year relationship that they could take care of the necessary CPA paperwork for federal reimbursement. Apparently elite sent in the wrong forms or filled them out incorrectly, and then sent the corrected forms late past the government guidelines; after working on these for over three years, costing me thousands and thousands of dollars. I can't afford the loss because I'm retired and run a private rescue ranch for horses, dogs, and cats which is very expensive. Instead of investigating what happened and compensate me if THEY found any mistakes that were made, Mr. Dadgar the principal, decided not to investigate what happened or give me any explanation for all the money that was lost, and then terminated our relationship without cause. I am currently asking the Washington State board of accountancy to do a thorough investigation and apply any necessary penalties and fines. If they find professional misconduct, mistakes, neglect, and or fraud, penalties could include large fines, and loss of their state license. I have given the state proof of mistakes, misconduct, and neglect, which caused their client great financial loss. Also possible fraud as they held a $53,000 check for months all the time denying they had it, and making me go through the trouble of trying to get a second check from the IRS; which probably raised a red flag for my account for AUDIT! Is there anyone out there that would want a CPA like this? I have tried to communicate with elite CPA to resolve our fee dispute, and just find out what happened. But all I get is threats of penalty fees and collection agencies. Elite CPA even refused to send my records so I could find out what happened, and find a new CPA, which is the state law. PLEASE, if you ever had an independent family DOCTOR that cared for you and your family, help me resolve this by calling elite CPA and ask them to fulfill their professional obligations. I am in very poor health, and this is not how I wanted to spend my retirement. Believe me, these people will not have your back if there's any problems. Tonight is Friday, March 6, 2026, I will continue to keep this review posted of the outcome of the states investigations and results, and any state fines, or penalties; and if elite decides to fulfill their obligations. We were worried at first because we had received such excellent service in the past. We needn't have worried as Allan has been great. He is very knowledgeable skilled and understands our needs.
