Logan Gerwing ruined my life! The day I stepped in into Peak Health &Performance Logan Gerwing's…read moreoffice will always be marked as a 'black' day in my family's calendar. The lacrosse ball exercise he gave me for my back that I followed to a tee, caused me devastating harm and injuries. Since that day, 15 months ago, my back is in excruciating pain and can't heal. Also, after that exercise, I have difficulty standing and sitting. There is no more such a thing as a good night sleep in my vocabulary because laying down hurts - hurts a lot. I feel like I am half-human now. I have been seeing many Alberta Health practitioners since and no one can understand what is happening and how to help me recover. The one message that I received from Alberta Health rehabilitation professionals is clear - first of all, I should've never been given such an exercise considering my condition and secondly, if given such an exercise, it should be started in standing by the wall position and just for some 20 seconds. Pain clinic's Kinesiologist couldn't believe what happened. He said that everything over a minute of lacrosse ball is for professional athletes, who compete, in the best shape of heir lives and with years of practice. Another spine doctor, with 44 years of experience, said that considering my condition, this would be 'the worst idea he can imagine to be suggested.' When I came back to Peak Health & Performance to address this with Logan Gerwing, while I was waiting in a hallway, he passed me multiple times as I don't exist and am a piece of furniture. It looked that he knew, from my message left for him with a front desk, that he caused me harm and tried to completely ignore my presence while I was waiting, until I just had no choice as to step in front of him to make my appearance as obvious as it couldn't as it can be. Team leader, Evan Durnin was present that day also, and didn't make any effort to step in. I was shocked! During my long career in management, as soon as there was a customer service concern, I would always jump in to help assist my staff member and make sure that I have the issue resolved. The worst part is that I already was legs-down paralyzed once in my lifetime and fought back to a complete recovery. Since then, I valued my health so much that I had no bad habits and no contact sports, and my family and my community is shocked that my life was ruined by medical professional! My father requires a heart surgery and my mother-in-law needs treatment for her not to lose her legs. I was up for a promotion after working hard for last 16 years and, now instead of having a chance to save my relatives lives, being able to support their treatments, I am off-work, at my worst health and financial situation ever, after stepping into Logan Gerwing's office. It looks that the only help I can get now is from a place like a Mayo clinic that I can't afford and will have to launch a GodFundMe campaign to support my trip. In this case I will have to let millions of my social media viewers aware of my situation and this experience. My family and community is shocked from seeing how harmful chiropractic can be and how one visit can ruin lives of the whole family! I am contacting World Federation of Chiropractic Secretariat to have this situation addressed and hopefully they can guide me to a recovery (if its possible).

I haven't been through a severe accident or sports injury myself so can't speak to that, but have dealt with chronic pain in my lower back, shoulders and neck throughout most of my adult life. I've also developed a knee issue over the last couple years. Evan's chiropractic work, ART, and acupuncture have worked magic that I didn't see with the other couple of chiros I've seen. This practice has a great philosophy with longer and fewer appointments that are followed prescribed exercise and stretching regimens by email. They don't try and hook you into as many appointments as possible like some practices do. They want to make you better, not make you spend stupid amounts of money. The RMTs similarly take a holistic approach and are happy to provide advice on stretches and exercises. They listen to your needs and are equipped with different methods of treatment if you so desire. For example, cupping. Very easy administrative processes and you can book online, in person or by phone. Since I'm with Green Shield, I don't even have to make a payment since its all done automatically and the receipt is emailed. No fuss is much appreciated! Friendly and knowledgeable staff! If youre looking for a new chiro or some good massage, check them out!

But I woke up and I was having extreme pain from my left hip all the way down my leg. Behind my left knee there was in so much pain and my calf was so tight!! I was so uncomfortable and I at one point I could barely stand. I was so grateful because they just happened to have an opening. I went in and explained everything. The chiropractor did a sound wave machine on me and it hurt pretty bad. It did give some relief, when I went home the pain came back full force, but I did what the chiropractor told me to do and slowly but surly I felt so much more relief. By the evening I felt so much better! I still have a bit of aching, but I feel like a new person! I went from pain of 12 out of 10 to a four or five in just a few hours! I'm sooo grateful! I cannot say enough about the care and the concern I received!

Hi all, I've been coming to see Dr Shane Vold for 2016, and…read moream completely satisfied with his bedside manner as well as the various treatments he's able to provide. I'm used to receiving Adjustments as well as ART with my chiro in Ontario, but Shane has done the Adjustments as well as Graston instead - it works out so well!!! The hours are pretty convenient, and they've just started doing online booking - awesome way to manage things! The office staff are lovely, as are the RMT's who share the clinic space with him. All around good clinic experience. This is the 4th chiro I've been to since I've moved to Alberta in 2014 (I'm picky) - and by far, he has been the best combination of experience and great personality so far.

Unfortunately this place turned out to be a major disappointment and I cannot stress enough to…read moreother would-be customers to steer clear of here. 1) record keeping You would think any kind of healthcare facility, be it a physicians office or a massage therapy place, would have a professional obligation to maintain accurate records of what is done at each appointment. That is not the case here. They have noted that I had multiple physio appointments but no notes or record of what exercises or plan they had done. Essentially, at each follow-up it was like a whole new visit with many "what did we recommend last time?" Pathetic. 2) customer service Imagine trying to get a progress note sent to your physician. It's like pulling teeth. They promise that they will get it done promptly, many weeks later you're still waiting and after calling to inquire you're met by an abrasive and dismissive admin assistant who says no note to that effect was on the chart (see point 1). Incompetence runs very high in this place. 3) questionable billing Check your credit card statement. I have a few charges above and beyond what was agreed that "magically appeared" on my statement...these are currently in the process of being investigated by my credit card company and hopefully a chargeback will ensue. Bottom line is, there are far better and more ethical places to find in the city for physio and other allied health professionals. I, unfortunately, looked for the cheapest place and essentially got what I paid for -- a shit experience. Stay away.

I had severely injured my arm during a seizure, and it was getting progressively worse every day…read more When I saw Dr Nenshi, I had zero strength in my hand and arm and the pain was unbearable at that point. After just the first treatment using ARPWave and FSM (frequency specific microcurrent), I gained about 10-20 percent of my strength and mobility. I was amazed at how quickly it had turned around and was already on the mend. The second treatment also involved ARP and FSM. After the treatment was finished, I had approx. 70% of my grip and mobility back. The fact that I had any grip was impressive, but 70% blew my mind away. Just after my 3rd treatment, I was just about at full strength in my hand and the pain had decreased drastically. It was at that point, tolerable. Today I have 100% strength and mobility in my right arm and hand, with zero pain. It's as if the injuries never happened. I have so much gratitude and appreciation for all that Dr Nenshi has helped me with. She has kept me driven to better my health. She is a true hero in my eyes, and I am incredibly grateful to have her in my corner. ~Shannon S~

Review #1 Yelp's 30 Day November Challenge…read more I just went for a massage here yesterday at the physiotheraphy clinic as I was having some lower back pain from sitting/sleeping wrong. I called to book the appointment the day before, the receptionist was really friendly. They were full up for same day massages but she got me in for the next day. Time's usually start at quarter to the hour. A 1 hour massage was $84. including tax, so not bad. When I showed up I told the massage therapist about my back injuries from previous car accidents and she checked out my back, the way I stood and looked at my hips. She told me she'd focus on those areas, my hamstrings, my lower back, my hips, my upper back and shoulders. When she started she putting a heating pad on my lower back to warm it up and moved it around through the massage. It was really nice to get the areas I needed fixed focuses on. Sometimes when you go for a massage they spend so much time doing a full body relaxation massage that you don't end up getting your back worked on enough. Overall it was a great experience and I'll definitely come back.
