My check engine light came on about 2 weeks ago and I was in the process of looking for a mechanic that wouldn't charge an insane amount of money for my fix. I had already reached out and visited 3 other mechanic shops and I kept getting told the same thing and it was frustrating. I walked in and was greeted by David and he was so kind enough to offer a quick look at what I need and suggested some things that I needed to do. I went with his recommendations and once the part for my vehicle came in, I brought it in the following day and they were able to fix my car in a few hours. I was having concerns about my breaks while traveling through Las Vegas, and Bobby fit me in instantly for a break check. It needed front breaks, and the shop did the job in a couple of hours, while Bobby bought me a coffee! Very pleased with all the services, and the labor was $150 + parts and taxes. The review below is right the owner will give you a lengthy rehearsed speech to hook you about treating others fairly and not taking advantage, however he does the complete opposite. He will most definitely not treat you fairly (they charge different based on if you're male or female) and they will most definitely take advantage. They had me do an insurance claim for my car and when the insurance adjuster came they told them something completely different, simply bc he didn't feel like doing it. I was expecting a positive experience here based on previous reviews. Total opposite. This guy was a complete jerk that kept changing pricing. He wouldn't even honor his own online yelp coupon. I wouldn't trust him with a simple oil change. Strikes me as the kind of guy that would charge you for a premium "full-synthetic" oil change but give you the cheap stuff. Fortunately I happened to find an amazing mobile mechanic that did excellent work, on short notice, for less then half the price!!! Contact me and I'll be happy to provide a referral with his contact info. I've posted the yelp coupon that HE created and offered, then would not honor claiming "you can't use that for A/C work". He kept increasing the price to offset the coupon discount he offered. "Well Mr. Douche Bag, I've already paid for it so you might want to re-read the terms YOU set for YOUR coupon!!!". At Max auto care, there is no Max and there is no care. Ali, the owner of the place, is a charmer and talks to you at length about how people should treat each other fairly and not take advantage of others. Beautiful. Then you get an estimate. An unreasonably high one. Not so beautiful. I called my local LA mechanic who said that what I needed to have fixed, per Ali, should cost hundreds less. When I mentioned it to the owner, he said, no longer a charmer, "We don't work for free, you can take your car if you don't like it." I did just that and went to a mechanic who shares a wall with Max Auto No Care, in the same strip mall. This mechanic doesn't work for free either but he fixed my car quickly and well, and charged $300 less. Beware of charm and watch your wallet. read more

I used to think this was a great place for auto repair until recently the owner showed poor customer service after asking if we could speak to his mechanic to confirm an issue with our vehicle. The more we questioned the owner about certain issues about repair or explanation regarding repair the more he became defensive. In the end after he stopped us from speaking with the mechanic he told us to take our key and leave. I understand he's the owner, but he's not doing the actual repair. Ever heard a high pitch noise every time you press on the breaks? Mine started about a month ago and that made scamper towards an auto shop to ask what's with the noise and as it was explained I needed new break pads but I was short of time that day so had to bale. As this is the first time for my car on a break change for the front and back, I had called numerous auto services and repair shops explaining my situation and what service I would like to be done on my car. So, I've been a customer of this shop for around 10+ years and I've always thought a little shady but job gets done and at the price needed. I've sent business to this shop as well. But over this decade, I've witnessed the attitude and the quality of service diminishing rapidly. I recently took my brakes in to be checked, drove the block with tech, found out I needed brake pads ($1000 brake pads) according to certified professionals. Now mind you that's a little high priced but I understand my vehicle may be a little pricey so, I PAID! Off I go. Less the 1.5mos after, my brakes are making noises, brought it in an SUPPOSEDLY faulty pads.. Changed pads, off I go. 2 WEEKS after replaced pads, brakes are now doing the same exact thing.. I make an appointment to return and this time, the tech decides to drive my car himself...I'm VERY in tune with my car folks, VERY! So the tech decides to return after 5-10 minutes of joy riding and after a brief conference with mngmnt, another set of faulty pads.. SO back to being in tune with my car.. The tech decided to really put my brakes to the test.. He drove my car (testing brakes) so aggressively that to this day (3/21/22 @ 12:15pm Monday) my brakes still haven't stopped making noises... louder n LOUDER as my day begins. SO, when I was delivered the news of the 2nd set of faulty brake pads, I was told by the 'forever bowing' owner....stating to me on a Tuesday that he will be ordering the new pads and within a couple days we will call you and have you bring the car back in.. That conversation was 2 weeks ago.. This shop has zero care, especially if the error falls back in their lap.. I'll take that $1000 loss and go elsewhere due to the fact that in the back seat is MY 2yr olds car seat, if something were to happen due to a 3rd set of negligence....let's just say, I've lost ALL TRUST in this shop.. Still NO call or txt from shop concerning NEW faulty pads or even a refund. Blatant disregard for the safety of my family and all who may be on the road.. Decision is yours. read more

This place is great. I chose it because of the five star review and it was no joke. They flushed my AC (that's what it's called, right?) and I was in and out in under an hour for a very reasonable price. Ali is as great as the other reviews say, and he even let me have the remote for the TV. I put on Pawn Stars, if you were wondering. I love Max Auto Care--so much I drive from California to get my service done. A friend in Vegas recommended them. She's a car freak and can do her own work so I trust her. I've had my 90K maintenance done here. I just got my A/C flushed, etc. today. Their rates are reasonable, the work is good and fast. (I was out today within an hour and a half). I'm a real estate agent and love getting a good deal and great service. I'm so lucky I found these guys! They were the only place open on a Saturday and I called them at like 9am. I asked him to diagnose my issue over the phone and he figured it's probably the suspension. My car was shaking a lot after I hit a barrier in a parking lot. I brought it in shortly and Fabian/Favian (I think that was his name?) was very courteous along with Ali in the office. Fabian took my car out for a drive to see what it is, came back quickly and said it was bad. I was prepared for a big fix for a couple hundred dollars. And honestly they could have lied and charged me a lot to fix the suspension. But he showed me that actually my brake was improperly installed, and 2 bolts fell off my wheel. So the front right wheel was coming off and really loose by the time I got it to them. He was estimating $100-120 if that's the only thing. They re-installed my brake rotors, made sure the rest of my wheels were fine, replaced my bolts, and tightened up all the wheels. Fabian took it out for a spin again to make sure nothing's wrong. All good! Total bill was like $4 for the 2 bolts and $100 for labor (was pretty intense trying to get some screws out.) Also, nice waiting room! He gave me water while I waited as well :) Very nice people. Highly highly recommend and I'll be back again! read more

Happy little surprise for me. Car stopped on a dime with no squeaking. In the past I had good work done here but recently I got all 4 struts replaced here because my struts were noisey. It cost me 1200 total, the struts they installed are just as noisy if not more noisey than the struts I had on before. I brought it back to them once and they were unable to make them less noisey. I'm hearing more noise than before I wish I could go back in time and not get the work done I'd have 12 hundred more dollars in my pocket and my struts would be making less noise. Traveling to Las Vegas with my family and about two hours out of town our AC stopped working. Called the shop first thing the next morning and they said to bring our family van in.
