For me, trust and fair pricing are huge factors when choosing a company for ongoing vehicle…read moreservice. Unfortunately, my most recent experience here made me lose that trust. At a previous oil change, I was told that my serpentine belt, along with several other parts, needed to be replaced. Their quote was about $1,000 more than what I could have the work done for elsewhere, so I decided to have the other repairs completed by someone else. At my most recent oil service, the serpentine belt was brought up again as something that needed to be replaced. I told them it has been replaced and I'll get it checked out. However, shortly afterward, the employee came back and told me the mechanic had checked it again and said the belt was actually fine. That immediately made me question things. Then, while checking out, I was asked if there was anything else I needed to have replaced. I was taken aback by that because this company has normally been very proactive about inspecting my vehicle and telling me what they believe needs attention or the integrity of my car overall. I shouldn't have to ask what my vehicle needs...that's part of why I bring it to professionals I trust. I understand that recommending preventative maintenance can come from good intentions. However, this experience left me wondering whether some of the previous recommendations were truly necessary or whether I was being upsold. Do they do a good job with the services they perform? Sure. But when I trust a company with my vehicle, I also need to trust that the repairs being recommended are actually necessary and that the pricing is fair. Unfortunately, once that trust is lost, it's difficult to continue doing business with a company. This will be my likely be my last time here.

So, I checked them out on Yelp, and sure enough, they had a 5 star rating! I immediately called and Bobby, who turned out to be the owner, answered the call. He said bring the car in and he would diagnose it free of charge. So, to make a long story even longer, Bobby and his crew of expert mechanics, jumped through rings of fire to get my A/C working again and even discovered that my fuse box had an internal short that was causing the compressor to kick in and out, and since that part wasn't available on time before we had to head back to Los Angeles, he showed me how to bang the box to get the compressor to start up again! All this effort was done at a very fair price. I would trust Bobby and his crew with any automobile issue. Absolutely first class!

My niece had an issue with her car that we could diagnose, but didn't have the tools to fix. Bobby didn't try to tell us the problem was something else or that he had to run expensive diagnostics, he quickly checked that we were correct and made the fix. Seriously, businesses like Motor City Auto Care are the reason we love Las Vegas.

They kept my car for 7 days & then tells me that they found nothing wrong with it after confirming they smelt gas and a burning smell on the 4th day. My warranty carrier contacted me on the 6th day saying they failed to provide them with a diagnostic report. I called 5 times that day and my car hadn't been looked at! I called at 7:30 am the next morning and Karen put me on hold for over 40 mins. I had to hang up and call back and when she answered she was like oh the phone system up here is hard to navigate which is why she left me hold for so long then she told me to just come get my car as my car is new and she doesn't understand why it is there! She refused to provide evidence that the car was even looked at! Accused me of being argumentative (probably because I am black) because I wanted proof of service/diagnostic report & then proceeded to crack "black" jokes with her mechanic in front of me. I remained professional got my keys and left!. Basically I left with the same issues; and since they kept my car for so long my warranty has expired! And still provided no proof of inspection. I am expecting and putting a newborn in that car has me scared shitless! DO NOT GO HERE! My car is also a lot louder after it being there and seems to be stalling while driving! This is the worst experience I have ever had with a car shop! They bs'd me the whole time and now I have to pay out of pocket for my repairs! And one of the car parts under my hood is covered in oil or some type of thick liquid!

Instead of checking the connectors first, they jumped straight into a calibration. After a long wait they said they couldn't finish because something else was wrong under the seat and wanted another $188 just to take the seat out and diagnose. I took the van back, found a second plug that wasn't fully connected, plugged it in, and the airbag light went off. No calibration needed. While they were hooked up they started a calibration they didn't finish, which turned on the VSC and TRAC lights that were not on when I arrived. I called to have those cleared since they created them. The owner interrupted me, yelled, put his hands in my face, and told me not to come back after it was fixed. Either they missed a simple unplugged connector or they were trying to sell a $188 diagnosis for a plug. Terrible communication and worse attitude. I fixed the original problem myself in minutes after they spent hours and still wanted more money.
