That system is still running strong at about 16 years old. While I know I'll probably need a new unit in the next few years, the fact that this one is still operating speaks volumes about the quality of the original installation and the ongoing care they've provided. Every single time I call, I get an immediate response. The people on the phone are always friendly and kind. Over the years, I've come to recognize and remember some of the team like Lainey, Ben, Steve, and David. I'm terrible with names, but that alone says something. The same people are still there. They show up when they say they will. If they're on their way, they're actually on their way, and they arrive promptly. That's rare for a service company, especially in South Florida. Things happen and schedules get tight, but Mikla's clearly manages their time extremely well. They're efficient, professional, and respectful of yours. What really stands out is how personable they are. When a technician arrives, it feels like you're talking to someone you know, not just a random service call. The technicians are friendly, easy to talk to, and genuinely care. The ladies in the office are always kind and helpful. They've been to my house at least 10 times over the past 16 years, and that kind of long-term relationship matters. You get to know people. When you see the same faces year after year, it tells you the owner and his son are doing something right. They keep their employees happy, and that carries through to the customer experience. If I could give them a thousand stars, I would. Mikla's Air is the only company I recommend for A/C work. Solid people, reliable service, and a genuinely great company.

I'm so lucky our neighbor told us about Reynold's Certified Air Conditioning. Our air conditioning…read morestopped working and was only blowing in hot air. My husband searched and called a company he found online. They charged twice as much to come to evaluate our air conditioner. They said we needed a new fan and motor which, with labor, would altogether cost 2,000.- but they said we should really consider getting a new one for approximately 7k because we'd get free financing for five years and a ten year warranty. My husband insisted we did not need a new one but I did not want to pay 2k to fix it and have no warranty. They told us these were our only two options. After much debate and getting opinions from family who all wanted a new one, a neighbor told us about Reynold's. They charged half the price as the first company and I told them I need someone to come out and prove to my husband that we really do need either a new air conditioning unit or truly explain to him what is wrong with ours because he doesn't believe the first company even tested the motor. They understood and made arrangements to come when my husband could be here. Low and behold they literally just lifted it up, secured it with industrial zip ties and it totally worked. The motor was fine and the fan was fine. They said they could not tell how long it would last but literally that is all they did! So you'd better believe when this thing finally croaks I'm buying my next air conditioner, and every one after that, from Reynold's and I am telling everyone I know (even at the risk that they'll be too busy to come service us)!

I genuinely do not understand how this company has such good reviews because our experience has…read morebeen a nightmare. Back in June, our AC went out in the middle of a South Florida summer. Our house was literally around 95 degrees. We found this company because they had some of the best reviews in South Florida and were told they could come out in 3 days. So we waited 3 miserable days in a basically unlivable house. When they finally came out, we were told our old system (about 10 years) could be fixed, or we could completely replace it. We decided to bite the bullet and spend around $12,000 on a brand new unit because we figured it would save us money in the long run. We were also specifically told the new system should help lower our electric bill. Not even ONE WEEK later, the AC stopped working again. They came back out and told us there was another issue that would cost us a few thousand dollars to clean/fix. Obviously we questioned why this wasn't caught when we had just spent $12,000 with them days earlier. We were basically told it wasn't part of their inspection and was a separate issue. We already felt completely duped at that point, but what choice did we have? We paid it. Fast forward a couple months and our house became absolutely FREEZING. And I don't mean comfortably cold. I mean wearing sweatsuits inside our house in August in South Florida. Our windows were fogging up from the temperature difference. We tried turning the thermostat way up, turning on the heat, everything. Nothing changed. So once again, we called them. This time we were told our thermostat was broken and that our brand new AC had apparently been running at full power nonstop for MONTHS. Another $400. At this point we had spent well over $15,000 with this company and somehow every couple months there was another problem and another bill. While they were fixing the thermostat, FPL actually called us because our electricity usage was so abnormally high that they wanted to make sure something wasn't wrong. We explained the situation and that we had just been told the AC had been running nonstop because of the thermostat. Well, our electric bill came today. $1,000. So much for spending $12,000 on a brand new "efficient" AC system that was supposed to help lower our electric bill. I understand that things break and unexpected problems happen. What I don't understand is spending over $15,000 with one HVAC company in a matter of months and somehow repeatedly ending up with another problem, another service call, and another bill. Maybe other people have had great experiences with them, but ours has been unbelievably frustrating and expensive. At this point I regret ever calling them.
