Started out great, my accountant referred me to this company because they did a great job for him…read more I called ACE Pro on April 1, 2026, this date takes on a rather "sick joke" meaning as time goes on. The call went great, a man came out the next day and looked at our leak, and we got a contract to do our roof, 2 sola-tubes and 2 solar attic fans and new rain gutters. That was April 1st, today is September 23, 2026. the project is finally done and has been nothing but a nightmare. Nearly 5 months of being completely ignored until the company needed another payout, then they would surprise us with a late afternoon call, saying "we'll have a crew out there in the morning". It was as if they had never heard of scheduling. Halfway through, I told the office I wanted the owner. John called me and spoke like he had some sense, but things got even worse after I involved him and I am not sure if it was him or maybe I torqued his staff by asking to speak to him. I wasn't rude or loud; I just insisted that someone call me to give me a heads up about progress and when it will happen. They cannot do that for some unknown reason. Well the Gutter company was awesome and I'll be reviewing them here with praise. I am retired and have owned 2 businesses of my own. I have a notion this company is in financial trouble, and they rush out to me a pay deadline to get the big payment and then they go radio silent on you. It was affecting my health to try to reason with these people. During the hottest months of the year here in S. Florida, this company rushed out to tear off our old roof and install the black rubber membrane required by Fl Law. Mind you this was during the hottest months and now our entire roof is nothing but a black membrane sucking in all the heat it can. This was the way the left our house for over a month. One of our AC units went out after running 24/7 wide open. I have R30 in my attac but the house, especially the closets top shelves were super hot. When I called the company and told them our AC died, the girl was very abrupt: "THAT IS NOT OUR ISSUE IT'S IN OUR CONTRACT". This is how she speaks to a customer who has been left without any updates for weeks on end. Unless you have 6 months to sit around your home, hoping your roofer just might show up today, do NOT HIRE THIS ROOFER. BTW, when they finally installed the roof shingles, they had not installed the solo tube yet. That means they cut away about 6 feet of the rubber membrane that is mandated by our state. The advised me that doing it backwards is ok, which is no relief to me. You've been advised and so has my accountant. REASON FOR AMMENDMENT AND 3 STARS INSTEAD OF ONE I amended my review so I could add details about the workers for this company. They were all wonderful, whoever came out to do the actual work. I set up a seating area under a huge oak tree for the men to eat their lunches. I definitely do not want my earlier notes to reflect poorly on the actual workers. Only the owner and office staff were completely lacking in communication skills. I know what I am talking about, my last job before retiring was Customer Support Manager for a nationwide IT company providing AV recording equipment for courtroom and police departments all across America. This roofing company does ZERO customer updates, they just text one evening, after being radio silent for 2-4 weeks "we'll have someone out tomorrow morning". SMH The first crew that came, I ended up giving their foreman a 12' ladder I no longer used and one fella I gave a rooster for his flock. Every worker that was sent out was a good person, working a hard job. My frustration, as you may understand, was exhausted by waiting 2 weeks to a full month without a peep from the company to let me know when they will come out again. The issue still remains that they took a full 5 and a half months just to replace the roof and install attic fans and one sola-tube. So, the moral of the story is All the onsite workers were great people and we enjoyed each other's company. The office staff and the owner, zero follow through. I would wait anywhere from 2 weeks to a month before calling them for an update and the first words they would all say is "we didn't forget you". All I would say is "I can't tell from here".

There has never been an "upsell" - we've never been told that we need a new roof. The message has always been - this is what's broken and here's how we fix it. I always get a detailed (and understandable) report, usually with arial photos taken by drone. Work has always been done on time and professionally. Once repairs were made we've never had a problem in the same general area. Finally, Mike is the consummate professional. He is a true professional and gentleman. I cannot offer higher praise.

Today (Palm Sunday) we had a leak in the part of the roof Mike hadn't originally installed. I gingerly texted Mike to ask his advice. What I got back was well more than anything I could have expected. Mike called to tell me his supervisor, Travis, was already en route to our house. I then got a call from Travis saying he was twenty minutes out. 18 minutes later, he was at the door. He reviewed the leak inside, got his ladder and climbed up the roof and within ten minutes, was back down and showing me pictures of where he'd determined a dryer vent had let water in. Mike called me back to tell me he had a team he could send. Now. I told him it's Palm Sunday, I don't want to take your guys away from their families. Mike said, they are busy all week, this is my best chance to get this fixed. It won't take more than four hours. I agreed and within an hour, there they were at the door, ready to go. They cleared the tile, laid proper under layers - three layers in total. Then buttoned it all up again and were done within two and a half hours. I got a full set of pictures from Mike explaining every step of what was done. All this would be great on a weekday. But a Sunday? Palm Sunday? I am just in awe. From a customer perspective, it's like having a choice of hiring superheros like Mike and his team, or saying no thank you - I prefer the usual sheisters and snake oil salesmen that typically make up the roofing business. You can spin the wheel and take your chances - but for me - I just feel damn lucky to have found someone who provides this level of service and this quality of work all for a really modest price.

I waited all day and no one showed up and what makes it even worse is that despite my speaking with the estimator and he assuring me that all would be taken care of, they are now saying that this was a favor (unfrigginbelieveable) and was not part of the original work. If you have a small job, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere, the miscommunication, lack of respect and blatant lies were impossible. I just told them to forget it. I have decided to work/pay another company to try and solve the same leak that was supposed to have been fixed several times becasue it is better than dealing with them again.

Eventually the siding was completed and cost more than we had anticipated. So I had to put a hold on a new roof. We still need one, and my bf keeps having roofing contractors come by to give us quotes and I have told him I will not entertain any other place until you get Local Roofing Pro back for a re-quote. When we are ready to get it done, I will almost certainly go with this place. We had like 15 quotes back then. None compared to the PEOPLE and service and price.

We contracted for a new asphalt shingle roof and the project, from teardown to completion, was done in three days. With a little help from the glorious weather! He listed off all the benefits, repeatedly, measured our roof, and spent lots of time with us answering questions. The job itself was done very quickly. I've never gotten a new roof before so I have zero comparison. I trust that they fulfilled their job and gave me a wonderful roof. I do have some feedback for Neal, and I hope this constructive criticism can help them: As soon as our contract was signed, we were not smoothly transferred to our next point of contact at the company. For updates, we of course contacted our initial contact, who explained that he was the salesperson, and now I would have to get my info from a different department. He was very nice about it, and did help me later on (thank you!), and again, he was an incredible and knowledgeable salesperson. But Neal dropped the ball with leading me to the next step, next communication, and next point of contact in this process. I didn't know that the initial contact was not to be my point person all the way throughout. I called the company directly to find out when my permit would be approved, and the person who answered the phone she told me that it had already been approved. I asked when they were going to let me know this, and she flat out told me that they only do this for customers who pay (my loan paid everything in full after the job was completed). This was not a great thing to hear! She meant well, and she kindly explained that they contact those clients because they need to collect payment for the permits, but not a great start to chapter 2 in the process. After that, I still never had a consistent point of contact, and received messages from different people in the company. Multiple Neal representatives consistently texted my phone directly with the intro of: I am FIRSTNAME with Neal Roofing. It would be helpful for them to include their job title! After my roof was done, I called in to Neal to find out when they would send out the wind mitigation inspection that my salesperson had told me was part of what I would pay for. The office person looked up my contract and informed me that they do not pay for this and it was not in my contract. Luckily, I contacted my salesperson and he really came through and arranged this inspection. I am glad I didn't listen to the office person! I really hope these details can help the company with their communication.

I hired Neal roofing to replace my entire roof. The quality of the job is very disappointing…read more 1. They left a gaping hole on the new roof which caused flood in my living room. They sent their crew 3 times after we reported the leak and claimed nothing wrong with roof even the roof continued leaking. They blamed the gutter company. It took the gutter company 10 minutes to discover the hole. Neal roofing repaired the leak only after the gutter company showing them the video where the leak was. You don't expect something like this for a brand new roof. 2. Poor workmanship. They left a ton of debris under the tiles. We happened to be able to spot them over our 2nd floor window. After pointing out to Neal Roofing, they came back and did some cleanup. Try to imagine what could be the situation if we didn't caught them. 3. The contract said Neal Roofing should replace our drip edge with white color. They installed dark brown drip edge without first consulting us. It caused us significant amount of money to have the brown metal scraped and repainted with white. Very bad experience.
