Yesterday, the plastic splash shield under my car came loose and started dragging on the road. It was stressful, inconvenient, and honestly just one more thing I didn't need to deal with right now. I called this Mavis location (Sinking Spring, PA), and they told me to bring the car over. They got me in almost immediately, removed the damaged piece so I could safely drive the car, and explained exactly what I needed to do to get it properly repaired. When I asked how much I owed, they told me there was no charge. What they probably saw as a quick favor was a huge act of kindness to me. Life has been throwing a lot at me lately, and they took this problem that could have been the last straw for me, and they made it disappear. They were patient, helpful, professional, and genuinely kind. Customer service is one thing. Human kindness is another. Yesterday, this team gave me both, and I am incredibly grateful. I had a break down on 222 and they were the closest shop. I made it into their shop just before closing on Saturday so they couldn't get to the car until Sunday morning. They made the repairs on Sunday and had me back on the road at the time they estimated. They were courteous, communicated well, and did all of this while the shop was completely packed with other customers. read more

We ran over a nail on a road trip to PA. We had previously bought all new tires from a Mavis shop in Westchester, NY and paid for a warranty to cover punctures in the tire. Mavis Reading not only didn't honor the warranty but screamed at my husband. They told us that the puncture warranty didn't apply because we didn't rotate the tires. How does rotating the tire prevent a nail from blowing a new tire? We even called the original shop in NY who spoke to the associate manager in Reading and assured him that the tire was covered. The associate manager said he would lose his job if he honored the warranty and shouted "go back to New York if you want a free tire!" We are nice people who just wanted fair service. I went here after my son slashed a tire on a large rock. They upsold me into four new tires when I only wanted two by telling me it would be better for the car and wear and tear. The tires were on the car a total of 7 months and two of them just had to be replaced due to wear! The car was literally driven less than 12,000 miles in the seven months and should have never needed to be replaced so soon! They were supposed to be their "better" tires, hate to see what their cheap tires would be like! Lesson learned I will NEVER go to Mavis again!! read more

What an awful experience with this establishment. I spent 3 days trying to get a tire from them with the end result being NO TIRE!!!! For a company whose whole business model is replacing tires they fail miserably at their job. The repeated lies regarding ordering my tires as well as my request to speak to a manager are what really make this experience awful. This place and the people that work there are the worst. First off the price you see online is not the price they quote you I. Person you have to ask for the lower price. I called them on Monday and said I wanted 2 new tires to replace the ones I bought there about a year ago( there was a gash in one of the (sidewalks) they asked for my phone number which they used to find me in there computer and I said I wanted to replace 2 tires with the same ones I bought before and I was asked when I wanted to come in and was given a 4 appointment when I got there I checked in at the desk and was told they don't have that size in stock. They would order it And was told they would have it between 9-10 the next day because that's when they get there delivers. Do the next day rolls around and I show up at 320 and when greeted at the desk and told them why I was there. I could tell by the gentleman lost look on his face. It was not gonna go smoothly after about 20 minutes of trying to find paperwork on the computer and talking to the gentleman. I talk to the day before I was informed the tire was ordered too late and was not gonna be available until the following day which was Wednesday, so yes to be honest I was mad so I said you gotta be kidding me that's twice I drove to your store. Had my wife wife meet me there so I didn't have to wait and you don't have the tires. I told the gentleman don't I come back Wednesday? I want a 50% off the tires for having to make three trips there he told me that's not how it works and I said it's bullshit. I had to make three trips there inconvenience my wife rearrange some things and there's still no tires available. When he told me I should've called. Well now I'm pissed and said you have a phone it's your job to call the customer. I was told the manger would call me the next day and was asked for my phone number. So now the 3rd day comes and it's noon and no call so I called them and inquired about not receiving a phone call and was told the manger is on vacation. And my tire won't be in until Thursday. Wtf . Don't ever use this place. I contacted the corporate office to file a complaint and will never use them again. All they had to do was offered to give me free mounting and balancing and installation. I still would've gladly paid the 180 699 per tire and tax but was never given any opportunity so they've lost the customer for life. read more

Went in because I had a nail in my tire and expected to just get my tire patched. They came back in and told me I need 4 new tires, an alignment, a break flush, and something with the shocks. I asked how much this would cost and they quoted me for $1163. I told them I just expected to get my tire patched and they said I won't pass inspection or "feel safe" unless I have these services done. I felt pressured into paying way more than what I had gone in for. When I asked if there was anything to not have done at the moment to lower the cost, they again reiterated that I would "feel much safer". The only reason I am giving two stars is because they were nice and told me to have a good day. read more

I've had mixed experiences with Mavis in the past - but this particular location has done a bang up job taking care of me and my car. Went online and found the cheapest tire, which was marketed online as 70. My father went in to get the tire, which they told us the cheapest was 100. They were putting the tire on, then noticed the rim was bent. Told us to get a new rim because putting a tire on a bent rim would ruin the tire, which is fine. They charged me 20 dollars to put the old tire on the rim. They were kind enough to tell us that the rim was bent and let us get a new one, which is why the review isn't one star. I am a college student and every dollar counts to me, so having to pay 30 dollars more than what was advertised on the site was incredibly aggravating, then to find out that I was charged 20 dollars to put the old mangled tire back onto the rim made it worse. It feels very greedy in that I wasn't going to be giving them my patronage at the moment so they had to get at least SOMETHING from me. Like I said, they were very nice in telling us about the bent rim and I am incredibly grateful for it, but false advertising is why I am writing. read more

Very professional and friendly staff. I had new tires put on at Mavis and couldn't be happier with the service and price. I recently ran over something in the road that cause a puncture in my back left tire; luckily I could get my car to Mavis to have a tech look it, but they took me almost immediately. We took our car here to get new front tires, new front brakes, and a new sensor for tire pressure. After we left, the car was doing a weird shake and it was making a strange noise. The tire pressure indicator was on as well so we went back and the mechanic said we had to drive 50 miles for the indicator to turn off. How ridiculous does that sound we took it somewhere else and they found a sensor cable was loose. Moral of the story is whoever they have working there is woefully incompetent. read more

I really love how easy it is to go here. They always have appointments for next day, this is great for me cause I can't plan oil changes ahead of time. I love being able to book an appt online, it's so easy, you can do it after hours & you get a confirmation. You don't have to call & speak to a person. You can leave your car the night before w/the key drop. Also, today I thought they were mischarging me cause it was substantially less than I normally pay when I go there for oil & tire rotation. But low & behold they're under new management & they're doing tire rotations for free! Saved me, a single mom who drives a lot for work, $35!!! And they always have a coupon available online. I brought my vehicle in for 2 tires to be mounted and balanced plus an inspection. Unfortunately, nothing was done because I got a call that they don't know how to get into my vehicle. The keyless doesn't work but the key does. I explained that to them over the phone and 3 people looked at it and still couldn't get into my car using a key. I went and picked up my car getting into with the key they couldn't and am finding a new place to take the car. 3. Mechanics can't open a door with the key but work on vehicles . read more

do not go to Mavis. I was quoted a price of $69 for an oil change was specific about the car model year that I needed the synthetic oil. When I got there I again reiterated I could use the coupon and the year of my car and when I went to check out they charge me $127 and said because of that type of oil they can't use the coupon but it still wasn't even anywhere close to where I was quoted. This is the second time I gave them a chance I am done with all of meiosis and what stinks is now they bought Jack Williams so now there's no good mechanic in the area. read more

Place is a revolving door for staff, people are incompetent and ignorant. Manager of the store downright lied to me about my car's alignment being under warranty and charged me for another after telling me and wrote it in a previous invoice that it was still under warranty but refused to honor what he verbally said and wrote in the invoice. I called the better business bureau to see what can be done about it. Needless to say I won't be going back because I don't trust or deal with facilities like this. read more

I originally was not supposed to go In there but I did and it seems like one of the guys there(mechanic) was more familiar with the front desk duties than the older Man that is there. They did take my car in without an appointment so that's GOOD however I asked about the wipers and how much they were and they were replaced WITHOUT my permission. I did not say anything I think the older man assume that because I ask about the prices I wanted them replaced. I was already a little upset but I did need the change . Then he told me one price but then I almost got charged another one ; for the wipers but they did honor what they said at first . My bill WITH a "$10" coupon with wipers and all came out to $105. Still a little too high for Hyundai Veloster ! I didn't save thought I could try something new yet I don't know where all the extra charges are coming from; the change of oil I was told would be for full synthetic with coupon 63.00. I will not be returning ... I think the miscommunication and not asking permission for the wipers threw me off big time . Bought tires from here. Got suckered in to getting a Mavis Credit card, G Got approved, but then was told I couldnt use the card that same day i was supposed to. They made.me pay out of pocket and my card would be in the mail in 7 to 10 days. They had me on the phone with synchrony bank to verify my identity so i could get approved. They should have told me that since i changed my address that i couldn't use the card that same exact day i wanted to. Horrible, horrible customer service amd they did nothing to try and help me. No discount, no payment options. Now i have a mavis card which i will never use. Thanks for the credit hit and worthless service. Never again. This was on State Hill Road in Sinking Spring. Second time here and now I'm annoyed. First time I made an appointment to get new tires, showed up at my appointment time and they couldn't find me in the computer, whatever I'll go somewhere else. Time number 2 I just needed replacement inspection stickers because my windshield broke where my stickers were and I replaced it the day before. They are "too busy" to print out some stickers, a job that takes all of 30 seconds. Just pure laziness. read more
