Really good rootbeer…read more Stopped at the Sinclair station to fuel up and decided A&W would fit the bill for a quick meal. Curbside parking in front of the convenience store. Enter the restaurant thru the store. They have a new order kiosk. A menu board is over head or scroll thru the kiosk. Sandwiches are customizable. No condiments, extra cheese, add bacon (or extra bacon) if you want or if you are very hungry add another beef patty to the burger. Once you have customize your meal, take a table tent if dining-in or select take-out and pay by card. We were handed cups by a staff member and filled them at the soda machine. They also have Mt.Dew, Pepsi and orange Crush if rootbeer is not your jam. This is really good rootbeer though. Took about 10 minutes for the same employee to bring out our meal. The burger has that cooked over a flame grill taste. The bread is soft. Pickles crunchy. Plenty of cheese. The fries are nice and crunch on the outside. Everything was hot when received. A&W also serves hot dogs and chicken plus onion rings, cheese curds and desserts. Salt, pepper, hot sauce, ketchup, mustard and mayo packets are available by the napkins and soda lids. They share restrooms with the convenience store. This was a good, quick 'on-the-road stop' for fuel, food and a bathroom break.

The food menu is small, but it's a dive bar not a restaurant. Their beer selection is pretty good too. Tap wise it's small but they have a good selection of bottles.

Some locals were playing pool and the waitress treated us like we were in that same category. Onto the food - they server two mains, burgers and hot dogs. We both went with the burgers. Cooked perfectly and we savored every bite. The wife went with a double cheeseburger with bacon and I went with the classic Star burger - two patties and a krautwurst. Notably my wife doesn't like bacon all that much but she ate every single bite of the double burger and did not even give me wee bit of bacon. Chips were chips, just fine. It is a cash only (and Venmo) and they even have an ATM, just in case. Have not seen one of those outside of Vegas in years. Can't say enough good things about stopping in to grab a burger or dog, soak up the atmosphere and just relax for it. Comprehensive beer menu but we did not partake that day.

We were seated at a table in far end of the room. Once seated it's hard to get in and out from the wall seat because the table are pretty close together. I ordered the Spinach, Mushroom and Swiss 4 Egg Omelet. They asked me if I wanted 2 or 4 eggs and I chose 4. As a substitute for the potatoes, I opted to choose the avocado which came as a slice 1/2 of avocado. For my toast option, I chose the single pancake, but could also have chosen a scone. The scone wasn't on the menu as a option, so I missed this when I ordered. My omelet was very flavorful, although a bit dense. I attributed that to the 4 eggs fitting into a 2 egg form factor, but I really don't know that for sure. The avocado was a good complement to the omelet and worked out very well. The pancake was delicious. There was syrup on the table and butter came on the plate. I gobbled it right down and thought that I maybe should have got another one. I have eaten here before when I was in the area, and will likely return again when up here. The busy nature of the restaurant is offset by the good quality food.
