I was excited to give it a try since gluten-free options can sometimes be difficult to find in Albuquerque. When we arrived, they weren't too busy. I looked over the menu and narrowed my choices down to The Kind sandwich or the Not'Chos with chicken. I explained to the person taking our order that I have a gluten allergy and asked about the ingredients in both items, as well as what precautions they take when preparing gluten-free sandwiches. Unfortunately, he really didn't have a clue. He had no idea about any thing I was asking. He did say everything is prepared in the same area and that the sandwiches all go into the same oven/toaster together. I was really disappointed to hear this. It's frustrating, simply offering gluten-free bread doesn't make an item safe for people who medically need to avoid gluten. The employee taking our order had no idea what cross-contamination precautions meant when I asked about them. After asking several questions, I decided that the Not'Chos seemed like my safest option. I was told they are placed in the oven on their own paper, so although I was still hesitant, I decided to give them a try. Unfortunately, I became sick shortly after eating them. My husband and daughter enjoyed their food, so I can't speak negatively about the food in general. However, based on my experience, I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone with celiac disease, a gluten allergy, or anyone who needs to strictly avoid gluten. I really hope they consider providing better employee training and putting proper cross-contact precautions in place, since they are advertising gluten-free options.

We ordered: The Crazy Cuban Sandwich The Chicken Guy Classic Sandwich Bacon Mac n Cheese Burger Flavortown Fries Chocolate Whiskey Cake My favorites were the fries and the cake. The fries have this incredible seasoning and are cooked perfectly. The cake is decadent and tastes a lot like a coke cake, very moist and velvety. My husband enjoyed the Cuban and Bacon Mac N Cheese Burger a lot! I tasted the Bacon Mac N Cheese burger and there was just too much going on for my taste. There is lots of everything on it, but the meat tasted chargrilled which I liked. The one let down was the chicken sandwich. I've been into chicken sandwiches lately so I was really looking forward to this one and it was way over cooked to the point of being super hard and dry. I literally took two bites and threw the rest away. Overall it was a good experience, it is quite spendy for fast food but I figure it's worth it for fast food done right!

We sat outside but not the patio. The back yard was very nice. Trees, grass, serene with tables under a big tent structure. Wait staff: Leo was very good, beverage s came quickly, requests met with a smile. I had a problem with my meal and he saw the problem right away. Food: well, here's the second issue fir me. I had the traditional Benny. I read the good review. The first eggs were hard boiled. I could have made deviled eggs. But Leo got them remade and broght out with very little wait. The kale salad was good and I really liked the pickled onion in it. The potatoes were perfectly cooked and were very tasty. But the main dish, the Benny, was so disappointing. The sauce was on the sweet side and it tasted like sweet cream with no other distinguishing flavors. It was also very thin. I prefer a more traditional flavor, a more flavorful flavor if you will. It was just so bland! If this is their standard benny...well, just disappointed. I usually try a place at least a couple of times and different food but I'm not sure I would bother here as the terrible parking lot, loud interior, and frankly inferior Benny makes me wonder about their other offerings. It's close to home and I really wanted to like it but no. Prices are on the high side but if the food is good that is not a deal breaker. Three stars because of bland Benny and bad parking lot.
