Immediately I felt at ease with her and sensed she could handle any issues that would arise. The short-term returned at 27.6 pCi/L and the long-term at 12.1 ± 1.6 pCi/L. These results are horrifying! After some research on mitigation specialists, I decided on Smart Space Atlanta. Within 48 hours after installation of the mitigation system, which was pretty much custom since I requested they conceal the system running it through my floors and ceiling versus outside alongside my house, my radon average was 0.3. Fast forward to two years later, I tested two separate areas of the basement with short-term test conducted by Alpha Energy Labs. The room furthest away from the mitigation system returned at Less than 0.9 pCi/L and the main area of the returned at less than 0.7 pCi/L. These are pretty amazing results! He was being unreasonable, unprofessional, and not holding himself accountable. We paid $10,000 for our crawlspace to be encapsulated in 2023. I would think the key aspect of…read morekeeping the crawlspace dry is the dehumidifier. The one this company installed in 2023 quit working in 2024 after the one year warranty expired and I had to pay $1,000 to have another one installed. March 2025 the dehumidifier quit again. I called and they sent a technician out here and he said the company no longer uses those dehumidifiers. He inferred that they are of substandard quality and if I purchased another it would be quite expensive. He checked the dehumidifier and said my electrical outlet had switched it off. So, I paid an electrician to replace the outlet with one that doesn't automatically switch off. The dehumidifier continued to quit working. So, I asked an HVAC company to come and check it out. He said the dehumidifier is fills with water and cuts off because it isn't draining properly. He emptied it out and said it hadn't been correctly installed. He said it needed a condensation pump and the tubing needed to be replaced. I tried to reach someone at Crawlspaces and More and for weeks never received a return call. I finally received an email from Jim and he said he would come out and make sure the dehumidifier was on and charge me $200. I told them to forget it. I called a reputable company and they installed a very nice dehumidifier and replaced the door to my crawlspace. Ours was wood and rotted because it was decades old. They said Crawlspaces and More should have replaced it to thoroughly encapsulate the crawlspace. The new company installed a custom fit door that is air tight and sealed. I would not recommend Crawlspaces and More.

Used to clean a mattress, a recliner, and a wing chair used in assisted living home to prepare for charity pickup. On the opposite side of the room, the baseboard was pulled up when this had NO issue with mold or anything. In the process, the bar they used to remove the baseboard had punctured the wall deep and in some cases turned the drywall to mush because they pushed it in beyond what they needed. The primary reason this gets 2 stars is due to a MAJOR lack of communication! After they setup shop and got the equipment in, I had to do the all the leg work to find out why they weren't here at the time promised. In every case, they showed up a minimum of 2 hrs late in each instance. In once instance, they never even showed up. All I care about is I am kept in the loop because things happen. I got this whole song and dance about working till 2am etc, which as a customer, I couldn't care less about. Just call me at 9am and tell me you won't make it. So overall, I had to arrange for scheduling when the manager of the job should have handled that. The final reason for low stars is that when the techs arrived, they didn't even KNOW WHAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO on that particular day!!!! I'm sorry but I have to question how many people actually work locally here in Alpharetta GA. To me it feels like only 6 people work there and they simply don't talk to each other. The job estimator never told the workers what he quoted, and the manager also had no idea. So between the workers, the manager of the job and estimator, there is no doubt any of them spoke to each other ever. I mean WOW! Talk about a serious lack of customer service! Sadly, I wish I could give more stars because they truly cleaned it all out very well, but that was only because I had to keep leaning on them to talk to me about when they were gonna show up, then call them again and again asking, "where are you?" Then having to call the job estimator was worse because the manager and crew had no idea what he had quoted to be done. I didn't have an issue with the actual techs who came out but rather the management of the job and management in general. Thankfully, we worked it out as adults without any words of regret.

So she berated her employees on the phone in front of me instead of admitting that she didn't inspect anything. The second go-round has still left a ton of untouched areas.
