BUYER BEWARE!!!! What looks like a nice golf cart is a lemon. We have had the cart 1 year and it has been in their shop 4 times and over two months in total. We get a different answer for the same issue every time and they refused a refund. Buy elsewhere. read more

Don't ever go here. Needed new batteries so stopped and ask. Man said just a minute and I will check and make sure we have them. Yes good news. After they had my cart a week I called and got the run around. After two weeks I got more bs. After three weeks I said I wanted my cart back with or without batteries. Five days later I got cart. I tried to buy a Ranger 2+2 in mid May 2024 at the Fort Myers Store with my Friend. My friend who has bought many installment items through the years was approved on his Ranger 2+2 purchase. I was declined. I was turned down due to not having any records of Installment credit in the last 20 years by the loan company that Matt's uses. I'm 83 and moved to Fort Myers in 2001. I paid cash for my home then. I have paid cash for two boats one was a new premier 22' pontoon. I also paid cash for a new Acura 2015 RDX. My pervious golf cart was a GEM 2008 E2 model. I also pay cash for that. Over my 23 years in Florida I have bought many air conditioners, roof's and other Items such as large TV's and furniture and also paid cash. Now in my soon to be 83 year on this earth. It appears all those cash purchases were a mistake? My biggest complaint with the two very young lady's at the Fort Myers office were more interested in broming me and my friend out as it was five pm and quitting time was 5:30. Apparently they are not Commission paid sales people. I would have offered some suggestions as to down payments if given a chance. I was trying to qualify for a very nice zero interest 4% only down payment 36 month loan that Matt's has advertised. I would have offered a larger down payment if given a chance by the two sales ladies. But it was too close to quitting time. I do have a 15 year deposit, savings and credit card history at Suncoast Credit Union. The girls told me my credit card payment history was no good. Admittedly at this late date in my life my cash balance is not as large as it was. I could apply for a loan at my credit union. But, their 9% interest rate is not as good as Matt's advertised 0% is! Matt's Evolution carts are way ahead of the companion. And priced very competivly in this market. I reside in a 1,400 gated community (Del Tura Country Club), I would like to be a happy Matt's golf cart owner advertising my satisfaction of my Matt's cart purchase. read more

I have called this company in Punta Gorda 4 times over the last four days and left messages. I am aware of labor shortages, but there is no excuse for a continued failure to return the call Earlier (before the four calls) they answered the phone and told me they were running over two weeks late on pickup. They said someone would call and arrange a home visit. They never did. I told them I wanted to buy a new cart. They showed no interest. I wouldn't buy a cart from them for$10.00. They are disrespectful and obviously disorganized read more

Customer service SUCKS, repairs take forever, they don't have mechanics who actually do the repairs. Make customers wait months for repairs. Doesn't stand by what they sell. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. GO TO GATOR GOLF YOU WONT BE RIPPED OFF less then 1 star read more

Stay away from this place horrible customer service ever since we got our evolution d5 from them it's been problem after problem not only with the cart but trying to get repairs they take weeks and even months to "fix the problem" just for me to fork out another 400$ to get it there and bring it back and realize that they didn't do jack sh*t when I called about my brakes that were terrible they said that's how they drive after that I took it to my local golf cart mechanic and he fixed them made them feel amazing every time I call they say they'll get back but never do what I've been doing is just buying the parts myself and taking to my local mechanic if I could go back I would have never bought from them I give them a one star because I can't give them zero read more

My wife and I purchased an Evolution 4 Pro in March 2021. We have been very pleased with our golf cart and enjoy riding around our Briarcliff Community in Fort Myers. Recently I noticed that the rear bench seat was separating from the base (ie screws coming off of the wood). Our customer service representative at the Fort Myers location, Yaquelin was most helpful and after providing video/pictures of the issue contacted the manufacturer on our behalf. A new and improved rear bench panel arrived and my bride did an excellent job swapping the cushions out. read more

STAY FAR FAR AWAY from this company. They're selling carts as if they're LSV's but they are not. They have 4 locations but come to find out only two of them can legally sell LSV's. We purchased ours from the Stuart location and was told it was an LSV street legal and to take the invoice to MVA to get our tag. Sooooo, turns out the cart has everything to make it street legal except a proper vin# of 17 digits. The cart has an ID# with 9 characters. The Stuart location is not licensed to sell street legal LSV's. The owners brother in-law Juan lied to us just to get a sale. I went back to Matt's and spoke with another person by the name of Tom. He also claims to be Matt's brother in-law. After initially claiming he had the license to sell a street legal cart, he finally admitted that he didn't and proceeded to hand me a blank bill of sale and told me to complete it with whoever's name as seller I wanted, like Bob Barker or Chuck Woolery, and bring this invoice to MVA and discard the original invoice. I have found a company that can get me a vin# for $550 in order to get a tag from the MVA. What a pain...I need to rent a trailer in order to bring the cart to the shop. The owner of the company that can get me the vin# told me he's getting many customers that purchased carts from the same company, Matt's Custom Golf Carts, with the same story. They tell you you're purchasing an LSV cart and to just take your invoice to MVA to get your tag. We are reporting this to BBB and to the State of Florida Dealer Licensing Division. STAY FAR AWAY!!!!!!!! read more

We needed a golf cart with rain curtains. We needed to have rain curtains because it would be stored outside. After negotiating to the highest priced cart we paid cash. If your saving money go here and then hire another shop to put the cart together properly so you don't waste time and have to push your cart home multiple times before finally giving up and calling B&W Golf Carts. You'll wait for delivery, your title won't come with the cart so you won't be able to insure it for a month and a half and then it will break several times before you give up and go elsewhere. There are some real problems here. read more

I had a lot of custom work done to my cart and they completed the work on a frame that was completely rusted away, never told me and charged me a lot of money. Never fixed the original problem with the engine which was cutting out every time I took it out in the community and had to push it back. I wouldn't recommend talking a skate board to these thieves! I wouldn't have given one star but had to so I could post this read more

The worst business I Punta Gorda! Not only do they continue to bait and switch on repair services, they admitted in complaint to Better Business Bureau that the person handling my repair and negotiating the price WAS A MINOR. Unlawful for minor to enter into a contract! I was given one price for battery replacement at my home I was called next date by same minor who said his manager had changed the price up to $150 more for same service! I refused Then I was called by alleged owner who left message. After being told he was on another call over a dozen times and would get back to me, NATURALLY CALLS NEVER RETURNED AND I WAS DENIED SPEAKING TO HIM!!! This is an example of a company trying to take advantage of seniors and making money by reneging on contracts! DONT GO THERE!!!! WORSE SERVICE IN FLORIDA!!!!! read more

Purchased 4 golf cart tires and rims 10 inch, Look really nice. After storing in the garage for a week, one nite we decided to go for a ride. 2 of the tires were flat. Called them and asked them to fix the 2 tires, reseat them. They said they don't have the ability to reseat anything less than 12 inches, they offered no remedy and told me to find some place that will do it. read more

Bought a brand new cart and after 9 miles there was a terrible sound coming from the right front we contacted them and they told us to send a video. it was a 5 second video. we had to call back a few times and they said it was a bearing they picked the cart up about 2 weeks later and have had it since. About 9 weeks later no cart , never a phone call every time we call it's a different story and always catching them in lies The best was we went one day after they told us that morning that the cart was on the lift that morning. We got there at about 4:30. They then said ours was next to go on the lift and the mechanic asked us what was wrong with it. I've never experienced anything like this in my life they've had our 13k cash for all this time at this point I just want my money back read more

You have to be very careful when you attempt to purchase a golf cart from someone that outright misinforms you you of everything about what the cart is. they are powder coated metal frames made in China assembled in California Nikki will totally try to lie to you. Just asking her for information made her mad and very combative it was probably the worst sells person I ever dealt with in my life and I was a salesman. Just check out her reviews. On Google she has some very mixed reviews as we later found out they pay 100 for good Google reviews.I would find it hard to believe they had any real constructive reviews after shoping with Nikki. I have never been treated with such disrespect in my lifeAnd in my heart and soul I believe they would screw you in a new York minute if she was involved in any service needs you would have. I feel like anyone getting ready to purchas a 12,000 golf cart deserves the truth about the service dealer and they are the bottom of the barrel bases on what I saw and have read. read more

We decided we wanted a golf cart and I wanted to know the differences before purchasing. We visited Matt's Custom Golf Carts twice. The staff was sweet, knowledgeable and helpful. They even switched the seats from one cart to the next so I could decide which cart and color combination was my favorite. The delivery was on time and again the person took the time to explain everything about the cart to us. The price was fair and I love the fact that it is Made in America! I would definitely recommend this company. read more

We just moved to Ft. Myers one month ago. We visited their fort Myers location on a strong recommendation - with time to kill on a rainy day - great selection and super, super friendly and knowledgeable staff. We weren't planning to buy on this visit, but we did. Everything was great with them except the delivery. It has been a week after paying them cash - it looks like well over a week, maybe two. Shame on me for not pressing them on nailing down what "an early next week" delivery means when I wrote them a check. We have company coming in two days. They tell me Friday is the probably best they can do. Hopefully. After we were impressed with everything at Matt's, I feel hung out to dry. Get me my cart early this week (yesterday) and I'd gladly amend my review. read more

The delivery was included and within one week I had my new golf cart!! When we had a question on how something works on the screen they answered immediately the same day. We haven't had any other issues but we know that they'll be there for us if there ever are any issues or questions. Thank you Matt's custom golf carts! Highly recommend!!!!!!!!! read more

Promised $100 discount from salesperson at time of purchase, but when we did the paperwork, he would not honor his promise, spoke to the GM Hollwood and he said he would refund me the $100 plus a $45 fee we were charged with, but we had to wait for the New Year (bull) so after 3 calls and messages left plus emails no response back. We started noticing our battery ( lithium) their best recommended battery, started to lose charge. Battery would be 100 % charged and drop to 40% within 1 mile. Matt's had it picked up the last of August first of September and said they would have it diagnosed and make appropriate repairs. Since then we have heard one excuse after another, from giving it a bump charge to a part that tells the battery it's about to lose charge and shutting down the cart. Bump charge didn't work and the other part was not defective. We have been told they're waiting on a tech from the Evolution company to the regional manager. We've been told they're waiting on a response from headquarters to fix the components in the battery to replacing the battery. This actually has been told to us a two different occasions. The last contact was a week ago. The message was .... Good news Richard, the techs are taking your battery or parts to their head office to repair or replace. GOOD NEWS?? They know the battery is bad , why didn't they bring a new battery with them! I asked them that question and their response was we we're wondering the same thing? They've had our cart almost 4 months for a BATTERY ISSUE!!!!!! If you can't honor your warranty in a timely manor you have no business being in business period! Matt's blames everything on the Evolution company. We have turned them in to the BBB and now on to the attorney general's office. read more

I went into the Fort Myers store and they were very helpful, but they did not have the color I was looking for. They found the color in the Punta Gorda store and said they could set it up for delivery. Everything was great at that store. But when I called the Punta Gorda store after the purchase to find out when they could deliver, the lady on the phone was very rude and said would call back the next day. She did not, so I called again 2 days later. Again she would not say when they could deliver and someone would call me back. Then 2 days later someone finally called and said they would deliver the same day. Well I was not prepared that day, but I made some arrangements and made it happen because who knows when anyone would call again. It was a gift for my mom and it was supposed to be a surprise and we would have it at her house before she arrived. But it came a day after she got home, so it was not the planning that I had it mind. She does love the cart. read more

Bought a refurbed cart from here and took the $700 insurance policy. Battery light kept flashing so I called them and was told not to pay attention to that light that "those lights never work".
