The half day on the water with Captain Evan and First Mate Amdrew, was more like being taken out by a couple of friends and not a tourist trip. Very sincere conversation about the area and truly went above and beyond to give fulfilling trip. While out on the island shelling, they carry chairs out for everyone and put up umbrellas for all the groups. Even if you were not sitting there at the moment. Was really nice to come back to. We enjoyed just sitting on the beach of the island as much as the shelling. They made only one mention of appreciating tips if you enjoyed yourself. No tip bucket, no signs posted asking for tips. They earned a tip and would have gotten it even without a mention. The few poor rating reviews posted here you will notice were years ago. No way that can be who is running this now. Treat yourself and take the shelling trip

We opted to take our lunch and spend more time exploring. Our destination was Foster Bay, and it did not dissapoint!! We saw a bull shark, manatee, dolphins, birds, and all kinds of fish. Captain John and Carolyn provided us with the best shelling trip we could have asked for. We chose…read morethe 6 hour tour and wanted to do 100% shelling. One of the islands, Hickory Preserve I believe, I'm not sure of the exact name, was awesome. It was planned it as our first stop, and when we arrived, we found ourselves to be the only ones there. There were beautiful, perfect shells everywhere: conchs, whelks, alphabet cones, wormies, murexes, and even unseparated cockle shells (I actually thought it was a different type of shell because I had never seen an unbroken pair before). I could barely take one step forward without having to stoop down again (I'm glad I left my sand dipper on the boat, because it was completely unnecessary). On our way back to the dock, he took us to see manatees, and it was pretty much the perfect end to both our excursion and our trip to Sanibel. We got close enough to take photos and videos without bothering them, and we even got to see two eating together (I think he said they were eating the algae off the dock post). There were just so many extra kind gestures that Carolyn and John extended to us, just top notch customer service and friendliness overall that made me feel very spoiled. Photos of our day were uploaded to a Dropbox account for us to download, we didn't have to waste time transferring shells to our bags because we got to keep the buckets, a thank you postcard was sent to us in the mail. Thank you, Captain John and Carolyn, it was an amazing day!

Absolutely love this hotel. This was our first time back since hurricane ian. The service we…read morereceived from front desk and most staff was amazing. The managers were so attentive and every time we passed by checked in on us to see what activities we had done or suggest new activities for us to do. We loved the kayaking and paddle boards - also rented jet skis 2 separate days. Getting day passes for additional guests was super easy. Love the ease of the bracelets doing everything, being the key, room charge, proof we belong - super easy for everyone to keep track Of! The complimentary breakfast was "ok" nothing spectacular, but still decent. The guy who collected the towels by the pool (seemed like a manager/lead) was rude every single day - to the point we waited to take our towels back a few times to avoid another interaction. We will definitely be back!

The entire area was clean, right on the beach, and the staff was friendly everywhere we went. The resort offers a ton of amenities: free kayaks, bikes, paddleboards, lounge chairs, and umbrellas. They also have paid options like fishing charters and other nearby excursions. There are three pools total -- two family pools and one adults‑only pool -- plus a couple of hot tubs. Our room was amazing. We were on the first floor with a perfect view of the beach. The adults‑only pool was right in front of our balcony, so we could relax, listen to the music, or join the trivia games happening throughout the day. The room itself was spacious and included a kitchenette with a stove, which made it easy to cook if we wanted to. You can stay busy here or do absolutely nothing -- we chose the "chill" route. There are two restaurants and a bar on the property, but if you want more options, you can walk about 15-30 minutes (rough estimate) or drive 2 mins (fyi paid parking) to the main strip with plenty of shops and restaurants. The front desk also told us about a trolley that runs for $0.75 each way or $2.00 for an all‑day pass. Everything was close by, we didn't get in our car until it was time to head home. We'll definitely be coming back. It's a little on the pricier side, but with everything included -- and probably more that I'm forgetting -- it's absolutely worth it.
