I had an amazing time renting a Moke from Moke and Cabana club in Sanibel. If you're not familiar…read morewith them, a Moke is like a small electric Jeep or a tricked out golf cart basically. It's street-legal, can seat four people, and has a range of about 60 miles. It's got a California and beach vibe that's super fun! It can reach speeds of around 35 mph. We booked our Moke online, chose the color we wanted, and filled out the forms. The next day, they delivered it to the Sanibel Camber of Commence. It was ready at 9 am, so I hopped in and drove off! We spent the entire day exploring Sanibel and Captiva. It was so much fun and easy to use. You can put the top down, but we left it up for shade since the sun was shining brightly. There are no doors so it's super easy to get in and out, and you can feel the nice ocean breeze whisking by! It's definitely an attention-getter too - everyone looks at it and asks questions. I don't regret doing this at all. I would love to rent one again! The process was so easy and smooth. We dropped it off at 5 pm, and we put almost 60 miles on it. The battery was about 1/4 or a little more.

Captain John and Carolyn provided us with the best shelling trip we could have asked for. We chose…read morethe 6 hour tour and wanted to do 100% shelling. One of the islands, Hickory Preserve I believe, I'm not sure of the exact name, was awesome. It was planned it as our first stop, and when we arrived, we found ourselves to be the only ones there. There were beautiful, perfect shells everywhere: conchs, whelks, alphabet cones, wormies, murexes, and even unseparated cockle shells (I actually thought it was a different type of shell because I had never seen an unbroken pair before). I could barely take one step forward without having to stoop down again (I'm glad I left my sand dipper on the boat, because it was completely unnecessary). On our way back to the dock, he took us to see manatees, and it was pretty much the perfect end to both our excursion and our trip to Sanibel. We got close enough to take photos and videos without bothering them, and we even got to see two eating together (I think he said they were eating the algae off the dock post). There were just so many extra kind gestures that Carolyn and John extended to us, just top notch customer service and friendliness overall that made me feel very spoiled. Photos of our day were uploaded to a Dropbox account for us to download, we didn't have to waste time transferring shells to our bags because we got to keep the buckets, a thank you postcard was sent to us in the mail. Thank you, Captain John and Carolyn, it was an amazing day!

Absolutely love this hotel. This was our first time back since hurricane ian. The service we…read morereceived from front desk and most staff was amazing. The managers were so attentive and every time we passed by checked in on us to see what activities we had done or suggest new activities for us to do. We loved the kayaking and paddle boards - also rented jet skis 2 separate days. Getting day passes for additional guests was super easy. Love the ease of the bracelets doing everything, being the key, room charge, proof we belong - super easy for everyone to keep track Of! The complimentary breakfast was "ok" nothing spectacular, but still decent. The guy who collected the towels by the pool (seemed like a manager/lead) was rude every single day - to the point we waited to take our towels back a few times to avoid another interaction. We will definitely be back!

The entire area was clean, right on the beach, and the staff was friendly everywhere we went. The resort offers a ton of amenities: free kayaks, bikes, paddleboards, lounge chairs, and umbrellas. They also have paid options like fishing charters and other nearby excursions. There are three pools total -- two family pools and one adults‑only pool -- plus a couple of hot tubs. Our room was amazing. We were on the first floor with a perfect view of the beach. The adults‑only pool was right in front of our balcony, so we could relax, listen to the music, or join the trivia games happening throughout the day. The room itself was spacious and included a kitchenette with a stove, which made it easy to cook if we wanted to. You can stay busy here or do absolutely nothing -- we chose the "chill" route. There are two restaurants and a bar on the property, but if you want more options, you can walk about 15-30 minutes (rough estimate) or drive 2 mins (fyi paid parking) to the main strip with plenty of shops and restaurants. The front desk also told us about a trolley that runs for $0.75 each way or $2.00 for an all‑day pass. Everything was close by, we didn't get in our car until it was time to head home. We'll definitely be coming back. It's a little on the pricier side, but with everything included -- and probably more that I'm forgetting -- it's absolutely worth it.
