We have recently moved and we're looking for a new mattress. CJ welcomed us into the store and fitted us for a new mattress and pillows. He worked within our price range, and helped us get the most for our money. I did not feel as though I was being upsold or swindled, and we left happy. The store sales associate, Jake was great! I give him FIVE STARS for his professionalism and knowledge of mattresses I tried. I did buy an expensive set, along with two pillows and a mattress protector. Over 6,000 dollars total. The problem was the "white glove" delivery service, was so POOR that there are not enough words to describe all that went wrong. A Mattress Warehouse truck from the store was not used, but an outside delivery service called CTS Delivery, but since Mattress Warehouse uses their service, they should have made the issue right without having me do their work. In addition, after the workers left, I went back to the store to explain all the mishaps of the delivery. I took my neighbor with me who witnessed the pillow falling out of the box and being stuffed back into the box and the worker sitting them on the wet ground along with the mattress being pushed out of the truck and falling onto the wet road. The ground was wet, because it had rained earlier. One worker pushed the mattress from the truck which fell onto the wet ground. Yes, it in a box, but hello, "white glove"? As the two men were moving the the mattress up the stairs, I told them to be careful. I am sure they didn't hear me because the older worker was yelling something to the other worker in Spanish. They ended up scraping across the recessed light plate causing marks and damaged an area of the ceiling in the NEW drywall that had just been done by my contractor. Communication was poor because English was not their first language, so I understood very little. When I pointed out the damage, I was called a LIAR to my face (that I understood and did not appreciate) and they denied doing it, saying I just wanted my whole house fixed. I will have to assume they said this because my home had undergone some renovations, which were COMPLETED and I was waiting for the painters to paint the remainder of my walls and ceiling. I did say, "Excuse me, why would I want money to have my "whole house fixed" when the work was just done, which was why I was warning you to be careful?" And yes, now it has to be redone in that area. Also, one of the pillow boxes was busted up, which I asked about, but again could not understand his answer. AND when he brought the boxes upstairs to my bedroom, he sat the wet boxes (unknown to me at the time) on my brand new dresser. I picked them up and saw the bottom was wet and that's how I discovered it. The older man did call someone on the phone who he spoke to in Spanish, so I don't know what was said and he handed me the phone where she spoke to me in English to explain to her the damage they caused. A claim was put in and this was the result: NOTHING! WHY! Because I was sent an email asking for THREE estimates from licensed contractors. I sent an email back explaining all that happened and I have one licensed contractor who would give them an estimate. I explained that this was their workers fault, I don't have the time to take off work for me to find two other licensed contractors to come to my home and provide 2 additional estimates. After I sent the email, there was no response other than a repeat email of the first saying now I only have 15 more days to respond or the claim will be considered closed. I called Mattress Warehouse this past Monday, 5/22/23. I was told the delivery service was off on Mondays, they would pass my message along and call me back. Today is 5/27/23. Surprise: No phone call. And no response to my email other than a generic standard email telling me what I had to do for them. I sent the same email to cbarber@sleephappens.com AND dispatch@sleephappens.com I am letting the claim expire. Because I don't have the time to take off work and have two additional contractors come out to my home to provide estimates, I had the ceiling fixed by my contractor at my expense, because I needed to have it done so the painters can come in and do their job. To conclude because the adjustable frame bed height was set to the highest level, I could barely get on the bed. Another communication fail where I was told it was "lower" The sales associate, Jake came out on his day off and took off a set of legs which lowered the bed by 3 inches. If you purchase anything to be delivered from Mattress Warehouse, make sure you ask which delivery service they are using. I assumed the store used their own people and not an outside service. So ask first and don't use CTS delivery! read more

Was told Nectar is the ONLY mattress that can be returned. Not true! It can be exchanged with their comfort care of course to buy another mattress. If I would've went through Nectar directly... I would've been able to return this God awful mattress I hate and get a sleep number that my husband and I both would be happy with! Was lied to and haven't slept good in over 2 months! I called beforehand to make sure they had twin beds in stock as we had just left a different location that didn't have any on hand. Jake said he did and even gave me the price of the cheapest he had (exactly what I asked about) 30 minutes later I walk in and am greeted right away by Jake and he takes me right to the back to show me the mattress we spoke about. he was able to price match the online sale price and I was in and out in 5 minutes (which is perfect as my husband was in the truck with two sleeping babies). I was super impressed with Mattress Warehouse and the sales rep, (Nick) at the S. Queen store in York, PA. I went in to buy a "Nector" mattress for my sister-in-law who is suffering from severe back pain. Unfortunately, she has a compression fracture. I told Nick that I needed the mattress ASAP. Nick called all of the local area stores. He found one and he personally delivered it the following morning. I had the mattress delivered in less than 24 hours. It saved us so many questions and tons of time. she laid on the 3 mattresses that it recommended and we were able to purchase and take home the mattress that day! When we left, my daughter said dad why did you buy that mattress? My only answer was, because I was impressed with the diagnosis and accuracy of Chuck's recommendation for a new mattress and the price was super competitive.. Barry from mattress warehouse went above and beyond my expectations. He is very knowledgeable of every mattress that is available. He was able to give very good details and comparisons for the mattresses that I considered. He allowed me to take my time making my decision. He was very patient with me. The service from beginning to end was exceptional!! The day my mattress and adjustable frame were delivered Barry contacted me to give me an approximate time the delivery truck would arrive at my front door. Barry also contacted me after the delivery process and set up, to make sure everything went well and I was pleased with the delivery service....service after the sale is unheard of these days. This just so happened to be my first stop when I was looking for a new bed. Keith was such a wonderful help to me when I came in. At 8 months pregnant- and completely unsure of what I would need, he and the manager on staff were so kind to patiently and clearly explain everything, so that I could find the perfect bed for my back, as well as my budget. They gave me a very reasonable price, but being cautious, I still felt like I should shop around a little before committing myself to the first place I came. I quickly found that they were better quality at mattress warehouse and MUCH better customer service than the two other places that I stopped by later that day. I came back the next day and ordered the one Keith suggested. They were able to have the bed delivered and setup within only a few days, and having slept on the bed for almost a week, it is very comfortable. Worked with Amy @ Queen Street York Pa. Bought Twin Xl adjustable base and Twin Xl Tempur-Pedic mattress and a queen size adjustable base. Had Xl bed and base for two days! Buyer beware READ ALL FINE PRINT ON ORDER. Will not exchange adjustable base ! Bought Tempur-Pedic! Spent 5000 dollars! Realized we could actually fit a full size in the space and called to see if we could exchange the twin Xl to a full mattress, no problem apparently but won't exchange the Xl adjustable base for the full adjustable base, even though I would be spending and extra 1000 dollars( because I was going to upgrade the base also). How stupid is that, I guess I was the stupid one for believing in all there glowing reviews on customer service! I will be buying new a new queen size mattress to go along with other adjustable base I bought from them within the next few months and it I WILL NOT BE BUYING IT FROM THEM! read more

Came in to to buy a mattress for our son a few weeks before moving into a new home. Rep told us that we would just put $10 down and reserve the $200 mattress, to be delivered on our move in date. Called a week before our move just to verify. Rep that answered literally laughed at my wife when she called saying "the mattress world doesn't work like that." So, we went to get our $10 back and buy from a legitimate store with Reps who have actual experience interacting with customers. Keith Lewter (manager) was there. He told us he had been brought in to "clean up the Queen street location." He gave us a $50 discount on the mattress/box spring for our son and free delivery, and swore on everything holy that it would be there for our move in date. Big surprise, day of move, "Patrick" from the location calls and says "we ran out of mattresses, sorry we cant deliver it." I had to ask him- "you are a store that sells mattresses. I keep trying to buy one from you, but you don't seem to be able to sell me one. What exactly do you do!?" Patrick promised he would look into a price reduction with his district manager and would get the mattress out to us ASAP. Long story short, because of these clowns, my two year old son didn't have a bed to sleep in for the first night in our new house. The mattress was finally delivered, and is of extremely low quality- not the one we selected. I have called back and left several mattresses for "Patrick" and have never received a call back. Would NEVER consider doing business with them again- Managers Bob Loomis and Keither Lewter were no help, and "Patrick" was even less help. There are a hundred mattress stores in York, do yourself a favor and go to any one of them, or order one online and avoid people like these that have no clue how to interact with customers, follow up properly or take any pride in their work. read more
