I wanted to give my review now that I've had a few nights with the mattress and not being pressured to leave a five star review as soon as I made my purchase with Monty. Please do not make your decision the same day. You truly need to sleep on it before committing to anything from Mattress Warehouse. Once the mattress is delivered and accepted, all sales are final. There are no refunds, even if the product doesn't work out for you. You are locked in, and your only option is a one-time exchange after 30 days with a $150 redelivery fee. While Monty was very helpful during the buying process, the tone changed once we had an issue. The mattress we purchased is far too firm and extremely uncomfortable, and now we are stuck waiting through the break-in period before we are even eligible to exchange it. It has been a very frustrating experience. I was told I would get a call back to follow up, but it's now Thursday and I still haven't heard anything. At this point, I don't expect a return call because there's really nothing they can or will do. It feels like once the sale is complete, the support disappears. Also, be aware that the mattress protector is mandatory to keep your comfort guarantee and warranty intact, but it retains heat and moisture, which has made sleep even more uncomfortable. I will likely need to purchase another one just to make the bed tolerable, which adds to the overall cost. I regret not shopping around more. I would never have purchased from this store and Monty had I known how limited the options would be after delivery. I strongly suggest doing your homework and getting comparisons from at least two or three other places. Mattress Firm, for example, does allow returns, which may offer more peace of mind if you are unsure. This was an expensive and disappointing lesson, and I will not be returning to Mattress Warehouse. read more

I bought the king mattress set from Costco but the box springs were too high. I called Mattress Warehouse and talked to Gus. He is very knowledgeable and explained that I can go with either bunkie boards (2") or low profile box springs (5"). He sold me the box springs for a very good price. Since my house is in Centreville, he even had the box springs delivered to the Chantilly store so I didn't have to drive to Gainesville to pick them up. I highly recommend Gus if you ever new mattresses or box springs. read more

My wife and I went mattress shopping and made the mistake of going to this Mattress Warehouse. The sales person asked us where else we had shopped and we mentioned we had been to Sleepy's down the street. The manager, who was all the way in the back of the store, heard us and immediately walked up and went into this maniacal diatribe about how Sleepy's is the worst thing to happen to the mattress industry since bed bugs. Specifically bad-mouthing a competitor is bad form, unprofessional and just shows a complete lack of class. After three minutes of his ranting it got really uncomfortable and, honestly, hostile. Every question we asked was replied to with rudeness and snark. Seriously, this is how you treat your customers because they "had the nerve" to shop around? We purchased a mattress from Mattress Warehouse 2+ years ago (Monty was our salesman). The mattress lasted 2 years-it sagged. We thought that we could just return to mattress warehouse for a replacement mattress. We were wrong. There was paperwork involved as well as an inspection by a 3d party inspector. We needed 3 support rails and we had 2. If we had known a 3d rail was required under the warranty at the time of purchase we would have purchased a 3d rail and maybe it wouldn't have sagged. We have a new mattress, an upgrade , being delivered this week. Yes we are happy that a new mattress is arriving but it is costing us more since we are trying another brand (why go with the loser). It gets better we have to pay a $99 delivery fee and a $20 disposable fee. Once again Monty never informed us of this at the time of completing the warranty paperwork or when we purchased a replacement mattress. Monty would not waive the fees . My point is if you buy a mattress from Mattress Warehouse insure they go over every little detail of the warranty etc. Monty is very customer friendly but he leaves out specifics that a customer may want or need to know. Yes I know it is probably somewhere in the paperwork they provided but I didn't thoroughly read it. My fault. read more

2 days ago, I purchased a mattress set from a delightful salesman in this store. During the sale, I was told we were scheduled for delivery between 8-11am today, and that the delivery people would call likely around 7:30am to confirm. Well, whatdya know? I got a call at 7:30am from the delivery guys! Only they were telling me my delivery was now 11-2. Hey Mattress Warehouse, who are the celebrities, or politicians, or foreign rulers that bumped my time? That is the only reason I can see for you screwin up my entire day because I actually planned my day to be available for YOUR convenience, even though I am the one forking over the money. This is NOT the place to shop. They told my husband and I and he is Marine that a Queen was 2000 dollars, then he went to 1500 and as we were leaving the store he lowered the price to 800. We purchased a pretty pricey mattress from this store. Needless to say the mattress is giving me back problems now even after going through their mattress selector technology which seems to be a joke. I will update my review based on how my return experience goes. It is so bad that i am sleeping on our kids bed. I've slept on a few Tempurpedic mattresses and none of them felt this bad. I almost feel like ours is defective. DO NOT BUY A MATTRESS FROM THIS COMPANY. My wife and I went to Mattress Warehouse in Gainesville due to its proximity to our house. We wanted to try a Tempurpedic mattress, as I have heard good things and our old mattress was giving us trouble. The sales lady did her song and dance about how tired we look and how this bed will take away all our morning aches and pains. We spent a while in the store lying on different mattresses. The sales lady told us that the extra-soft mattress would not work for us, but we do like a very soft bed. With her guidance, we settled on a medium-soft breeze mattress. We have given the mattress the required 30-day break in period. My wife is still miserable in the mornings, and I sleep worse than on our old mattress. We were told that we had 90 days to return the mattress if we weren't happy. Her biggest caution was about protecting the mattress from spills and stains as this would void the warranty. The Sales person never stated that the 90-day guarantee was an exchange only situation, not a refund. So when I called the company and spoke with the same sales person informing her we wanted to return the mattress, she then stated we could not get a refund. Now I am stuck with an expensive piece of crap, or I have to go back in and try to get a mattress with the same price tag. Had I known I was going to be stuck with a store credit I would have ordered directly from Tempurpedic, as I would advise anyone considering this store to do. John Sherry was our sales rep and he was very knowledgeable. After doing research on the Internet, my husband and I went here first and there was no need to go anywhere else! We were interested in the Tempurpedics and John showed us the latest and greatest in another, more affordable brand. Mattress Warehouse will match competitors prices. We put them to the test that day. After we purchased our mattress, we found it cheaper on-line, called John and they refunded us the difference right away. We bought a mattress from Suzanne at Mattress Warehouse. We had been looking for mattress for about 5 months and were we so confused as to what we really needed. We were sleeping on the TempuPedic Rhasbody and hated it. We were nervous to make a wrong choice again and be stuck for years with poor sleep. Suzanne helped us to find the correct Mattress and we love it. My husband is a big guy and I am a small woman and we were able to find the right mattress for us. My husband and I were, notice I said were, in the market for a new mattress set. We previously purchased a wonderful set from Sleepy's local to our area a couple of years ago but since being new to the area and this particular store was close, we decided to stop in. Firstly, the selection of mattresses was small. But that still didn't stop us from taking a look see at what was there. The young man (I will not call a gentleman) seemed more interested in arguing his points to the point of contention. By the way, he claimed he was the manager. Poor customer service, to be sure! We explained to him that were looking at something comparable to what we had and provided him the name of the set from the competetor and he went on and on about why Sleepy's was a horrible place and company. He never tried to explain the pro's to the mattresses that we were interested in but instead said, "well, you have your mind made up as to what you want and where you want it from." What does that mean? That you are copping out to helping us? We had money to spend and you lost a sale...a BIG sale at that! He went on and on about how Sleepy's overprices there products to make it appear that any offer is a tremendous deal. I simply asked him was that not a typical sales tactic. He argued about that. Not to sound cliche-ish, but the customer should always be right!!! He wanted to argue about everything that we inquired about that we said, "we have heard enough and we are done here." We found our way to the nearest Sleepy's and as last time, got a phenomenol deal! I had a very unpleasant experience today with the delivery personnel. I was called the day before the delivery and was informed they did not have the headboard in stock at the warehouse but they did have one at the store that I could pick up and the delivery guys would put it up. Unfortunately, when the delivery guys arrived they said they would not touch the headboard. I told the driver, that is not what I was told so I called Mattress Warehouse to see what could be done, since this is what I paid for. In the meantime the delivery man called their dispatch after getting off the phone they told me still they would not touch the headboard. I asked the driver why he didn't talk in English so I could understand what was going on. This statement seem to infuriate him. And he stated if I continue to disrespect him that he would take the order back to The warehouse. The driver was very rude and the other guys only concern was if I wanted the order or not because he had other customers who were waiting. At this point I said if that's what you want to do then do it because you guys should follow through on what I paid for, and you are being disrespectful. They seem to be only concerned about getting the order setup and getting on with their next order. They were not concerned at all about customer service being kind or understanding. read more
