Anthony was extremely knowledgeable, transparent, and patient with going through diferent mattress materials, warranty, and even going through the different technicalities on mattress production (eg coiling, tufting, etc) -- we learned a lot and we spent essentially a very helpful hour in the store to help us determine ultimately what we were looking for. We appreciated that the interaction didn't feel pushy/like a hard sales pitch and we left with the plan to look at other store fronts to compare experiences/prices and ultimately came 3 weeks later to put in our order. No weird up charges and he gave us a free gift with the purchase :) if I had to purchase another mattress in the future I'd definitely come back and recommend this place to other people!

He walked us through the different types of foams, springs, and covers, and explained what actually matters (and what doesn't). He knew a lot about the recent changes in the mattress industry. You can try any of the online brands. If they don't have a model, they can get a twin for you to try out. There was also zero pressure or upselling, just thoughtful advice. We ended up buying their in-house brand, which feels comfortably soft but still supportive. When my husband moves, my side doesn't turn into a slope (great partner isolation!). We also spent much less than we expected and left feeling really good about supporting a local business.

Here was my problem re: delivery. They are super paranoid re: bed bugs. I had them fumigated years ago but even if they find one teeny dead one they will not deliver or haul away the old mattress. If the new mattress has a plastic wrapping they will deliver it inside but you have to get rid of the old one yourself. For me it cost me $190 for a hauling service. But I suppose they'll "match any price or your mattress is free!"

The 5 star review showed up online after a day or two but my 2 star review never was posted. I waited another month and tried to submit the review of the mattress again but with 3 stars. Again, it has never been posted online. I also tried with 4 and 5 stars, each time starting the review stating that this was actually a 2 star review, but none of them have ever shown up online. I would be very skeptical of their reviews seeing as mine has never shown up online. The last time a 2 star review was posted of the mattress I purchased was nearly 3 years ago. I have a hard time believing that is true. Their customer service has also gone down the drain. They started using AI in recent years for customer service questions and you never get your questions answered. They just provide a general statement that sometimes doesn't even pertain to your issue. I had to demand to speak/chat with an actual person to get my issue resolved. I've ordered other items from Avocado -- sheets, body melt, pajamas -- and had loved everything and had impeccable customer service when my order was wrong or I had issues with the item. Those days are gone. AI and I'm sure increased prices/inflation has killed what this company did so well. I'm disappointed with what has become of Avocado Green Mattress. I likely won't be purchasing much from them going forward.

Literally just came for the sonic merch and considering it was $40 for a small plus I feel would be in a claw game that alone almost had me straight turn around and leave. The one dude working was kinda following us around a bit too much that was kinda off putting to the experience of checking out the place, lowkey felt like he was expecting us to steal and was shadowing us for that which felt awkward....

I am on my own for the first time and have never purchased a mattress on my own before. It was a bit daunting!!! Mattress Stop had great reviews, so I decided to come in and check it out first. I am suuuuper glad that I did! I needed to have a mattress to sleep on THAT NIGHT and I wanted to get one that met all my needs (queen size, soft, comfy, good for my back problems). Well, just like all the other reviewers have said, Sergio is just awesome!!! He helped me come to a decision with no sales pressure, just a friendly and knowledgeable approach which I really appreciated. This is the ONLY place to buy a mattress!! It was the first and only stop on my search. Finding the right mattress can be difficult. Sergio at Mattress Stop went way over and above my expectations to ensure I was on the right one. I had a hard time with the break-in period on my first mattress. After having shoulder surgery, Sergio knew how much it meant to quickly get me on a softer mattress. He committed to do everything he could by pushing internally with management and delivery. In the end, he came through by pulling some major strings to get me on another mattress the very next day! I ended up going with a mattress that was out of stock, so to ensure we wouldn't be sleeping on the floor, Hosia and Matthew kept us up to date on any updates regarding our mattress and got us one to sleep on in the meantime. Great Customer Service…read more I stopped by here a month ago to test out some beds for a relative in another state. William was working that day and was very helpful in helping me find what I needed. I've bought several mattresses before from this company so I have a good idea as to what's involved. I did tell William I was not looking for myself and he didn't care, he was still helpful. He also said I could order from his store if I wanted and he could set up the delivery in the State I wanted. No pressure. So I went through the process and it was done rapidly and easily, including discounts on delivery and the free adjustable electric bed frame. 100 day free return policy. Standard stuff with this company. A few weeks later sadly, the relative passed away before being able to use the bed that had been delivered. I called William and explained the situation and said I'd not be needing it after all. No problem. He arranged for the bed and frame to be picked up and returned and even reduced the standard return fee by 50%. He could easily have stuck by the book, but his gesture was greatly appreciated. I've only had good experiences with this company. They have a great selection of mattresses and deals. None of this FedEx or Amazon delivery of a rolled up mattress you have to deal with on your end. They deliver them intact, do the set up (in the case of the electric frame, well worth it) and remove the old mattresses you don't need anymore. So all that and great customer service, as William's example illustrates, why bother with any other mattress store?
