Immediately engaged by a warm and affable Dan LaVoie, I immediately knew there would not be the usual sales pitches and pressure. He was knowledgable and informative, helping us understand our options. I was convinced he was our advocate to get the best bed for the money we were able or interested in spending. It is difficult to put into words, but sometime you cross paths with a "people person" who fosters trust and puts you at ease, so much so that you become a bit skeptical that there must be some catch. There is no catch--real deal character. Once he new our range we discussed options while my son was honing his comfort preferences. We came to terms on the best option for us. Before buying, I told Dan I was going to go to a couple of other places that afternoon. He gave us advice and questions to ask about product options at the competitors before we hit the road. This showed an uncommon level of confidence and professionalism, and after my due diligence, I went back to Mattress Firm and purchased the set we selected. Can't really imagine going any place else for a mattress.

Such a pleasure to do business with a company that stays in constant touch and explains everything AND does what they say they will do. The morning of delivery, we got several texts explaining that the truck was on its way. The day before we were sent emails indicating a basic timeframe for the delivery. The next day, everything went smoothly. I don't think we have had a better retail experience.

1 Star - Extremely Disappointed with Bob's Discount Furniture - Unacceptable Customer Service…read more I purchased the Bolt power reclining sectional from Bob's Discount Furniture, with delivery scheduled for today. I specifically planned around this delivery because I am hosting an event at my home this evening. Today, I was informed that the delivery truck had broken down and my furniture would not be delivered as promised. I understand that mechanical issues happen. However, what I find completely unacceptable is the lack of effort to find a solution. I even offered to pick up the furniture myself to avoid the inconvenience, only to be told that wasn't an option. No alternative arrangements were made, no compensation was offered, and there appeared to be no effort to accommodate the situation. Now, I am left hosting an event in my home this evening without the furniture I was promised would arrive today. I made every effort to find a reasonable solution, including offering to take responsibility for picking up my own purchase. Unfortunately, Bob's was unwilling or unable to work with me. As a result, I canceled my order. Bob's didn't lose my business because a delivery truck broke down. They lost my business because of their complete lack of flexibility, accountability, and customer service when something went wrong. Furniture is a significant purchase, and customers deserve better than this. A company should be judged not only by its prices and products but also by how it treats customers when problems arise. Extremely disappointing experience. I expected much better from Bob's Discount Furniture.

After talking to for the next hour and helping guide us to the right mattress for our situation we came to know him as Kim Courtwright. He was straightforward, which we as well as many others prefer when it comes to sales. He was gracious enough to stay late to help us, as we work late and this was the only time we had available. We knew we wanted to get a mattress but we didn't know which one. Kim kindly directed us through the many options until we found what was right for us. (And in no rush, considering it was late) I cannot say enough kind words about his gentleman. I have been in the store once before and although that last man was just as friendly this Kim went above and beyond to please us. Just a month after purchasing our mattress we recently received a warm postcard in the mail from Kim at mattress firm. He remembered our main issue, and re-instated it in the post card. He remembered our main problem upon going into the store, and that is my other halves back issue which he has been in the hospital for. He even remembered my son's name. I am so appalled in a good way, and have never received anything like this ever before in all my days of purchasing this and that from different retailers. The price was right and the sleep issues as well as back issues have improved. The mattress is great and everything that came along with it. Be couldn't be happier.
