I've been looking for a new mattress for a few months, using Mattress Firm to kind of start my…read moresearch but originally ended up buying a box mattress because I liked the free shipping and free return policy, plus it had a 365-trial period! Unfortunately, that first mattress was not the best and I felt like I was sinking into the bed and opted to get another box mattress with the recommendations from various friends, and finding that mattress way too stiff. Finally, I decided to go back to Mattress Firm and try various mattresses! The Knapp store I originally tried was much much larger and more spacious than the East location, but they still had a lot of variety. I probably laid on 3-4 types, with the help from the sales associate, I found myself being much more aware of how much shoulders and hips hit on the mattress. I thought I was more of a medium-firm person, but come to find out, the mattress I liked the best was considered a plush pillow-top! Gregory was very knowledgeable and provided guidance on the bed needed, walked me through a couple beds and their various price points and even educated me on the adjustable bed frames! Ultimately, I decided to just purchase the mattress and before I decided, I probably laid on the bed for a good 10 minutes, playing on my phone, moving around (with my boyfriend taking a cat nap) to see how we both liked the mattress. The check out process did take quite a bit longer than I anticipated (probably closer to 30 minutes than what I thought would only be 15), due to availability of the mattress and delivery windows. The value was fair, and I got $500 off with their discounts and coupons, but they do charge a $99 delivery fee for in room delivery and a $200 return window and restocking fee. So I'm hopeful that I do not need to return it or exchange. But I do recommend them, mattress shopping is stressful and they did a great job educating me!

Such a pleasure to do business with a company that stays in constant touch and explains everything AND does what they say they will do. The morning of delivery, we got several texts explaining that the truck was on its way. The day before we were sent emails indicating a basic timeframe for the delivery. The next day, everything went smoothly. I don't think we have had a better retail experience.

I specifically planned around this delivery because I am hosting an event at my home this evening. Today, I was informed that the delivery truck had broken down and my furniture would not be delivered as promised. I understand that mechanical issues happen. However, what I find completely unacceptable is the lack of effort to find a solution. I even offered to pick up the furniture myself to avoid the inconvenience, only to be told that wasn't an option. No alternative arrangements were made, no compensation was offered, and there appeared to be no effort to accommodate the situation. Now, I am left hosting an event in my home this evening without the furniture I was promised would arrive today. I made every effort to find a reasonable solution, including offering to take responsibility for picking up my own purchase. Unfortunately, Bob's was unwilling or unable to work with me. As a result, I canceled my order. Bob's didn't lose my business because a delivery truck broke down. They lost my business because of their complete lack of flexibility, accountability, and customer service when something went wrong. Furniture is a significant purchase, and customers deserve better than this. A company should be judged not only by its prices and products but also by how it treats customers when problems arise. I spoke with him about my budget and he recommended me a washer and dryer that had a great discount during their Labor Day sale and kept me within budget. I didn't feel pressured at all to make a purchase and I think he probably assumed I would wanna look around elsewhere just to get a feel of pricing but I was happy with what he showed me so I purchased it straight away. It was nice that they had both machines in stock too! I purchased on a Thursday afternoon and we set up delivery and install for the following Tuesday. They showed up literally RIGHT on time at 3pm for the 3-5pm window I chose. Great service. Super nice guys. They tested everything out and got it all set up. The dryer wasn't igniting so they actually had some guys from the store bring another dryer to replace that one. They were done with everything before 5pm so super efficient.
