So far not a great experience. Went online and scheduled a time today for a 4pm pickup this Sat. and didn't receive a confirmation that a driver was assigned so I kept checking back online, still nothing, so I called the office at 3, no one answered, left a message, and no one called back. Then 4pm rolled around, nothing. Called again, got someone this time who said no drivers were available, which is totally fine, definitely short notice, but communication is key. Asked to set up another time for Monday, since the business I was looking to have my couch picked up from was closed on Sundays, but I got a confirmation email saying my driver was assigned....for Sunday. Tried calling back again to get it changed, again no answer, and just received a text from them saying it got moved to the 30th. I definitely would have preferred a call - poor communication is thamy biggest thing so far. I'll update this if rectified by awesome service on Monday! Update: wow. Had to move down to one star. Had a guy scheduled to pick up my couch at 3 pm, it's an hour later and I called the business it was to be picked up at and no one has showed yet. No answer from hired hitch, and no call back. read more

I think that Hired Hitch has to be one of GR hidden jewels. Neil and Keegan were courteous friendly and efficient. I love the teamwork and the careful way they moved my furniture from the couch to the lamps and all in between it was done with care. I love this company and would highly recommend them. They never confirmed officially for my move through a furniture store, so when waiting at my scheduled time they never showed. I was emailed by an owner to reschedule to the next day. These guys rectified the situation and got me my furniture the schedule day just hours later. They seem to have a good system in place but needs serious details worked out. read more

Just used Hired Hitch. They were fast, prompt, courteous and the price was excellent. I will definitely recommend them to everyone! Two moving companies wanted $250 or a 2-hour minimum to bring a couch from West Elm to my home 15 minutes away. They did it fast and at a great price that made sense. Fast and thorough communication on Facebook and the website. I will not hesitate to use Hired Hitch anytime I buy furniture or bulky items to have them delivered to my door for a fair price. I needed to have a refrigerator moved to my house. I filled out an on-line inquiry which allowed me to chose the date and the time. I immediately received an e-mail confirmation that the date I had chosen (the next day, which was a Saturday) was available. Nick called me early the next morning and asked if they could come sooner. That worked out perfectly for me. They came and unloaded it quickly and put it exactly where I wanted it. Best company I have dealt with in a long time. read more

I am delighted with Hired Hitch and their service, convenience, ease of use, and price. I was in a pinch because I had to return a rental bike to a shop and it was closed during my day of departure. I luckily found Hired Hitch thanks to these other 5-star reviews, and couldn't have been happier with my experience. I sent my inquiry online and Nick responded very promptly to let me know how the service worked and that he would be looking for a driver to help me out. This is a great service and business. I don't think I have ever dealt with anyone who is simultaneously quick and thorough. Keep it up! Oh, and my price came in less than I would have expected. I felt like I was in good hands, and this was great peace of mind - one last thing I didn't have to worry about when I was traveling out-of-town for my first triathalon.
