The delivery guys sort of pretended to act like they would not set up the bed, even though it was obviously included even though that is what we been arranged. They had a well rehearsed stage production between each delivery man of how it used to be $40 but had recently increased to $80. The stage play went on for 5 minutes, acknowledging that there was no additional fee but they would not set up the mattress without the payoff. They had the whole script and we were not prepared. I should have interupted with their distributor on the phone but they said that was not possible. I would not want to be scammed, so went with a more trusted vendor for our second mattress a couple of weeks later. Be warned and prepared.

Many problems with mattress purchase. On delivery date we stayed home waiting to never see them…read more We called and they told us that the mattress we ordered was discontinued. Wasted our precious Saturday because they can't call us. We didn't receive our refund for three weeks so we called about it and they said that can only be done through the corporate office. Why wasn't it done without us waiting and asking for our money that is gaining interest on our credit card without us even having the purchased item in our possession? The manager returned our call to say he had a mattress that he thought would suit our needs. None was in stock so they ordered one so that we could come see if we liked it. Told us to come see it the next weekend. We went to the store and it wasn't in yet. No call. We went again the next weekend and liked the mattress. We purchased our custom sized order mattress and for the trouble were given a discount that would have been a credit on our credit card that had still not been refunded from the original non-received mattress. The mattress was received when delivery was promised and is a great mattress. After waiting another two weeks for the refund to show on our credit card we called to ask about it. The owner/manager told us that he didn't agree to the lower price that the salesperson gave us and it would cost us the full original price. This is even though we had a receipt with the lower price on it. He said we would have to take it up with corporate office. After multiple efforts to contact a corporate office we never could find anyone or anyplace that is corporate. It doesn't exist as far as our research could find. We emailed the customer service email at the King's Mattress website and received an auto reply from a personal gmail address saying she was out of office getting married. We have had to give up and have paid the full $400 more for the mattress. The only reason we stuck with this business was we could order a custom RV size from them. Do not support this business that lacks integrity, honesty and professionalism.

Ashley was very responsive in making arrangements to meet us in the showroom, confirmed our appointment on the day it was scheduled, and was already there when we arrived. She asked what type of mattress we were looking for, and after answering, she pointed out several models. She answered all of the questions we had, including about where the beds come from (the manufacturing company creates mattresses for Mattress Today plus at least two other well-known businesses), and was very easy to work with. Our overall no-hassle, no-rush experience was very positive, which contributed to our decision to buy a bed at Mattress Today that evening. The other factor was cost. The company we had originally planned to purchase from offered traditional and gel foam mattress sets, but we couldn't afford the foam. At Mattress Today, the gel foam price was much less expensive, which allowed us to move forward with our top choice. We purchased our king size foam mattress plus two twin box springs four months ago, and all is well. We were happy to get rid of our older spring mattress, though future guests should be advised they now will be sleeping on said mattress. Foam is sometimes criticized for causing a warmer sleeping environment, but we haven't yet experienced that. Will it be a problem in the summer? Dunno. We commonly use a box fan at night from July through September anyway, and can use more breathable sheets and remove blankets if needed. Please note that at this time Mattress Today Seattle does not currently operate on a drop-in basis, instead meeting potential clients by appointment. They do have a Facebook presence with many positive reviews, which is why we pursued learning more about the company's inventory. As of today, the exceptions to those reviews appear to be with a customer doing business with American First Finance--which has mixed reviews at Better Business Bureau--and another customer who chose not to elaborate. Also, in order to obtain the warrantee, the customer has to purchase a specific mattress cover, which cost us ~$75 on our purchase date. We chose to have our purchase delivered for $50.
