Buyer Beware! We went in Monday wanting to take advantage of Memorial Day sales for mattresses. Brandon was there and he wasn't pushy as other reviewers said. We had gone to Mattress Firm and it was high pressure which made us uncomfortable but the salesman there said all their prices matched the company website prices. We double checked after leaving and that was correct. So when we went to Mattress Depot, the salesman again told us the prices match the website and we trusted that must be the case at all mattress stores. While there he said that part of the Memorial Day sale was that you get $400 off a frame so we upgraded to take advantage of the savings. That night we got home and wanted to check how high the mattress was so we got on the Serra website to find it. We were shocked to see the price was $400 cheaper than we paid. We called the next day to address it with them and he said "my manager said since you got $400 off the frame we can't do anything for you". Ah! Now it's all making sense. They jack up the price of the mattress and offer a fake discount on the frame. I told him I'd like to just cancel it then at which point he replied "you can't - go read the VERY fine print". Whoa! He was right - it does say all sales are final and no refunds so we're stuck. But I've seen ads for this company and they sell themselves as locally owned etc and I just didn't think they were this slimy. So before you close the deal here be sure to check prices online or at Mattress Firm because we could have had the same mattress in 1 day vs 2 weeks and saved $400. Sigh. read more

We're sorry to hear about your foundation you purchased. We sell 100s of these foundations a month in our 26 locations and haven't heard about the foundations creaking. MDUSA is authorizing an exchange. The original sales order shows you picked up the foundation at our Everett store so the exchange/swap will need to be completed at the Everett store. Please verify with the store that they have 1 in stock. If the store does not have a replacement currently in stock they may have to order 1 for you. The foundation you're bringing back will need to be in a plastic bag, there cannot be any damage/breakage/staining to the foundation and the law label at the head of the foundation will still need to be intact. I got my new box spring today, and it does not seem to be creaking. But the store that exchanged my box spring charged me a new delivery fee for the delivery of the new box spring to replace the previous one that creaked. It just sort of seems wrong to me that I had to pay twice for delivery when a box spring that was not defective was supposed to have been delivered the 1st time. The 1st time I paid cash to the delivery guy, EGR (I presume; he was the guy behind the counter), and then for today's delivery I had to pay him/his store $153.72 (substantially more than the fee I had previously paid him in cash for the first delivery, which was closer to forty or fifty bucks), this time by credit card. It just sort of rubs me the wrong way that I had to pay 2 delivery fees when I should've just gotten a non-defective product delivered the first time. Is there any way I could be reimbursed that $153.72? Please let me know. Thank you. Your original sales order shows the product being Picked Up and not delivered by MDUSA. If you had contracted through Mattress Depot USA for our standard delivery fee of $100 to have your product delivered on the original sales order and we delivered the defective product we would have 100% replaced the product at no service charge. But, MDUSA did not deliver the product on your original sales order. This is not any different than Lowes, Home Depot or even Costco. If you pick up the product at those locations and they don't work or are defective then you have to drive the product back to the store and get a replacement. If you say you contracted with a third party/EGR to do the COD then that is a contract with you and the third party/EGR, not Mattress Depot USA. You could have contracted with the third party/EGR to do the swap out but that would have been between you and the third party/EGR. You did contract with MDUSA to do the Exchange of the product for $140 plus tax (Exchange Delivery is a two way movement of goods as they have to return to the store to drop off the defective piece. Service charge is noted on your original sales order) and we delivered what was contracted on the Exchange Order. If we had delivered the item on the Exchange Order w/ any issues we would have replaced it per our contract. We appreciate your business and look forward to helping you with any other sleep essentials you may need in the future. That original sales order is incorrect; I never said I'd pick up the foundation. I said to him specifically that I had to have it delivered to my house, since I had no way to pick it up (my car is tiny and I don't have bungee cords). I asked that MDUSA deliver it; the guy who was working @ the MDUSA there in Everett, EGR, said it would be delivered on the delivery date. I had no idea it would be him personally; he's just the one who showed up at my house that day. I did not ever intentionally contract with a "third party." I spoke to the only visible worker at that MDUSA store, and when I bought the foundation, I said it would have to be delivered, and on the delivery date, he showed up, and I gave him the cash, since he'd told me to have cash on hand for the delivery person (again, I had no idea it would be him, and I never deliberately contracted with "a third party" since I believed that I WAS dealing with a representative of MDUSA, and thus that my contract WAS with MDUSA; why would I ever believe otherwise?). I signed all the paperwork in the store on the day of purchase with the belief that I was doing what is standard, and I followed his lead and did it the way he told me to do it. I assumed (apparently, wrongly) that he is authorized to represent MDUSA, and that the whole contract, including the purchase of the product AND also purchasing the delivery of said product, was all with Mattress Depot USA, not one contract with the company for the product and a 2nd (delivery-related) contract with the guy who was working in that specific store as a separate individual. He never gave me any reason to believe that I was contracting anything with him separately; everything he said and did led me to believe that I WAS dealing with "Mattress Depot USA" as a whole for the entire transaction. read more

I'm going through a divorce, and decided to let my husband keep our queen bed. Since my daughter is at college most of the year, my plan was to sleep on her double bed and have her sleep on the twin bed (that I've been sleeping on for years) when she came home. After I moved into my new apartment, I realize that her bed was way too soft for me, and since she was coming home for the holidays, I wanted her to be able to sleep in her own bed. Last week I was walking by the Mattress Depot Store in Lynnwood, WA after an appointment at Xfinity, and I went in to look at some of the mattresses. I had already been to other stores, including Macy's and found nothing. Brandon greeted me warmly when I walked in the door, and asked me questions about what type of mattress I wanted, was I a side/back sleeper, etc. He showed me firm mattresses at all price points, and I fell in love with the Beautyrest Black Firm. This mattress was on an adjustable base with massage settings, and after trying them out, I was sold! The cost of the mattress and base was a bit more than I wanted to spend, so Brandon told me that even though Mattress Depot's Black Friday Sale had ended two days earlier, he'd extend me those discounts! Due to my situation, it was best for me not to do the no interest financing, and paid in full--so Brandon gifted me a Sleep Tight 15 year mattress protector. Due to low stock, my bed was scheduled to arrive in 2 1/2 weeks. Well, Brandon knew that my daughter was coming home from college the next day, and I would be sleeping on a twin bed. So the next morning, he let me know that my mattress would be ready for delivery THE NEXT DAY! The delivery team was excellent, and I've had my new bed for almost a week. I'm 61, and have had many mattresses over my lifetime. And, due to stress I've had to take Melatonin for the past year to get to sleep. Since getting my new bed last Sunday, I've not only had the best sleep of my life, I also no longer need sleep aids. I'm so grateful that I stopped into Mattress Depot and met Brandon. That story is twisted. I'm sure you have sound recorders in your stores. So why don't you go listen to them and you will see that she is not that sweet of a lady when you want to return something. I was not unreasonable. She told me I knew the bed was non returnable, and said it in a very mean like way. I was very calm and nice until she decided to interrupt me and raise her voice and talk over me. That is disrespectful. Never going here again! They are over priced, and sell mattresses that are used! I bought two mattresses within a year of each other which both were hammocking, little did I know, they sell used mattresses and dont tell you! They also wanted to charge a $60 delivery fee for literally going five blocks down the road. They don't work with you on the price at all either! Go to Mattress City, they will give a great deal! We came here looking for an awesome mattress at a low price and we got soooooo much more. We got a Tempurpedic knockoff which has felt AMAZING and I will never go back to my old box-spring. We paid probably 1/3 of the price of a brand name. But the biggest thing to me was how amazing the store associate was; I think his name was Steve? He was so informative, answered all of our questions, made us feel like we were getting a great deal, and even helped us bundle in an awesome mattress cover (that will help us better protect our investment!!) and was really friendly. We really tested his customer service when we rescheduled our delivery date not once, not twice, but at least THREE times. Honestly I lost count. But the people at MD never stopped being patient and helpful towards us throughout the stressful process of coordinating our move-in/delivery and never made us feel like we were the hassle I know we were. Do not buy your bed here! We purchased a bed 2 years ago that ended up being a warranty situation where we had to wait a couple weeks for another bed and the new bed that we have is even worse. The company restonic as well as this mattress Depot will do nothing, claiming that it is a comfort issue and will not reimburse or do anything to make it right. We are now sleeping on our old original bed and backs and hips are back to normal and now we have a garage with a brand new bed sitting in it and no one will fess up to its poor quality. read more

RUN don't walk away from these jerks. I had the displeasure of dealing with Joseph Stemm from the Everett store. He obviously flunked out of used-car-salesmen school and is now a professional mattress salesman. He was rude, condescending and real proud of himself. I needed to get 2 beds fast so I hung in there and bought the beds from this creepasaures. They came and they were horrible so I returned them. I called Joseph and told him I needed to return the 2 and that I would get just one, but a good one. He very condescendingly said " Well you have to come into the stoooooooore". Every mattress I asked about I was told that it was not in stock. Finally I found one and got it. I have not slept through the night ever since. On delivery day I called to confirm the time, Joseph said " YOU were not listening".. I am thinking WTF who do you think you are talking to??? but I said nothing, I just wanted to get bed. When the delivery guys came i mentioned Sir Stemm and told them he was a jerk.. They smiled and nodded... they must hear that A LOT.. I contacted the Lynnwood store hoping that I would get someone with a pulse. I was told that I could e mail the owner but they are not allowed to give out his phone number. Awesome CS skills. He DID tell me to have a nice day. Yeahhh. I sent an e mail to this guy and it delivers to their marketing department. I got no response. A week later I sent another. A salesman from the Lynnwood store called and said, yeah we are not refunding you and we are not exchanging. He too told me to have a nice day. See they are good at that nice day thing... Grand Finale: they are loosers with zero respect for the money you spend on their crap. They have zero customer service, the owner hides behind e mail and palms the unhappy customer jobs to an ineffective store manager. I feel totally duped by these creeps. The Delivery Team, Ray T & Derrick W, called to meet me for delivery, but I was in a funeral, so I couldn't answer the call...they waited. By the time I could get out of the funeral & returned their call, they had gotten back on the road. But they turned the truck around & came back to meet me when I got there late. With big smiles, they strong-armed the the 200 pound frame & bed order up & down flights of stairs & corridors, & set up within 15 minutes. It was a pleasure to meet them both. All I can say is wow!! I have never left any business a yelp review before but I downloaded the app just to share my horrible experience. As soon as I entered the business, the gentleman than was running the store was rude and judgemental of me because of the way I dress and my dog (Jordan's and a pitbull). That's understandable I guess. I asked him if they only sold mattresses or if they sold pillows too because I've been to places that have amazing pillows but they don't sell them. Only mattresses. He replied with a condescending remark at which point I turned around to leave the store. He followed me out while he continued to laugh and make rude remarks, insinuating that I was there for a $300 mattress. Little does he know, I sleep on a $3000 mattress and I'm looking for new pillows because the $300 pillows I recently bought from another store hurt my neck. I don't understand the negative ratings here. I had an amazing experience. Credit approval was easy. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they say me up with a Restonic adjustable bed. My girlfriend and I bought our mattress from here about 6-8 months ago and had a pretty solid experience here. I would reccommend this place to friends and family. The only problem that I had was that they had no leeway with the price. The gentleman said that he could not knock $50 off the price (when I know he could) to save us on delivery fees. But it is all good, $50 is $50 and its not a big deal. The mattress was delivered the next day, they set it up for us and it was an overall good experience. The sales folks were knowledgable, helpful, low-pressure, and patient. We made a purchase then later decided the mattress was a bit soft for our liking, we took advantage of their 120-day exchange and switched mattresses with absolutely no-hassle or reluctance. I'd give this place zero stars if it'd let me. Customer service is an absolute joke. We purchased a bed from here a couple weeks ago, have gone back there at least 5 times since because we ended up not liking the mattress and bases we got and we wanted to switch them both out, seeing as how we had just spent over $3000. Not one time did they ever say before we finalized the purchase that you could not return/exchange the bases.. Cool fine. But we have been trying to switch out the mattress and have had nothing but a horrible experience, constantly getting the run around. We were told we had 90 days to return the mattress if we did not like it or if we bought a mattress protector we'd have 120 days so we bought a protector too.. Only to now be told we CANNOT return our mattress whatsoever. My fiance went back there today and the lady working there literally started yelling at him, basically calling him a liar about not knowing their shitty ass "return/exchange" policy. Save yourself the monstrous headache and don't do business with these people, they'll have no problem taking your money but after that service ends there with them. What a serious joke of a business. I can't think of a single good thing to say about this place. Called in after seeing an add for mattress depot on craigslist, I was told on the phone they had a mattress with 2 inches of memory foam on top for a certain price with a free boxspring. The price and mattress changed once I got there, I literally had to go home and print the craigslist ad to get the boxspring, and once I got the mattress home and unwrapped, there was NO memory foam, basically springs wrapped in fabric. I had a great experience here. I went in on Presidents' Day to look for a mattress and the first Joe who helped me was very helpful and very knowledgeable with absolutely no sales pitch. I appreciated that he just encouraged me to look around and try the mattresses. After going to two other mattress stores (where I was definitely feeling the sales pressure), I returned that evening and Joe welcomed me back and then helped me choose between two mattresses that I loved. He very kindly honored the holiday sales price even though I didn't actually purchase until the next day. When I went back in on Tuesday, the other Joe helped me and got my paperwork finished quickly and efficiently. Both gentlemen here answered questions I didn't know to even ask about mattresses. I found them to be quite helpful and I really appreciated their approach. My mattress was delivered yesterday with absolutely no problems and I just couldn't have anything more positive to say about the whole experience! Whn i wnt back to pay Joe Stemm was there and set up the delivery. Joe Stemm called me 30 mins before my start delivery time to tell me my bed would not be delivered that day Thursday .
