The technician for today never showed up, but lied to his supervisor that he left here a half hour ago. No missed calls, texts, emails, and nothing on my ring camera. So now we have to wait a couple of weeks for the next available appointment. It took me over an hour between chatting and phone calls to accomplish this. When I called, I had two hangups. Had to call a third time. I now have a headache from all of this nonsense. The sales department is great, but the service dept. is as bad as it can possibly be. I don't know if I would ever purchase anything from Bob's again.

On the second attempt to deliver, I clearly requested an hour's notice since I don't live at the property. Instead, I received a text less than 15 minutes before their arrival at 8:30 a.m. -- no consideration or proactive communication. They knew the day before that I was the second stop and could have easily notified me sooner. There was zero mention that someone had to be physically present at the property -- not in the store, not in the confirmation email, and not in any of the text messages. I even had a door code ready and was available by phone, but that wasn't acceptable to them either. The communication failures at every stage -- in-store, via text, and during delivery coordination -- were unacceptable. This will be the last time I purchase from Bob's. If you value clear communication and reliable delivery, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

We stopped by Preferred Mattress and provided some info about what type mattress we were looking for. Ed replied with three or four that they had in stock. We went to Macy's before to try them out but the sales staff was too pushy. After checking out a few at Preferred Mattress we picked out one we loved. It was placed in our bedroom later that day. Tyler called me with follow up on the delivery process and everything followed a smooth path. The delivery department gave me a time the night before and 10 minutes before they arrived. They did a great job putting it together. The product is really great and wonderful for a person who needs physical and psychological support. Not I. I bought a new sofa at Ikea late last year. For a small fee (under $40), it was delivered. The restaurant on the third floor was a must-visit, but now food is pricier (everywhere, not just here). Still, maybe it's worthwhile for an old-time experience of sitting sit in a department store eating a warm meal in front of those big windows with views of Midtown and other areas of the city. Room for improvement: I think the store should open a little earlier than 11 a.m. on Sundays.

To our surprise, the opening time has changed to 11 AM. We left and came back at 11. Both of us always enjoy the displays that show you what you can do with specific amounts of square footage. The merchandising team at IKEA are so creative, they make use of every bit of space in their examples. IKEA is a huge store, but you can't get lost. All you gotta do is follow the arrows painted on the floor. They're there from start to finish. They'll lead you through; furniture, accessories, housewares, plants and more. When the arrows lead us through the frames and artwork, we got a giggle that they had copies of the Mona Lisa and Starry Night. My favorite area is the housewares, I can always find something that I need in my kitchen. However, on this visit I found a coat tree for my front foyer in the accent furniture area. It's going to be nice to have something to hand my coat on instead of throwing it on the chair. If you need assistance there's always an associate working nearby. As I shopped, I did notice the prices weren't as low as they use to be, but that is the case almost everywhere. However, it's still a good value.

Kevin and Coann listened to my concerns, and I was given the best recommendations. Kevin was able to honor a price for a mattress that was listed on line.
