As property managers we have done quite a bit of business with this company. When things weren't right they generally would make it right until recently. My wife expects good service and good product even though it's used. My wife hurt their feelings after 2 weeks of waiting for a stove be replaced or fixed that was never working upon delivery. They said they no longer wanted to do business after getting the truth thrown in their face. Dan the owner still won't make the faulty stove right so I suppose it's a great thing g we find out now. They're a scam. They'll sell you an appliance that doesn't work, and when you bring it back, they'll replace it with one worth less than what you paid. Happened to me, happened to a friend. Don't buy from them even once. read more

Do not shop there I took there 90 days as cash I ask if there was any others charges and was told no when I went to pay it off there was a 200 charge for using that plan beware they will lie to you and the American first finacne co seem to be working together to screw you, time you pay extr fees go some where else. ZERO STARS!! I can't believe you all are still in business. You should be ashamed of yourselves. I dealt with Joshua on the phone. He said he had a refrigerator for me. Sends me two pictures. Front and one of the sides looked good. He never mentioned any damage. I also paid $80 for Haul Away. When they did have 3rd company drop off my 'new' fridge and haul away the old one... they didn't. I would rate zero if I could. I have had one of the worst experiences ever from this store. I paid cash for a refurbished washer which had to be replaced 3 times before I got a smaller one that worked. Then I finance a fridge and stove set which the fridge didn't work. I lost all my food they said they had one close to what I bought they would switch out handles to make it match stove but then called stating it didn't work. I agreed to take a long anee fridge while they fixed the one I bought even though it wasn't anything like I wanted or matching after a month I'm still stuck with it and the freezer on it doesn't work! No one at store will answer my calls or messages. I am currently waiting to see if finance company can do anything to help me. I already let them know I will be contacting BBB as well as attorney generals office as all the items have warranty which they aren't honoring. They advertise cheaper rates yet when you go into store the prices are way higher. I hope someone does something to stop them scamming more people. read more

The only reason they got one star is because there isn't a no star option. To make a long story short, during a delivery across the street, they blocked my drive. When I asked the delivery helper that they needed to move, he cursed at me and told me that they could park wherever they wanted and there was nothing I could do about it. I feel like I should warn bargain hunters like myself about this business. When my refrigerator suddenly died, I found reasonably priced used options on Facebook, which led me to this store. The first salesperson was kind and helpful and said that if, by chance, the fridge I selected didn't fit into the cut out area of my kitchen, I could exchange it. It was slightly too wide, and the best option was $100 less. A different salesperson explained that I wouldn't be refunded the difference and would also pay for another delivery. I expected to pay the extra delivery fee but they had no right to keep the extra $100. I was told that a new load of used refrigerators would arrive the next day and I could select one closer to what I had paid. I arrived at the suggested time and the delivery had not arrived yet but the salesperson spoke to the manager driving the truck, as I waited, and assured me it would be there soon. He didn't call me, as he said he would, so I finally stopped in that evening and was told that there were no refrigerators on the truckload - very hard to believe; the manager drove the truck and knew I was waiting. I ended up losing the $100 and using a cooler for a week through the whole process. The delivery team was AWESOME both times, but I won't be going back. read more

Awful experience Had dryer replaced twice in 1 month

Wish could give zero stars, we bought a whirlpool cabrio set from them on july 28th 2019, delivery was set for July 30th, got here, hooked it up it ran they left. We kept it plugged in but turned off, as I was loading the washer I noticed I smelled burning, I touched the dryer and it was burning hot. I immediately unplugged the dryer. I decided after checking the vents to plug it in again. After 30 minutes it was burning hot again, we unplugged and called the store. They honored the warranty and had us exchange the dryer for another one. It was delivered August 1st. Again turned it on for a few minutes to show it worked and left. The outside did not get hot but when opening the door I immediately felt heat with it only being plugged in. The dryer worked well after 1 load but by the second load ( only sheets and a bath mat) it started to burn, I pulled the sheets out extremely wrinkled and having a burning smell. I unplugged it and by the next day it would not even turn on but heat could be felt on the inside with just it plugged in. We pulled the dryer out to check vents because they said our vents must be clogged. We found black tape on the wires. They also said our electric must be bad....it is a new completely remodeled house with brand new electric. We have only lived here a year. They laughed when we said it could have set our house on fire and refuse to give us a refund. The washer was also dirty, it had blackened old detergent in the tray. I took a picture of it after we cleaned it forgot to take one before. I want to warn customers to not go here, the appliances are not being fixed properly and they will just blame the customers instead of their products. read more

I bought a refrigerator from there and the freezer didn't work when coming home. We never tipped the refrigerator over to get in the house. They had a frozen water bottle in it at the time we bought and now we are wondering if they freeze water bottles and put them in there in the morning. I had a feeling it was a bad deal, I should've listened to myself. read more

I purchased a used washer in December 2020 and a brand new dryer and both are giving me issues the washer don't just spin and drain when I have it on spin and drain it would fill it up and then spin and drain and it will still leave the clothes soaked and the dryer for being brand new I have to use it for like 3 to 4 hours straight just to dry my clothes I contacted them & the guy basically didn't give me a chance to explain everything that was going on before he interrupted me and said text them a picture of my receipt to the phone number I called which is the same number on google and that they'll send me a new washer so I did and nobody ever got back to me I called a couple times and no answer I'm highly disappointed and will never spend my money here ever again or recommend this place to anybody I hope they enjoy them $1000 because this is just wrong read more

I was debating whether or not to write a review but here it goes. Going into the store, I had a great experience with the floor staff (I can't remember their names) but super knowledgeable, good conversation, and smooth experience. It was after this that things went downhill. We were promised delivery on Saturday. Friday night, we received a call asking if we would be home - I asked if we can get an estimated time since we were still moving and the man said no, he has to route it out. So I asked if he can call me in the morning to let me know and he said no. So we arranged to be at the new house all day to wait. At around 8 pm, we get a call saying he is running late and could we reschedule and I said no since we had been waiting all day and he said ok we will still make it but it will be late, and I said OK thanks. Around 9:30 pm we got a call saying he isn't going to come but he will make us his first stop Sunda morning. Fine. Sunday morning, I got a call saying he was on his way and should be here by 9 am, he didn't show until 10:30 am. He had a bit of an attitude and smelled like weed. At this point, I was over it and just wanted it done but no, that couldn't happen. He forgot the screws to install the dryer plug to the actual dryer itself and he also forgot the bed frame for the queen size bed we purchased so basically the washer and dryer still couldn't be used and the bed couldn't be set up. He said it was his fault and he would come back that evening because he knows he messed up, and nothing. No show, no call, no nothing. At this point, I tried calling Mattress and Appliance and they did not answer. I called back to back 3-4 times until finally, someone answered, they apologized and said they would get to the bottom of it. Monday evening, I called back - again multiple times to get someone to answer and the guy told me that someone would be in touch with me. Tuesday, the delivery guy said he was picking up the stuff at the store and would be over Tuesday night. Fine. Tuesday evening, I got a call from the delivery guy saying he was in Kentucky (a minimum of 45 minutes away) and would be by really late. I asked how late because the person waiting at the house goes to bed early, and he couldn't tell me. By the point, I was over it and contacted Mattress and Appliances asking them to take this stuff back and refund my money because I had been patient enough. The guy never responded to my statement and then I got a call from the owner of the 3rd party delivery - stating he was sorry for his associates and he would be coming to my house HIMSELF to finish the job. He finally showed up around 10 pm and finished the job. I never heard back from the company and didn't even receive a discount on my shipping. Appliance and Mattress's verdict on that was, its not their problem because it was the shipper's fault so they can't refund that. At this point, I am glad its over, but I would NEVER recommend ANYONE use this company. Also, side note, they offer you the option for 90 days same as cash through a company called Progressive Leasing, but they did not explain that the payments would be auto drafted from your bank account on each of your paydays, PLUS, they add a crazy 30% interest and include that in your payments so basically for my $900 purchase, Progressive was going to be taking $75 Bi-weekly, so $150 per month for 2 years for a grand total of around $1900. I ended up paying it off the following week, but I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't realize this and thinks they can just pay it off over time. This should be stated up front. Don't waste your time with these people. I understand the 3rd party delivery company isn't Appliance and Mattress directly, but thats no excuse considering THEY use them - I didn't pick them, so they should be responsible for a solution when they mess up. I should have been compensated for at the VERY MINIMUM the delivery fees but nope. read more

In October, 2017, I saw a Facebook ad for this company, rented a truck, bought a washer and dryer set, took it home to my 2nd floor apt and the washer broke within a week. Called the manager, he told me to bring it back and, exchange it. I told him that wasn't going to happen and they should send a tech out. He wanted to charge me to send the tech out, and when I refused that, he hung up on me and woudn't answer again. Long story short, after trying for days to reach him, I reported the company to the Ohio Attorney General. My washer was fixed about a month later. Only for the tech guy's girlfriend to get my personal information and text me, accusing me of having an affair with the tech because he came out after hours. A total mess! read more

I would save your money and pay a little more someplace else. We purchased a used fridge from this store that ended up having bugs coming from the interior light, no amount of cleaning seem to get rid of them. We called to see how we would go about getting our money back and was told we had to talk to the owner. The owner is never there. We are now past our 30 days and still no resolution. So we had to break down and go buy a new fridge from a different store. Buyer beware. read more

Service dog?? Yeah he and his wife looked to be in great health. & Definitely wasn't equal value. It was dinged up and a basic top loader. Also, I am aware I had to sign for it and I did. However, when that one also had issues after about a week I was refused help because my original washer's warranty was up. Makes no sense. Props to you for ripping people off. read more
