A nice warm breakfast with unbeatable cheap prices when you order using their app. They have a drinks menu for $3, which includes iced teas, chai latte, pistachio cold brew, matcha latte and many more. That pricing has to be one of the best deals in NYC! Service was fast, we ordered using the app and the drinks and pastry were ready within minutes. We came in the late morning, so it was not very busy. I would expect that during the morning rush, it might take a bit more time to be served. The omelette is SO good. I actively think about the warm flaky croissant and the soft cream cheese with the slight acidity from the tomato. Goes so well with the jiggly omelette itself! The only thing to be aware of is that this location does not have space to sit inside and eat. They have two tiny tables outside, so this would not fit a big group, or be a location that you can sit inside. But works great if you want to grab a yummy drink and a bite to eat in the city!

It's raining Matto Espressos in the City. I finally had a coffee and cake here at the 57th Street & Lexington Avenue location. This cafe is tiny with bar stools and a counter. I had a Cortado and a slice of coffee cake. The coffee was fine but the coffee cake was ordinary. All the baked items at all these cafes are made in a commissary in Long Island City. Most coffees and eats are priced at $3.27 to make it affordable for everyone. This is their marketing concept. Since Covid, Matto Espresso which is a franchise has also mushroomed with over twenty locations. It definitely fills a need for those who want a quick cup of coffee and something tasty to eat. There is one chilled drink, the Iced Banana Latte, that costs more than the normal price, that I am keen to try. It is sold at all the Matto Espresso cafes.

Great place for a cheap and quick coffee! Warning there's no seating inside so really only come for the coffee. That said, if you order ahead in the app, all coffee is $2.50! Which is amazing compared to all the pricey nyc coffee shops. Baristas here are pretty friendly and good at getting your coffees and pastries ready in time for you to head out to the rest of your day. The inside is nice is clean, making it super easy to pop in and out!

Hot Dignity Dog !!!  Can't say no to a free coffee at this new Matto Espresso shop.  I can spot a Matto a mile away due to the iconic Tarot card they have  and the red letter MATTO sign so when I spotted it I had to check it out. It's a bit small with a stand up counter inside and a few tables outside, but I expect most orders here will be to go.   The usual Matto's everything for $2 , or $2.50 sign was gone, and I had to pay $3 for a brownie, I guess Matto couldn't stop inflation especially on Lexington Ave.    They still have pliantly of decent number of muffins , cakes, cookies and even at $3 they are worth the money

Finally tried Matto at their newest location! Had the iced coffee with a splash of milk and it was great! Smooth and not acidic at all! The pastries looked good too, but I had just eaten breakfast so I didn't get any. Next time, I'll be sure to try some. Friendly staff too!

Matto has been popping up everywhere! The newest location is in midtown east. One of the smaller locations, but has 3 tables outside of you want to sit & dine. Great coffee and a variety of baked goods. Love that they offer vegan and GF options too. No restroom. No Wi-Fi.

Do not assume discount price means bodega quality. The coffee and pastry are good and whether get on app for 2.50 or in person 3.00 it is great value for money.

I stumbled upon Matto Espresso and it turns out to be a franchise with multiple locations. The store manager kindly informed me that the decor and menu are consistent across all of their locations. Despite being open for only eight months, the manager was patient in answering all of my questions. I was particularly impressed with the stunning ceiling decor and reasonable pricing. Everything is bake by them and I do see a few interesting ones. I recommend trying their egg with vegetarian sausage on a whole grain roll. I would suggest stopping by.

It came out as a thick piece of deep-fried toast topped with ice cream, boba, caramel popcorn, and strawberries on the side. Not healthy at all, but really good. It's one of those desserts you probably wouldn't get every day, but worth trying at least once. Fun to share and definitely something different from the usual desserts.

They have a water dispenser, two locking bathrooms, and plenty of outlets, so I already have a very positive view of Grace Street as a good place to rest. The food is alright. It's a bit overpriced and the teas are not good quality. However, the desserts are delicious. I usually split a slice of basque cheesecake with my friends. The regular and matcha have both been good in my experience. I don't like chocolate cake, so I haven't tried that variety. I wish the pumpkin was available in the smaller size too! I've tried their boba, and it isn't good. The hot teas are okay but not great. They're pretty much just syrup and milk. I would avoid the drinks and just get the desserts! I haven't personally tried the bingsoo, but I've heard good things. The waffle is alright--all in all, come here to recharge and for the basque cheesecake!

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.

They're a little pricey, but each donut is a pretty hefty ring of chewy glutinous rice flour batter. I had them the following morning, and the donuts still tasted fresh. There was a little bit of oiliness from the frying, but it did not taste off or too greasy. I think this is from the meticulous frying process and good management of the oil. I got the Cookies and Cream, Rose, Lavender, and Pistachios. I loved the Rose and Lavender flavors, especially the lavender which had a solid floral flavor without being perfume-y.
