The biggest positive for Connie's is that everything is consistent. I've ordered numerous cakes from her and it's been good every time. Also the taste is far better than the swill that you would get for a cake at Giant, Redners, or Weis. The only downside to the store is that there is no parking at all. There are only a couple of metered street spaces and once those are gone you are either parking a block or two away or need to go into a parking deck. Connie's is the perfect mix of taste and value.

I wish I would have bought more than 4 pieces of tomato pie, it was GREAT. I also bought several donuts - the key lime was memorable! The brightly colored layered cookies with chocolate frosting were very good (wish I remembered their name) - I ate them in the car before I pulled away. I will be back. The only thing not perfect is I had to park far away and the stairs are a little steep for a 78 year old with bad knees. But a lady held the door open for me to get down the stairs with my bags of goodies. Depending on how long you've been going there, everything I tried was as good as the original owners. The staff was very good to me too. I had to wait a few minutes for my tomato pie.

Overall pleasant. I actually preferred the chocolate one, though- the chocolate filling was dark and rich, and there was a good amount of it inside the croissant. The croissant dough had layers, although it seems like they had somewhat collapsed- it might be because I ate them some time after they had been baked, but unsure. It did not feel condensed or too chewy, though. I wasn't the one who ordered them, so can't speak much about the service. Their round meat pie & Egyptian (open-faced) sausage pie are both delicious and the flavors have nice depth. Definitely recommend both! I also like the baklava & peanut cookies (balls) which are delish, fresh & authentic. They're light with just enough sweetness, so great it needs a cup of nice hot tea to go with it!
